A small hobby shop just outside the heart of Robinson…read more Mostly focuses on collectible trading card games but offers some books (trade paper backs, manga, mostly silver age coward comics), hero-clix, D&D accessories, and other collectibles like pop-funko. The store seems to always be going though an identify crisis, which often seems to hinder the growth that should have happened already. That always disappoints me as I really think that there is a solid core to this store. The owner, while not always business savvy, is one of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. Always jovial, kind, and will go out of your way to do something for you, but this seems to always lead to the guy being taken advantage of. The selection overall seems to be pretty average. Not a fan of the cards NOT being displayed in the display cases, but the kiosk in the front of the store will be satisfactory for now. I would really like them to bring back the binders and for them to utilize the display cases again in the future. It is also painfully apparent that they've outgrown the current store quite a while ago. I do surely hope they're able to move into a larger store in the near future. Overall it could be a lot worse. The store has the privilege of being in Robinson, but doesn't seem to always utilize the position they're in. I hope they can expand in the future so that I may update the stores progress then.

Whether you're really into Lego just a casual fan of the bricks like me, the new Bricks & Minifigs…read moreNorth Pittsburgh in Allison Park is the real deal for LEGO enthusiasts of all ages and skill levels to buy, sell, and trade LEGO. The large store is well-organized by theme, well-stocked with bulk bricks and sets, and well-staffed by friendly and knowledgeable folks. The store carries bulk LEGO as well as new and used sets and minifigs, with inventory that is constantly being refreshed with current and retired minifigs and sets. The staff here actually knows their stuff and they're happy to help whether you're looking for a specific retired set or just want to dig through the LEGO bulk bins. They're personable, straightforward, and passionate about LEGO. I've been to plenty of hobby shops that suffer from the curse of knowledge -- trying to overcomplicate things or giving you an attitude in a misguided attempt to demonstrate that they know more than their customers, but the vibe from the staff in this location was helpful and low-pressure. Pricing is very fair for what you're getting, especially for the rarer minifigs and sets. Definitely worth a trip if you're in the area! PRO TIP: Bricks & Minifigs North Pittsburgh also has a party / meeting room available to be reserved for private events with whether you're planning a LEGO-themed birthday party, bridal shower, fantasy sports draft, or corporate event. Contact the store staff to book the space.

I shopped in this particular store in Robinson Township once. The store had a large selection of merchandise. I saw decorations for Thanksgiving and Christmas, mirrors, candles, some small furniture, fabric and yarn, flowers, party decorations, art supplies, model vehicles, paints, etcetera. Prices were reasonable. I bought only a couple of small items, because I did not really need anything. I personally would visit this store mostly for holiday decorations, although I do think that it would be good for people who have artsy hobbies. The cashier rang up my purchase promptly and accurately, and she politely thanked me.

Shady. They swindled my boyfriend…read more He was buying some bracelets that had a sign that said 2 for $8 leather bracelets. He was picking out a few and while he was doing that the worker walked up to him and he said "these are 2 for $8 right?" She says yes and helps him take the ones he wants off the display. She then starts bringing over beaded bracelets from the table adjacent to show him - showing him like 3/4 at a time and does this maybe 3 times. He picked a few out of the beaded ones she showed him. He never touched these bracelets. She just held onto the ones he picked. She told him she could hold onto all the bracelets and took them to the register. He then went and looked at a section further down on the table she was pulling from and picked one more to buy that was a little pricier. He figured he was going to pay like $40. He goes to the register and she is adding up the total on a calculator. While she's doing this he pulls out his debit card and is holding it in his hand with his hand on the counter but against his body still. She is also removing the price tags as she is ruining them up. She reaches across the register and takes his card out of his hand. Finishes adding the merchandise then swipes his card WITHOUT TELLING HIM THE PRICE. He thinks nothing of this - takes the bag - and we walk 6 steps from the register. In this time, he looks at the receipt and sees he was charged $94 for 10 bracelets! That were labeled 2 for $8 and handed to him as if they were the same price. We immediately turn around and go back to the worker and tell her we didn't expect it to be this much. We ask how much the beaded ones were (because they obviously weren't 2 for $8) and she tells us $18!!! (Almost 5 times as much as the specific price range he said he wanted). We say we didn't know they were that much and ask if we can return them. She just tells us no refunds. The receipt was not accurate at all. It showed $94.14, dated in 2000, and said cash when he used a card. They also charged his card $94.16 instead of what the receipt said. Completely scammed him.
