Well truck arrives on time but then there is parking and setting it up so that takes 15min or less. We play for 1.5hr and then he told me we needed to start rapping things up. Excuse me I thought we had the truck for as long as we wanted it? Nope he booked another job but would give me an extra 15 min, but with set up that washed out to be 2hr, so no real gain. I expected and was told we had it as long as we wanted. We probably would have played for 4 hr. The game selection was ok mostly teen or older so if you are looking at doing this for a birthday party ask your kids what games they want to play. Also if they have a game it can only be played on 1 tv, just keep that in mind for kids parties. Next the guy that operated the truck did not know how to get all of us playing on the games, if it was not for a few of our tech guys who know xbox well we may have been out of luck. As the driver had little experience with getting you going on some of the games. Overall we had fun, but were extremely disappointed with the service and booking problems. With several other choices in San Diego we will be going with someone else in the future.

I've been to this store a handful of times in the past, and interacting with other employees has been pleasant and helpful, however the actual owner is a completely different story. Initial greetings? minimal and almost dismissive. Asking a simple question, for example, to look at some magic the gathering cards? Responds with borderline sarcastic remarks with a connotation of talking down to you as if you don't know what you're looking for, returning your question with other questions. Despite this business' description of "...and go the extra mile to ensure that every customer is satisfied.", that statement could not be further from the experience that the owner John K. O'Brien himself provides customers and potential customers. Specifically, when asked if a customer could look through the cards on display and for sale, he states customers aren't allowed to touch the cards, which on its own isn't a massive issue, but when asked if he could go through them for you, he rifles through them so quickly with no regard for wanting to browse the selection that nothing can be seen properly. Along with the horrendous customer service skills, the prices simply are not worth your time to even come to this store. Being around 25% higher on the *lower* end of this store's range than the current market and/or retail prices of products, you are far far better buying whatever you are looking for online and would still pay less with shipping and taxes included than here, let alone at a superior game store. The game coaches were excellent and their professionalism, service and cleanliness were top notch. Guests absolutely loved the snow cone machine (8 flavors) and were served by the game truck team. They provided about 8 chairs for exterior gaming. On a hot day, I suggest putting up canopies for the "extras" you may order from them, plus guests (parents) who might want to hang near the truck. GameTruck: The truck/trailer needs at least 3 car lengths of space in front of a residence. Game selection was excellent across all platforms and satisfied 6yo - 14yo players. Cool mood-setting RGB lighting in the interior. Clean and excellent condition physical space and hardware. Mixed feedback from guests about the A/C but my b-day boy said he was perfectly cool. Service Acquisition: Business was conducted 100% over the phone. Told owner that my discovery and background knowledge was via Yelp. As such, service area limitation premiums $$ and travel fees were not referenced nor communicated in the procurement conversation. The business educated me about them after invoice was provided. Please ask for the distances as they differed - at the time - from the website I was told about on payment day (event day).
