Tristan S was extremely unhelpful and rude. I walked over an hour to get there, and he did 2-3 minutes of work (scanning shirts) without helping me. He had to make two phone calls in order to help me with my transaction, not believing myself or the website, and literally just held his finger up to silence me. Accidentally made an online order to pick up Expedition 33 at this location (I live in Pennsylvania, not sure HOW Dallas was selected as a store close to me); when I received the confirmation email, I realized the error. No way to cancel through the website (too far along in process); when I called customer service, they said they were unable to cancel, I should wait the 3 days after which the store should return to stock, then call them to confirm it had been returned. I called today and, surprise!, was told by the associate that the order was completed (i.e. - picked up). I called customer service and, of course, they will 'investigate' it. On a different note, I did actually pick up a copy of the game at the Reading, PA location (25 minutes from my home) and the associate there was friendly and checked my ID, etc. before handing over the game. 5 stars to the Reading, PA location; none to the Dallas location who, apparently, stole a $50 game. read more

Their phone service does not work. It rings twice and then says "Nobody can talk right now, try again in a few minutes" and then it disconnects. I have called back every few minutes. Called to ask about the buy two get one free promotion for their Pokémon Packs for our child's birthday. We were told by an employee named Ryan that they had 80+ packs available and that my fiancé and I could take all of them. My fiancé asked if they were able to price match and was reassured, by Ryan, that they do. We drove 40 minutes to this location just to be told that he had called his manager and that the deal can't happen and that we were limited 20 packs per person and that they don't price match at their location. When we walked in, Ryan was standing behind the counter playing with a toy and ignoring the other group of customers in store. Now, you would think that within those 40 minutes he would have thought to call and update us. Especially, since my fiancé told him that we were going to load up our family and head that way. read more

Have been coming to this location for years. It's at the very end of lower Greenville and Ross. The parking is amazing but usually you can find a spot right in front of the store front. The staff inside is very friendly! Easy to talk to and are quick to want to help. read more

GameStop fills a need, but they don't fill it very well. This location is no exception. The staff was a little bit annoying in that I had to remind them a few times I was just browsing. Then when I was ready to check out, they couldn't be bothered to stop their conversation to help. It was a little ironic for sure. The selection at this location is not as good as some of the others, and it's a little more run-down, which is why I would skip here and make the trip to Greenville if necessary. read more

Came in to return something with a warranty; the "manager" RAMON first off, gave me a tone when I was asking the question. Then decided that it would be humorous to play mind games and get a chuckle out of it. I bought a headset and asked why I was getting a $39.99 A10 Switch headset when I purchased a $49.99 PS4 headset WITH A WARRANTY. I asked why he was being a "d*ck" about my question and when I asked that, and he refused to service me. I called him out on laughing in my face and having a tone and he took no empathy in that since I asked why he was being so foul. I come to this location often and he just lost a customer because his pride as a macho man manager instead of an understanding customer service rep was too important. I never have issues like this but RAMON seems as if he has issues he needs to sort out about the questions he's asked by customers. Granted, yes. I should not have said he was being a "d*ck" but when all I hear is hostility from the person supposedly servicing me so I can be on my way, it gets difficult to continue that conversation as respectfully as I started. Telling me I NEED to say "I don't appreciate the way you're talking to me" shouldn't even be words coming out of his mouth if he could've just been on a manager's level about his tone of voice & choice of actions/words. Nothing makes someone feel so inhumane/berated more than degrading and denying service to them. I have called the district and will be expecting more info as I have completely reiterated the encounter to their DM. According to RAMON, the customer is never right nor deserves respect. So if you decide to come to this store, be careful about what you may seek answers from because they might come out very condescending. Thank you, RAMON. It's GameStop! Basically, this is a great place for used video games (and new). The service doesn't have to be exceptional at a video store in my opinion. I think that if someone is going to a video game store, they're probably in search of something rather specific. Which I was. So I went in, got my game, got out. The level of service was par, the game worked, and the store seemed generally clean... so 4 stars it is! I'll probably go back if I need a cheap game, or if some "great new thing" comes out that I just feel the incessant need to stay up all night waiting in line for. Also, it's next to some pretty good little hole-in-the-wall taco shops and such. Give those a try if you're in the area! read more

As a GameStop customer for almost a decade, I've come to expect a certain level of service from the employees. Whether it be in Dallas or the middle of nowhere like Lubbock, there's always been a consistency in the level of service received from the people who work at GameStop. It's never really all that bad, but it's rarely exceptionally good--especially good enough to warrant a customer (in this case, me) to come onto Yelp! and leave a review. The manager at this particular has always gone above and beyond to help me the few times I've been in. I've only been here three, maybe four times, yet he's remembered me ever since my first visit. When shopping at GameStop (or anywhere else, for that matter) it's always my intention to get in and get out as quickly and efficiently as possible. Ramón, the manager, has made all of my transactions effortless and simple, all the while maintaining a positive attitude. He's been polite, helpful, and more than anything else, he's been honest. There are, in general, extremely mixed feelings about GameStop as a company and some of its business practices. I too may disagree with some and am in favor of others. But speaking specifically about this location and the staff I've interacted with here, I've never received such warm service for something as meaningless as video games. If you're planning buying or trading with GameStop and are close enough to choose between this and another location, I highly suggest going here. read more
