Grant it it's nothing special about the special edition, but the cashier sure act like it was. Well I got the thing home and it did not work. It would boot up, and fail during system set up. I took it back, they said it was working fine when they hooked it up to their TV. So I went home, did the same thing again. By this time I'm irate at spending over $650 cuz I bought additional things. So I go back to the store again demanding a refund, they tell me company policy says they can't refund open items. Well how else am I suppose to know it didn't work without opening it. Thank God it wasn't a Christmas gift cuz it would of been past the 30 days to even ask for a refund. I had to go home, research corporate office info, spend nearly two hours on the phone, go back a 3rd time just to get my money back. It's a shame really. I grew up on Electronic Boutique. Now they did have another Scorpio edition Xbox but obviously they had a bad batch. I wanted a regular one and they didn't have and wanted to put me on a waiting list. No I paid nearly $700 I want my money back so I can shop somewhere else. After that experience I'll never go back to gamestop. If you want my gamer points card you can have it.

    The GameStop used to have good retail workers, but after today, I'm buying games from Amazon. My…read morefriend and I were deciding who would buy what since she's on a budget right now. Scott listened to our conversation and decided homself that he would ring everything up together. Then instruct us to split the payment. We were confused because we had no idea what he was talking about and the total was too high and there were items on the card kiosk that werent supposed to be there. My friend and I told him we want separate transactions, but he instructing us on how we'd split the payment. We probably had to tell him four times we want to do separate transactions before he finally did what we wanted with some snarky comment, "I'm just trying to make it easier but fine." I know he wanted to do one transaction because i was renewing my pro account and if we did separate transactions, his conversion rates for pro accounts per transactions would go down, but we wanted separate transactions. We finally buy stuff and head out the door, and when i look over the receipts, i realize there's a code for bonus content he never pointed out. In fact, he didnt point out anything, just took payment and rushed us away from the counter. Then i get home and see i have an email that says Scott signed me up for auto renewal on my pro account! He never asked me if i wanted that, and i dont want that! Scott kept doing things without asking us or informing us so who knows if I got scammed on something else! I'm canceling my pro account. The only retail workers I run into at gamestop now are shady people like this, so I'm just gonna order physical copies online from other retailers who won't try to pull one over on me and then get an attitude when I tell them to stop that.

But I I gotta say I do love…read morethis location better because they cater to a larger population therefore you have a chance of getting an early release of popular games instead of going the day of release. Which doesn't happen often in midlothian. My last experience was AMAZING! It was about 3 weeks ago. They always have very nice and informative employees but being a girl gamer it helps when we see a fellow female!! Persephonie who is a newer employee is SOOOO sweet and she is so positive. Also a great sales women she 'encouraged' me to walk out with $150+ worth of merchandise and showed me items that I would have for sure missed out on if I was alone. Just today she called me to inform me that pop figures would be buy 2 get 1 free because she knew that I had pre-ordered a few. How amazing!! I've always had pleasant visits at this location but Persephonie goes above and beyond. Love her and this location!
