All of the blue trampolines were super stiff and hard to bounce on. The two grey trampolines were super slippery. There was a food area but in order to pay, you had to go all the way back to the front counter and back just to pay for your food and get it. The manager's office was made out of glass and was right in the middle of everything. Finally, the bathrooms were not very clean. The doors seemed very messed up. In total, not a very nice place. We tried rinsing the kids off before leaving but were grossed out by the bathroom. The curtains had mold and as a mother with a little one who has sensitive skin and allergies, that was a no for me. We drove well out of our way to stop here and even got a hotel for the night because we arrived later than expected. It was 100% worth it! There are other locations in Louisiana where you can hold an alligator, but here it is absolutely free. Every person we came in contact with was warm and friendly. They told us all about the gators, from their ages, to what they feed them and how they live at the Chateau. We learned that they paint their nails and even have a chart so you can tell how old the hatchlings and so much more. The highlight for me was obviously holding the baby gator but for my husband it was seeing the giant snapping turtle they have living there. He must have watched it for 20 minutes. It was like seeing a dinosaur. They have tons of great information about things to see and do in the area and the cutest gift shop area with gator plushies and water bottles that say things like "See you later, alligator!". Everything here was just so cute and fun. I was smiling the whole time. They also had clean restrooms and plenty of parking. Overall, the store has a good selection, but I would recommend customers carefully inspect livestock size and condition before purchasing. But one big issue is that they do tend to be more pricey than other areas I've seen which is fair I get that family owned business but still.
