If there is one GameStop to let you support your local GME investments, this one is... Well, I suggest many others nearby, let's say that. The hours have been sketchy ever since they reopened, sometimes only open for a few hours, other times open all day. However, when they are open, the store lacks just about as much options as some smaller stores even have. Which is weird, considering the store has the room for it. The Nintendo Switch selection is also very barebones when we are talking variety. If it ain't Mario or Pokémon, better be a GotY nominee if this store ever cares much. Most of my questions were also met with offers to order it online, where it can then be shipped to the Mausoleum, which begs the question; "Why even order it in store?" Honestly, this particular GameStop is allergic to being a retail store of any kind, best keep your diamonds for another, apes! read more

Customer Service has to be the worst I've ever experienced. Visibly annoyed when you walk in and not a single other customer in there. Brought in an Xbox to trade and the young man working (brown hair lots of acne) walks to the back and says "it's always fucking trades" and proceeds to let the older man "Ken" working there help me out. Ken was helpful, the other kid seems to hate his time there. Should really look into the employees at this store. Quite sad. Last place I'll ever bring my kid for new video games / accessories. read more

When I walked into this GameStop, I was expecting a great experience. I wanted to go with my friends. The last time I went to the GameStop, one of the workers yelled at me and my father. I expected it to just be a little coincidence and when I was walking in, I was telling my friend about what happened recently just to warn them. He yell back saying, "I HEARD THAT" in a mean manner. He kicked us all even though friends have done anything to affect him in anyway. I don't quite remember this worker's name, although he has a middle part, greasy black hair, went down a little bit past his shoulders, I think he has a piercing on his lip and he was very white. read more

This Game Stop is akin to a Dantean level of hell. Not the level for gluttons, either, but BAD, like the level for frauds and pimps. Of course I was there on Christmas Eve, which makes me not smart. There were two people behind the register helping two sets of head cases for what had to be at least twenty minutes each, while the rest of us waited in line. A very LONG line. And we waited a LONG time. The reasonable thing to do, one would think, would be to ask the head cases to stand aside while their issues are being resolved so that others in line can be helped. But oh ho! No, that's too reasonable, and plus the staff-geniuses figured all nine hundred of us waiting in line didn't mind at all waiting forever. So they stayed on the phones helping blank-eyed head cases, or else continued wandering the store aimlessly searching out strange X-Box components for the other head cases that insisted they should be there. Dear God, if I can help it, I will never go back to the Game Stop here on Colfax. Still, having a kid and being somewhat in the area, you know I probably will. Only next time I'll have xanax, a lawn chair and a book. read more

This place is under new management because the customer service is ridiculously good now. I mean the sales associates up to the boss all showcase a rather high level of please and aim towards customer satisfaction. This store in particular has made me a repeat customer. There's another Gamestop on Kipling and I-70ish that's straight up poop! By far the worse customer service skills ever. This one on Colfax is great! I went to the store last week to return an Xbox one game that I had purchased earlier that day, I had the receipt and the game was still in the wrap so brand new. The rude employee Ebony said they don't return new games. I asked him where does it say that and he was too lazy to point that out. I said I've never had a problem returning NEW merchandise with a RECEIPT before and he said to talk to his manager tomorrow. I called the store in Arvada and the person I spoke to there said that he's an idiot and that other customers have been complaining about Ebony as well. Also that you can easily do that type of return, so I had to drive out of my way to get something done that could've easily been done at the Lakewood store. I won't be back and that guy doesn't deserve to be either if that's the customer service they provide. read more

Me and my boyfriend bought a game from here, a used copy of Grand Theft Auto Five for the PS4. I am completely aware of a USED disc maybe having a few scratches. But a disc that has a giant, deep scratch almost around the entire disc, and three big gashes at the top of the disc? The phone wasn't answered...and we aren't happy about not being able to play our new game. One of the TOP game stores shouldn't be selling NON working games...we probably won't be back after getting a new disc. read more

I recently purchased a copy of Need for speed for my nephew and all that was there when he opened the game was a burnt cd (gangster rap no less).. The trouble doesn't stop there. The treatment I recieved when I brought the game back for return was almost worse. Nothing like being treated like a criminal by a kid in a video game store, he acted like I stole it and was coming back for more, Not only will that not fix the problem they have lost one customer for good. read more

The guy working at the register here is a complete moron. I was trading in a game that I had just beaten and played for countless hours, and he said he couldn't take it as a trade because there was a tiny little scratch on the front of the disc where the title was. The back of the disc was absolutely fine, the side where the data is read, but he insisted it would mess up at some point which it never has once before. I argued with this idiot for a few minutes and then decided to go to another gamestop, I told the guy at the new gamestop about what happened and he agreed with me that the guy was a moron. Every time I have come to this gamestop here has always been some kind of crap this guy has pulled to not take my trades. Never go here. read more
