Gamestop - Inside - Videos & Video Game Rental Near Me - Tucson, Arizona

I ran into this place because I was on the way to a friend's house and had forgotten to exchange part of my Switch controller. I had actually bought it a few days before at another location. Otherwise it is quite a drive from my side of town. How I wish it was near me, since they have great service here. Not only that, but I would venture to say that this is the best GameStop in town. They had a wonderful varied stock of games, merchandise, you name it, they had it. In addition to that, the people there were incredibly knowledge about the systems they were selling and were able to recommend a few titles that turned out to be completely awesome. It's very rare when I am impressed by a GameStop as much as I was by this place. I would totally recommend coming here, and will make sure to stop by whenever I'm on their side of town. read more

Stopped in last night to buy the latest hot game, "Red Dead Redemption". Also traded in an old PS3 game system and several games. I was surprised to find they still took that old of a system as a trade! The customer service was great, all of the staff really enjoy talking about the latest games, offer their opinion and other customer input about how good or bad a game is. Another toy store for me, plenty of stuff I don't need but spend my money in anyway! read more

My back up GameStop, A little far from my house but they usually have a really good selection. Lots and lots to choose from. And as always, as at most GameStops, everybody is nice and helpful. read more

I love this Gamestop location, mostly because it's close to my home and it's not near a mall! You really can't beat that! It's in a nice little shopping center, with plenty of good parking. The store itself is a little bit cramped, but always clean and very organized. I was actually really surprised to see that the used games were basically all in alphabetical order. That made searching for the games I was looking for super easy. And with their rather plentiful stock of used (Xbox 360) games, I thought it was going to be a daunting task to find those games, if I ever did. But in reality, it took me about two minutes total to find two games. Nice! Their prices are ok. For used games -- very old used games -- the prices are fine. For newer used games, I think you'd be better off going to the internet and getting a brand new game for the same amount as Gamestop's used prices. But if you don't want to wait for the shipping, then pay the little bit extra and go in to Gamestop and get what you want immediately. Decisions, decisions. The staff here have always been very helpful, nice, and knowledgable. They always make sure to explain their return policy, which I feel is pretty generous on used games. They give you seven days for a full refund if you don't like the game (or if you beat it, hint hint). There's also a 30 day warranty for used games that may be defective. All-in-all, not bad. Overall, this is a good Gamestop. Definitely where I'll continue to go for my used game fixes. read more

One of the best Gamestops on the eastside of town. Maybe due to the traffic they have, this store always has a greater variety of used games than the other stores. I always search online and then call ahead from the gamestop website to make sure they have what I want, esp if there is a Buy 2 get 1 promotion. I have been to 3 midnight releases here and it is pretty tame compared to other stores. The staff are awlays willing to share ideas. Because they get busy, I notice they have less time to talk than other stores and are more to the point. Located West of Target in a separate strip mall like area next to a Starbucks. read more

I went in to make a purchase on 7/11/2022. I opened the door and waved to the cashier who turned to me with a arrogant look. He was helping another customer which was a little understandable. I picked up the items I wanted to purchase. A mother and her son came in shortly after I did and they were greeted by him. He stopped what he was doing with the first customer to attend to their needs (mom and son). I got in line behind them and waiting for some time. Not once did he offer to ring me out nor did he call for back up to ring me out. I walked out and took my money to Fry's to purchase what I needed. I'm a long time customer of that location and I've never received such rudeness till today. I usually take my kids their to spend their money. As long as I know that guy is working there, I'll gladly take my money elsewhere. If no stars was an option, I'd give it. read more

Awesome Store Always clean always friendly always well stocked only negative is the lack of staff it seems that they are always 1 employee short read more

Hands down THE friendliest and therefore best GameStop store I've ever been to... I feel like everyone working there is really a gaming nerd (don't worry, that is a compliment) and aren't just putting on an act because it's their job.... The staff even remembers my wife and I when we come in! One time I was feeling nostalgic and wanted to purchase a refurbished GameCube... When I asked if they had any memory cards for sale as well, the clerk just handed one to me, for free... They could have tried to charge me a few dollars, but little gestures like that show that not only do they really value your business, they really just want to make gamers happy... read more

Usually don't have any problems at Gamestop, other than there is generally a long wait. However, i have an issue that I've seen many other people encounter lately, as well as myself and my husband. When you're checking out they will give you your total, and of youre not careful they automatically add on a warranty/protection fee for your items. Two times we have noticed that the person helping us "realizes" it and as soon as you swipe your card says "oh by the way", and informs you of the additional fee.i think this might be their really poor way of increasing their sales of their warranties and I dont like it at all. Don't add something to my bill that i didn't know i was paying for! read more

So I was in to pick up a copy of mutant football league dynasty edition they did not have any in tucson so I paid extra to have it get here in 2 days and was told I would not get the game in the mail until Wednesday now this normally would not bother me but I have been a loyal GameStop customer for about 10 years now and after my power up rewards pro card runs out I will not be shopping here anymore I guess I am just another person spending money in there store and I am done buying from gamestop. Would I recommend gamestop to a friend no to an enemy yes name withheld read more

I went in to trade in XBOX games and I had no idea that they did not accept them. The staff suggestedI take it to Bookman's for trade and I was impressed by the recommendation. It was great! read more

Seems like there is a lack of staff. After standing in the store for twenty minutes and not even being addressed or asked if I needed help I left. read more

Most Gamestop locations I've been too are littered with pretentious gaming nerd employees, but this one is always the exact opposite. This location -- as well as the one next Park Place -- always has a friendly staff who is understanding, knowledgeable and informative. Love this location. read more

Helpful staff, easy to work with and friendly. Location is perfect too. Sandwiched between Starbucks & Peter Piper. My Gamestop of choice. read more

Don't go here if you want to sell stuff. Go to the one on 22nd street. I went here last night to try to sell my unlocked Iphones. After a 20 min ordeal that included the guy calling his manager-- they said they could not take unlocked phones. I went home and got on their web site. They had unlocked IPhones for sale on the web site, so I knew that they do. I called the one on 22nd and Kolb today and was promptly told that they do indeed take them-- they just had to be tied to a major carrier (ATT, Sprint, Verizon) previously before the unlock. The guy was nice, but clueless. read more

The customer service was excellent! My boyfriend had told me he put down $30 to preorder a game and as a surprise I wanted to pay the rest off for him. After driving 30min from Vail they told me that their system was down and that they were unable to do anything for me. Initially I was ready to give up but I ended up walking back in and explained the situation asking for some kind of compensation because it did not seem fair. Randy overheard and was willing to charge me for the remaining cost of the game on a gift card to be applied to the game the very next day with a text message confirmation of the receipt. I greatly appreciated the assistance and they really seem to care about their customers. Needless to say my boyfriend was overjoyed and we will both be sure to frequent this GameStop! read more

This location is hit or miss. There are times when I walk in and the employees are nice and very helpful. Other times I get a very rude staff that have smart remarks for every question you have. It sucks because I live about five minutes away but I honestly rather pay the extra money and get my games at the Target across the street. read more

Tried to find the Gamestop on Harrison and Old Spanish trail near the Target, I assume this is it since its the only one listed on yelp at Old Spanish Trail... way back in November of 2015 I came in to that location and the staff was amazing. Needed to get DLC put on an Xbox360 that wasnt connected to the internet; the staff totally accommodated me. Got everything downloaded in store which took HOURS from open to close. They were awesome and professional, they didnt have to download anything as it would take their time but they did it anyways. It was a man and lady duo. Highly recommend that location if you want the best customer service by people who care. read more

Been here a few times this year and this is by far the best Gamestop in Tucson. The store is cluttered, but clean. There's a decent selection of games, but what really makes this location is the staff. A few other stores have had some pretentious gamer elitist that looks down on you, not this place. The staff is always inviting, courteous, and of course professional. They do seem short staffed at times, but gotta give it to the crew for making it work. read more

Very friendly! It does not matter if your a gamer, or buying for a gamer. They have great customer service and are willing to help. They acknowledge you as soon as you enter to either help you or to let you know they will be right with you. read more

The staff know what they are talking about. They can help you find what you are looking for and if you don't know what you want they can help you by recommending something to you. They are very nice people I can go down there just talk to them about games in general and they don't mind talking to you I found myself talking to them for 15 minutes. I would recommend this gamestop to anyone and is the only one that I go to in town. read more
