A small hobby shop just outside the heart of Robinson…read more Mostly focuses on collectible trading card games but offers some books (trade paper backs, manga, mostly silver age coward comics), hero-clix, D&D accessories, and other collectibles like pop-funko. The store seems to always be going though an identify crisis, which often seems to hinder the growth that should have happened already. That always disappoints me as I really think that there is a solid core to this store. The owner, while not always business savvy, is one of the nicest, most genuine people you'll ever meet. Always jovial, kind, and will go out of your way to do something for you, but this seems to always lead to the guy being taken advantage of. The selection overall seems to be pretty average. Not a fan of the cards NOT being displayed in the display cases, but the kiosk in the front of the store will be satisfactory for now. I would really like them to bring back the binders and for them to utilize the display cases again in the future. It is also painfully apparent that they've outgrown the current store quite a while ago. I do surely hope they're able to move into a larger store in the near future. Overall it could be a lot worse. The store has the privilege of being in Robinson, but doesn't seem to always utilize the position they're in. I hope they can expand in the future so that I may update the stores progress then.

I'll go there…read moreto pick up my monthly books and end up staying over an hour talking to Lou, the owner, and the other patrons about anything and everything. If you're a collector of current, single-issue comics, that is this store's specialty, but if you want graphic novels or collectibles, you can still order those too. Lou is extremely knowledgeable. He has rarely recommended a book to me that I haven't enjoyed, and he won't steer you in the direction of bad books just to make a sale. Just make sure you have cash in your wallet before you go though, because this store is cash only.

But I really did want this, as they are fairly rare to come across in person. I would have been willing to pay $50 a box, but the employee told me there was absolutely no wiggle room. When I told him the value of these is always less than $40, i was told that "Yeah but when they came out they were going for more" Product will always go up and down, these guys have no problem when it goes up. But if it goes down, they wont change their sticker price and are unwilling to accommodate. They would rather (maybe eventually) scam their own customers.

I wanted to sell locally to support local business, as opposed to selling on eBay or to an online retailer. I met the owner, and he was able to get me a very reasonable offer for the collectibles that I brought in. They were some action figures that I had bought and some that were gifted to me. As he was going over what I had brought in, I took a look around the store as this was my first time there. I was thoroughly impressed by the variety of collectible figurines, toys, comics, etc. Its a comic lovers paradise. I need to go back and spend more time there when I'm in a shopping mood (perhaps the next birthday or holiday gift for a friend down the road). Overall, an excellent experience.
