GameStop is a nightmare. This is not specific to this store…read more 1. I had a pro membership that i was having issues with. I called upwards of twenty times trying to fix it and combine points and each time was told that it was all set only to find out it certainly was not. In fact, it still isnt. I was even told once that I had to go to the store physically to fix it, didn't happen 2. I pre-ordered a game and paid in full, great. The store that I had pre-ordered the game from closed down and i was told that my preorder was transferred to a different store and was given the store location by an employee that was left over packing things up at the original location. The second location is now closed and Gamestop does not seem to have any idea where my preorder is now located. I was told to go to several stores, wasting time and gas since no one was ever able to help me at all. On the phone they simply say "nothing can be done". Now I am being told that I need to go into a store and have an employee contact the district manager and they will be able to find the preorder, so another long trip since the closest stores are now all closed. 3. I have been unable to redeem points for several months. After calling I was told that they are now expired a week ago. How can they say I cannot use those points after I had been trying for months and their crappy system doesn't work. Three strikes you're out.......I don't know if I can ever bring myself to give GameStop any of my business and I've spent thousands and thousands of dollars there in the past. USE ANY other place for your games and money. I recently went in, was buying gift cards for…read morepresents. Unfortunately they did not have them in the value I wanted (so I had to get 6 cards to equal the amount I wanted, instead of 3). Ok, no biggie. They scanned them, charged me, approved, as I was waiting for the receipt the worker was verifying all cards are active (ok, cool, thanks!). ONE of the 6 cards was not showing as active. So he said he had to scan other cards to replace it. After about a dozen attempts and no other card working he said he would have to refund me for the ONE card that wasn't active. (ok, frustrating, but at this point it is what it is). He was in process of refund, my card in the machine...their computer crashes. Go figure! ok, still not his fault so just trying to wait it out. Several minutes later computer back up, refund did not go through. He asks me to verify my bank account, so I go on my app, it shows the charge but not the refund. He said he had to call customer service (and they directed him to IT) to determine how to do the refund so it does not void the remaining 5 cards. Ok....waiting several more minutes. Gets off the phone. He takes ALL 6 of the cards at this point, bands them up and puts in drawer and said NONE are good. The store flagged them as "fraud" because I bought 6 cards. Not only that, it was AFTER they charged me, so they allow the charge to go through on 6 gift cards, but THEN determine they aren't on the up and up so they void it on THEIR end and keep MY money. He said they told him they don't know when or if they can refund the money and for me to contact my bank to do a stop payment!!!!!!! I called my bank while in the store and even the bank rep said that is UNHEARD OF. Also that it's not possible to do a "stop payment" on a card purchase that they already put through! She asked why the store couldn't just refund the entire amount while I was right there and I told her that is what they are telling me, they cannot do a refund and they cannot say when I would get the refund otherwise and directed me to go through my bank. My bank has to put it through as an investigation at this point, I have to give a statement, they have to contact the store and go through multiple steps to validate I did not receive the merchandise and yet they have my money and it can take up to 90 days!!!!! SHAME ON YOU GAMESTOP!!!!!!! You are (or WERE) too big of a corporation/company to be causing this type of issue. There is ZERO reason you couldn't refund that transaction AT THAT MOMENT. I walked out of that store with NO merchandise of theirs but they had ALOT of my money and zero regard to get it back to me!!!! I will NEVER buy from them again and I will make sure everyone I know hears of this!!!!!! I can get gift cards, games, controllers etc at MULTIPLE other places, this is not a special store!!!

I went to go get a "refurbished" ps4 at this location. I asked for a newer regular ps4 console…read more They said they had one that was just traded in last week. I thought this was amazing. I buy it for 158 dollars and I'm exited. I go home and I find out that this is not at all what I thought I purchased. First off it was a slim ps4 which I did not want, second it wasn't even refurbished. It was like someone sold it to them and they straight up boxed it. Idk how to post pics on here but there was dust all over and fingerprints on the top. This was not refurbished.

This was our first visit to Newington's Ollie's, and we scored a fantastic deal. I am the Committee Chair for a convention next month, and one of the participation activities for the conventioneers will be assembling kits to donate to a Boston charity for children in need. We are set on the school supply side, but we are still a little short on the socks and underwear side for 50 boys and girls. So, when I saw a "15% off" email from Ollie's, it seemed like a divine sign to make a pilgrimage to the new Ollie's in Newington. And guess what we found? How about 5-packs of boy's underwear marked down to $2.99? BEFORE our 15% discount. Thank you, Lord Ollie. Ollie's was stocked to the gills and very neatly shelved. We bought this eclectic mix of goods: a big bag of Dot's pretzels, five boxes of K Cup coffees, a bottle of shampoo, a jar of pickled zucchini, a jar of salsa, and 20 of the aforementioned underwear 5-packs for just a shocking $88. Ollie's is a fun store to browse around in, and today we made out like bandits.

They had a great selection, and I was impressed with the children's section. We also found a great selection of old school candies, and brands I haven't heard of since the 70s, lol!
