I went here to pick up an online order. I learned that the stores were incorrectly compared to what GameStop had on their website. An employee told me they have reached out to GameStop to correct it. But we all know how corporate works. I found out the reason why they started opening later was due to their AC being broken. When I went in on Thursday to pick up my order, someone was working on the AC unit. The employee told me it took forever to get an AC personal to come and fix it. That's understandable since we live in Miami and have a heat wave. I wish GameStop posted their hours. Great news! They should return to regular hours this Monday, July 31st since the AC unit should be fixed. read more

The store hours advertised were 11am-9pm, but when I arrived I realized they had a sign informing customers opening hours were 3pm... I waited 20mn for the staff to open the doors with the intention of purchasing a console. As they finally opened I was not greeted, acknowledged or even spoken to for a good 5mn when I was the only customer in the store. I asked if they had my item of interest in stock, for them to then make it seem to have checked (in a paper folder) and to be told they were out of stock... I later checked on their online website location to find they actually had it in stock. I called another location to ask to verify for me if other locations had my item of interest and the lady on the phone told me the location on 24st & 87ave was the only store with console... Very unprofessional and careless staff... I will not be returning. read more

I'm so sad to be leaving this review update, but it has to be done. The former manager of this store has left the company and the rest of the staff either quit or were sent to other stores. The customer service went with them. The people working here now don't compare. They are awkward and aren't credible. Before, I'd walk in and pick something up and one of the guys would comment on the game and we'd have a conversation about the style or art, but not anymore. Now it's just robots trying to get by. Waiting for a paycheck. Maybe they played a video game once. Maybe not. Hardly a smile and hardly a damn given. They're not rude, but without the extra effort it's just another chain. They're not informed about release dates and give out the wrong information and sometimes don't even pick up the phones. For shame. :( read more

GameStop sucks, You have them hold a new game to show up and find out that it's not even sealed. I'm tired of this crap if it's open it is not new. I literally have been running around Miami with a promise of them having a new copy to then find out after waiting 2 days and to finally show up and pick up the game that it's not even sealed. this is a gift to someone else You think I'm going to show up with a used game when the game was only 20 bucks new? This company needs to cease to exist. Every GameStop needs to close, at least Best buy won't sell me something that's open and say it's new. read more

There's about 5 Gamestops between this one & my house, but after searching through about a dozen (looking for old DS games/etc), this one had overall the best customer service overall. They were most helpful (without pushing products I'd not asked for), and a number of them have gone above & beyond to help me find or reserve things, making them my store of choice. My only regret is that due to the store's size, I'm not certain that they'll be able to hold a midnight release for the Nintendo WU, but I'm hopeful. read more

This is not really a review on the store but more on the company... I had looked for Xbox games online for a present and when I came to find that they had them used and for very cheap at Gamestop I decided to check at what store they had it in stock. Well it showed on the website that they had it at this store. So I got in my car and drove all the way there...Come to find out the stores no longer carry and old console games...Okay I understand that but then why did it show me they were in stock not only here and other games at other stores in the area...EPIC FAIL Gamestop website! Update it so you don't make potential customers drive long distances in vain! Especially with the holidays coming up. Oh and side note: The guys in this store weren't attentive at all they were too busy talking amongst each other and looking in to boxes to care about us...FAIL again! **Make sure to call the store and not rely on the website if you need anything from them! read more

I've been to a lot of GameStops but none have ever impressed me as much as this location. The staff here is so attentive and knowledgeable that I always leave with a smile even if I don't immediately find what I'm looking for. They are always going out of their way to help me with my purchases and recommend games based on my taste. For the record, I love JRPG's and hate first person games so I'm not the average GameStop shopper in Miami which usually makes it impossible for most people to make good recommendations. Despite this they really take their time to make sure I'm getting relevant information on new games coming out I might like and what collector's items if any are coming with new pre-orders. Rereading this now, I'm wondering when I became such a huge nerd (sorry, I believe the PC term for it now is "geek") but it's worth it to give a review I believe in. Mario is a great asset to this store. We stopped by after church to pick up a few games with a Giftcard we received for Christmas. This guy Mario was friendly, knowledgable, and super eager to help. A pretty big lined form, and when I was next to pay, a woman was ahead of me, complaining that she wasn't sure what game her son wanted, and then proceeded to call her son, and tell the guy at the register "he's going to call me right back". I stared at this lady for about three minutes while she just stood there making small talk. If looks could kill, right? Since Mario was genuinely helping another customer, and I am in a rush, I politely asked the woman if she was going to pay, and if not, may I go ahead. She stammered and clearly got offended. Mario ushered us to his register and checked us out while this woman called her son again! The nerve of some people, but I'm grateful that someone in this store took the initiative to make the experience a successful one. read more
