I regularly find hidden gems, common bangers, and a wide selection every time I go in since they opened. On rare occasions where I needed their service help they have always come through and made good which makes me always feel confident in my purchases. Trade in prices are also competitive especially w store credit. They have a pretty focused toy and Pokémon selection too that I don't really get into but I've been there plenty of times when someone happily picked up something cool. My husband seemed to feel impressed by the inventory of merchandise. We saw vintage video-game systems from Nintendo, Gameboy, Sega Genesis, XBox, and PlayStation. And find a place with some fans or working A/C if you want to play in a public place in the summer months. I can only imagine how cold it gets up there in the winter. We went to the store a few days ago and felt that the young lady was fair in the offer she gave us for the few items we brought in to sell. As a result, we thought it was safe to bring the rest of my collection all at once tonight. Unfortunately, my husband and I truly feel like a fast one was played on us. We brought well over 50 items into the store. After waiting approximately 45 minutes for the three associates to look over the items, the young man called us to the counter to let us know that they were only interested in purchasing quote, unquote just a few things. He pointed to a bag sitting behind the counter that was stuffed to the top with my collectibles and said that they were not interested in hardly any of the action figures or collectible figurines. He then pointed over to a shelf which only appeared to have 12 items tops and said these are the few things that we are interested in purchasing. His offer was $20 store credit or $16 cash. Thinking it was only if you items I took the offer and brought my throne about collection back to my car. I just got back to my house and realized that I was never given a receipt showing what exactly they bought in the price they gave me for each item. On top of that, when I went through my collection that was hardly stuffed in the bag I found it was more like 25 to 30 items most of which were my action figures and collectible figurines. Needless to say I am not happy in the least. I have been searching online and all through the website looking for a contact form or an email. I would really like to formally document my complaint and dissatisfaction. Oh well... I guess I am going to just have to personally go into the store tomorrow to the bottom of this. I took the bus there to avoid any parking issues --Ambience-- Think of a Gamestop but will a clean interior and the game organize by consoles and knowledgeable staff willing to help you. I recommend this local gem if you are looking any retro and non-console media/gaming/ etc. --Service/Staff-- The staff knew their stuff. Friendly and energetic. I wouldn't mind spending time there to nerd out on pop culture. --Food/Products-- Wide range of media from video games (which I was interested in) to CDs to toys to many Blu-ray. It's like a Gamestop and Best buy in media selection all in one. --Capacity-- The Forbes Ave location is kind of small. I would say about 20 or so people would be crowded in the store and could make it awkward to walk around in the tight space. --Overall-- I would be back to see what new items they have in stock and see if people have traded items that I would be interested in.

I'm still trying to figure out what this space used to be before converting to a used console/game…read morespot. When you are walking by outside the window shopping will pull you in. That's what got us, we saw a few things that we wanted to see more of. There are multiple aisles of glass cases filled with every console ever made. Mixed in in those cases are games for each of those consoles. Also, there are a few other things that I don't even remember. Being that the items were in glass cases it almost felt like we were in a gaming museum. Especially after seeing some of the prices for some of the consoles. A lot of them are more expensive than when they were first released. I can see some of the variations of systems being expensive, but almost all of them were a bit too much. After scoping out the merchandise we were back out into the mall. Especially since the employees inside seemed to be amazingly bored and couldn't be bothered to look up from behind the counter.

We live about 2 hours away but we have youth hockey that brings us to this area monthly. We stop by everytime we get within 30 minutes. I collect games, accessories and consoles for the NES and N64. They usually have a really good selection of NES games. We also pick up PS2 and PS3 games and they have quite a lot of those as well. Beyond that they have a fun arcade of retro games and a serious collection of Pop figures for sale. They sell other items and have recently added retro t-shirts. The staff are super friendly and quick to share their knowledge. They always ask if your want your cartridges cleaned before buying and their pricing is fair! A great store for anyone loving retro! Also refreshing was the large selection of music, decor, and record players for sale. Everything was organized very well and we were surprised to see some things in pristine condition. I'm not sure I encountered an employee the entire time I was there. That was how low key they were, which was nice. No pressure and no one breathing down your neck. I personally don't usually shop for records, but the people I was with thought some of the prices were a little high. I thought the artwork seemed like a good value. The variety is worth stopping in for, for sure.
