I always go to this location and for the 1st time the opener arrived a couple min late and ultimately had customers waiting for 30 min from the scheduled time of opening that was shown for store hours on Sunday 8-31-2025. That is very unprofessional! read more

My brother did a Switch 2 preorder and was given false information on trade in values. He was told he had until the day of pickup to do the promotional extra $$$ trade in. Turns out there was a deadline and they would not honor the value. The representative he talked to in store said they were aware that the other employee had given the wrong information to MULTIPLE customers. So her mistake cost him $60, they would do nothing to make it right. He was told they sent an email to the district manager and they would respond if they felt necessary. Horrible customer service, seriously how do you ignore customers. Same happened at a different location in Inglewood. read more

Update: the assistant manager Nick helped me out when I went to the store to tell them my situation. At first seemed like he didn't believe me. But why would I lie about this. He was able to find the toy at another store and is having it shipped to his store for me. I'm so relieved and happy they found the toy for me. My son is going to be so happy. We are going to open the toy at the store to make sure the toy is in there when it arrives. This ruined my son's Christmas. I purchased a Transformers Legacy Motormaster toy for my son for Christmas and it wasn't cheap! The toy is not in the box! They swapped it with some other toys! My son was so excited when he unwrapped his gift this morning and seeing the Motormaster box. He opened up the box to NOT find Motormaster in it but some other type of toys that I don't even know where they're from. My son is a die hard transformers fan and this broke his little heart! He was so excited about this toy more than his other gifts. His heart was shattered. read more

Past times we've come here, a young lady would go above and beyond with a customer service. Though it was usually out of stock on products we usually search for, I'm satisfied with this store. Today, it was probably the worst experience. Around this time, 2-2:30PM, I approached a gentleman working behind the counter and asked if they had a game that I held in my hand for the ps5 because all I seen was the ps4 version. He proceeded to look, so I took the copy I had in my hand to put back where I found it and waited for about 10 minutes maybe. Couldn't wait any longer so that left. When I first approach the man, he seemed like he didn't want to be there. I felt bad so, I just left. read more

I came to pick-up "Animal Crossing" They called me a day ahead and told me they won't be able to do a midnight release due to Coronavirus, and they will be open at 10 AM on 3/20/2020. Well, to my surprise, I came to pick up my pre-order on 3/20/2020, and this GameStop was closed. I've been waiting for this game forever and have been coming to this GameStop in particular for years now. And as of now, I will no longer be giving GameStop my business. No wonder their company is in the shitter. read more

GameStop - Sadness - Video Game Stores Near Me - Santa Fe Springs, California

Arrived at 9pm for the early release of the new assassin creed game tonight on 10/4/23 for my birthday never had any problems at this location until now I've been coming here for years. I even waited 15 minutes for them to come to door and say it was already done at 9. when I was standing outside since that time of which one of their reps even called me earlier in the day to tell me that time. It was already paid in advance and they still couldn't give it to me like cmon I even had the receipt to prove it. I could understand if I was super late and arrived at 9:30 but the guy had the nerve to say they were closed well yea you guys took 15 min to come to the door and turned off the lights before they even attended to me. Long story short im going to come in tomorrow and make a formal complaint because this is horrible customer service I didn't even finish speaking before their rep slammed the fence down and went to the back of the store completely unprofessional. read more

My partner and I have been going to this GameStop for about a year and half and have made it our home store. We go here first for everything and have a pre-order list of about 30+ items. We have seen employees and manager come and go, and each one have been nothing but the sweetest, kindest and friendly people we have meet. The managers have always been very accommodating and willing to help. We have a couple Funko pops arrived damaged and they worked to get us a new one. I can't recommend this store enough. read more

Very dissatisfied with this GameStop today. I went in to pick up my pre ordered copy of Mad Max for PS4 and the clerk, thru a disingenuous smirk, told me they ran out of the little giveaway car that was to come with. I had preordered only a month ago yet I was reassured I would get a car. They even called me to invite me to a presale and did not one time mention they had a short supply. I stopped going to the Orange location because they had pulled the same crap on me there before. Now this location is doing it. I ordered my copy from Amazon on the way home. I won't be getting a car but I saved a buck and I get free shipping. read more

Good looking out by my man, the Dodger fan. Great addition to my girls room. Very good customer service you don't always see at stores like this, he took the time to walk me through some tips to save on my Funko addiction and pointed me in the direction of this bad boy that was perfect!! Stop on by people!! read more

GameStop - Video Game Stores Near Me - Santa Fe Springs, California

On a Friday evening around 4:00 pm I went to a nearby GameStop. Being the hungry consumer I am, I entered the store lead by my instinctual gaming spirit. Having just purchase Xbox live, a membership granting the buyer online battle access and other various treats, a few months ago I decided to also purchase credits. These credits allow one to buy items in the Microsoft Store on Xbox ranging from avatar clothing to games that are saved within the game console. Being rushed for time, I quickly removed myself from my mother's car and made my way to the cashier. The good point of this brick and mortar is that it is easily accessible for me, a condemned lazy American. The entrance of the shop is just a few feet away from its small parking lot. The small parking lot is a sensible idea since the narrow shop is small itself. While passing through the heavenly doors of GameStop, I headed straight to the cashier barely glancing and the assortments and collections of video games and cartridges neatly organized by shelf. When I finally reached my destination, unlike many other consumers before me, I blew my money on fake cash used for fake clothing on my very fake Xbox avatar. When I spend cash I feel far from exhilarated with overflowing excitement and surging joy. The nice lady at the cashier handed me my receipt with a kind smile after I handed over my payment. After arriving at my house I immediately turned on my Xbox and entered in the Microsoft credits from the receipt. I received what I wanted and I also experienced a fantastic and fast trip on my quest in search of the Microsoft credits. read more

I have to say I've had some strange experiences shopping in a GameStop, but never have I felt down right insulted. I went into this location to purchase a 4TB external hard drive and a copy of Overwatch. Immediately when I walked up to the counter I was greeted by a generic looking male staff member with "Oh are you taking up space on your boyfriends system?" Um, actually no he plays on my system. But thanks for asking. I asked for Overwatch and was told "You KNOW that game is only online right, that means it is hard". I repeatedly said I understood and had in fact played the game before, but was still met with this man telling me how hard it was and maybe I should pick something more "at my level". (I've been gaming for as much of my life as I can remember) When I pulled out my Pro card I was also informed I can't use my boyfriends rewards card. The card is mine. Once again thank you for assuming. How about you train your staff not to speak down to a customer because they assume all females are trash gamers. Won't purchase here again simply because I don't enjoy being talked to like and idiot. Ladies I would steer clear of this location, save yourself from the headache. read more

Robert the store leader is passionate and knowledgeable about these games! From the moment I called to check if they had a game in stock

I bought a game for my ps3 from here and it did not even work I am so pissed off right now and knowing game stop the will give me 2 cents

Extremely helpful and friendly staff. Much better than any other local gamestops. It's always a pleasure to go in and chat with the employees. This is how GameStops should be. It should be a good and friendly experience for gamers and non gamers alike. I'd recommend for anyone in the area to choose this particular GameStop and also encourage you to talk with the employees. They're a great group and always willing to have a friendly chat. read more

On Yelp it says they close at 9. But when I get there at 7:55 they already have the doors locked. after knocking on the door they don't even try and acknowledge that I am they and continue to ignore me. All I wanted was to check if they had a used game real quick. A super quick buy but that didn't happen. Another time I went there they don't even bother to help you. They talk to you like they are better and act snobby that I'm there trying to buy something. Worst GameStop I have ever been too. It's the closest one to me but now I believe I'll be looking for games somewhere else. read more

Buyers beware. I went in tonight to exchange a game I bought a week ago. The game was glitchy and it kept shutting down my sons ps4. We tried everything we could to figure it and even played this game on a different system to make sure it was the game. Anyhow I went in to exchange it for the same game. I didn't have my receipt but we had the purchase registered to our cell # to verify purchase. The girl there refuse to exchange it for us. I explained to her we barely had the game a week she even verified it was purchased a week ago. Still refused to exchange told me they Do NOT exchange opened games. She said I would have to have paid for the extra insurance. I explained to her we had already called GameStop and spoke to someone to verify we were able to exchange it before coming in. She still would not exchange it. I asked her what do I do I just spent $60 on bunk game? She basically told me to call Sony to figure it out. I left the store got home and called another store in Brea. They told me it's company policy to exchange within 30 days. Any opened game can be exchanged! I had her wait on the phone with me so I could drive back to the store and when I got to the store I told the same girl what the other store told me and she said they do differently at her store and as I'm talking to her the girl from the other store tells me to hand my phone to this girl and she tells its says so on the back Of the receipt they exchange games. As she talking on the phone I look down and see they even have it printed on the counter while this girl is saying she didn't know that? How do you manage a store and not know the return policy? Terrible customer service from Santa Fe springs location. Better off driving further to another location where customer service is better. I will not shop here anymore. read more

During Christmas 2015, I was in line ready to buy over $500 worth of products to include, a Nintendo 3DS, 3DS Pokémon game, PS4 dual chargers, 6 PS4 games: Rainbow 6, Star Wars Battlefront, 4 BO3s. (Yeah, I have 3 PS4s). The tall overweight clerk was a jerk to some kid that didn't know where the line started and he was very inconsiderate to me, he began helping someone else who wasn't in line, asshole move to not help that kid but helped someone else and took forever. I was ready to dump all the stuff over the counter and leave, but decided to have more class and left my stuff there on the counter. Went over to the other Gamestop at the Whittier Quad. Was treated better and will do my business there from now on. read more

This gamestop has really gone down hill ever since their manager was let go. The staff isn't as helpful or courteous as they used to be. I used to walk in they'd say hello and wave. They'd ask if you need help....then I say they brought over a manager from an other gamestop in a town near by. That manager was the reason I stopped going to the one in the other town because he is rude and extremely pompous, it seems like those attitudes are now spreading to this story. read more

I don't even want to give this place 1 star. It doesn't even deserve 1 star. The guy that was helping me out, his name was Steven. Bad customer service. And very rude. I had my I.D and on my I.D it said I am 17, I Turned 17 in 2017. And he says " i can't sell you the game if you were born before Jan 1, 2001" I explained to him that I turned 17 in 2017 and it said it on my I.D. He looked again and he kept denying it. Like can he not read??? Anyways. Ended up selling me the game. Keep in mind that the game is 17+. Never going to this place again. read more

I recently bought a game that did not work. The boy that was providing the service was rude and condescending and replaced the game I took back with another that does not work.
