The crazy thing is, it was a very similar business I was leaving! I had to check it out. The set up of the business is really cool. It's got an upper and lower level, above and below the main floor. They didn't have much in the way of collectibles but what the did have was all video game related and I thought that was pretty cool. Video games in every direction! We are being stonewalled with "our CFO needs to approve..." and other excuses. I now have to file a suit Monday to get a court to force them to keep their commitment. Then I found their youth selection of books -Goosebumps to The Babysitter's club to horror genre for young adults. They're not just a shop that caters to Funko Pop Culture to get by so they can have their Indy games and Call of Cthulhu game sessions. The staff was so helpful in giving me a ton of information and helping me with my needs. I had so many recommendations and they knew what they were talking about. I love that this place is about cultivating from a young age a love of books. I highly recommend this store over the other "nerd" stores in the surrounding area. No one greeted us or asked if we needed help finding anything. But I will say that the desk associate that checked me out was very sweet. She actually smiled and was very warm. Now the other desk associate that checked out my sister was VERY rude! No smile at all and she was very short. She acted as if she HATED her job. People like that should NOT be working retail. Why would ANYONE ever want to go back when they are treated so unkindly?! Like I said in my previous review, these retail workers need to get over themselves. They aren't better than me or anyone else. Thank you to the nice young lady at the middle register today. She was pleasant. Her colleagues need to take lessons from her. I doubt my sister will ever want to go back because of how she was treated. Too bad because they have some great deals. It's funny to me that the ladies at the Kate Spade store were MUCH friendlier and upbeat. They actually seemed to enjoy their jobs and they greeted me as soon as I walked in the door. Imagine that!
