My husband seemed to feel impressed by the inventory of merchandise. We saw vintage video-game systems from Nintendo, Gameboy, Sega Genesis, XBox, and PlayStation. He also said that he will return in the future to purchase more things, because their prices are very reasonable.

That's what got us, we saw a few things that we wanted to see more of. There are multiple aisles of glass cases filled with every console ever made. Mixed in in those cases are games for each of those consoles. Also, there are a few other things that I don't even remember. Being that the items were in glass cases it almost felt like we were in a gaming museum. Especially after seeing some of the prices for some of the consoles. A lot of them are more expensive than when they were first released. I can see some of the variations of systems being expensive, but almost all of them were a bit too much. After scoping out the merchandise we were back out into the mall. Especially since the employees inside seemed to be amazingly bored and couldn't be bothered to look up from behind the counter.

SUPER NICE! I have…read morebeen meaning to come here and check this local business out and today the kids and I finally did. The place was nice and cool to escape the warm weather, several tables in the middle for various card games, free little candies for the kids and I assume for the adults too. :) Everything is neat and organized and you can play any game they have before you buy it to check it out. The kids were talking to the owners about card games and she asked if they had ever played MAGIC and they said no, so she gave them each a free deck and talked to them about it. I was impressed by everything here and the prices were good as well. They are moving into a new location (still in SUNCREST, but a bigger location) in about a month.

I'm a big fan of retro game shops, so I was excited to visit this place while staying with a friend…read morein the area. It was a mixed experience. While their selection is decent, the prices are pretty much all on par with or higher than what you can expect to find online for the same items. This is pretty typical for local game shops so I don't hold that against them. However, what was weird was as soon as we walked in, we were apparently on a livestream they were doing. That's kind of weird to be filmed immediately upon entering a business, particularly with no written warning outside. We still walked around inside (thankfully mostly out of camera range), but the employees seemed very intent on their stream and keeping things "interesting" with their commentary. It was overall a pretty off-putting experience, despite the fact that their business otherwise seemed like a cool addition to the local business environment. I would consider returning here again in the future to give them another try, though I have to state the obvious: first impressions are important, and running a business still remains more about the customers in your store than your following online. Overall: 3.0 stars ---- Pros: - Nicely-laid out store with a good presentation. - Prices are pretty on par with most other small retro gaming stores: same/higher prices than online, though still fun to look through and support if you find something you like. - Available street parking outside. Cons: - Walking into an active stream and being on camera without warning might seem quaint considering how online the world is today, but I wasn't a fan. I would have been somewhat more okay with this if they had put up a sign outside about it. Also, their commentary was pretty typical for the online gaming community but a bit off-color for public consumption in terms of professionalism.
