Soooo....COD MW6 dropped and I had the itch again, but could not find my controllers. I looked online and this particular GameStop had the controller I was looking for or so I thought. I did not want to make an empty journey so I tried to call........for 30 minutes and kept getting an automated voice informing me that the associates were busy assisting other customers and then the calls drop. I bite the bullet and decided to drive to this location, but I wanted to try something before I step in the store so I tried calling the number again as I am walking through the doorway and guess what??? No phone ringing and the two employees just chilling at the register. I ask them about the controller which stated they had one in inventory, not the controller I was looking for. They inform to try the GameStop in Atascocita so I asked could they call over there and check for me before I make another trip. You know what they said, "Umm, we do not know the number off-hand, but you can Google it." I am thinking to myself Yes, I could but what has happened that people in the customer service industry do not want to assist the customer. (Just my opinion!!!) Before I leave, I inform them that I tried to call the store and kept getting an automated voice which the calls drop immediate afterward. They were like, "Oh, the phones have been down 3 months and we informed corporate but they have not gotten them fixed yet. I know a movie may have saved GameStop, but there are still the gamers and anime fans out here who like to visit brick and mortar stores to trade games, wear funny hats and talk nerdy..do not forget the fan base GameStop!!! read more

Worse customer service by Cheyenne she felt as if she wasn't obligated to help or meet my needs. Gave me a price that was totally different from 3 other game stops. Was rude an walked to the back for almost 20 min. Wouldn't recommend coming here. read more

This review is in response to how they handled my pre-order for SWTOR when it first came out. I had pre-ordered the game at this store and paid for it fully, with no problems prior. I had pre-ordered plenty other games including MMOs such at WoW expansions. However, SWTOR was giving early access to anyone who pre-ordered, and addressed that ALL GameStops were to have your early access code when you made your pre-order. When I called to question them about my code, the employee was rude when I told him that the site itself says they should have it. He laughed and then hung up on me. I had a friend who worked there cancel my order, and I bought it off the game site instead and was playing that day. I haven't shopped here since. There are a few nice employees and the manager and the employee who hung up on me, have thus been fired/quit. However, I will just be ordering offline from now on. read more

Never had a problem with this gamestop except for buying a ds with a faulty hinge and they exchanged it with no issues.

My son went to this store to see if they were interested in buying his older X-Box console. They told him they would be interested in buying only the power supply because the console didn't have an HDMI cable. When he got home and told me he sold the power cord I told him that you realize the console has no value without the cord. He hadn't thought of that. I told him to go back to the store, give them the $4 dollars they paid him for it and ask for the cord back. I told him to call me if they didn't. He called me and I spoke with the manager. He said that he couldn't return it because it was a trade and when I told him that I suspected him of nefarious intent in his interaction with my son he hung up the phone. I called my son and told him to stay there because I was coming to the store to discuss this face to face. The manager and his employee were smug little $@%&. I asked him to explain how this was a trade since he purchased the cord. He couldn't answer the question and kept stating it was a trade and in their system. I asked him if it was worth losing a customer of over 10 years over $4 and he didn't respond with the exception of saying he couldn't do anything. I asked him how much I could purchase the cord back for and he stated $34. Remind you this all happened in approximately 30 minutes. I could tell by my questioning that they encouraged my son to sell the cord. Yes my son made a mistake and didn't critically think about his decision. But you would think that this store would have done the right thing. I've written to the corporation about the experience and if they make it right I will remove this review. I busted the manager in several mischaracterizations, outright lies. I asked him if the rules of selling as he explained them to me was on the receipt and he said yes. They don't disclose anything of such on the receipt, other than if you purchase something from them you can return or exchange it if it is unopened within 30 days! I would encourage caution in any dealings with this store because they are corporate thief's and will do what is necessary to cheat you! Side note, not sure why Yelp is showing me as living in CA. Giving a review based on the store pick-up service I used for the first time. I needed a DS game, went online and found it in the most convenient store location. Another game came up that I needed, but the store pickup online wouldn't allow me to reserve it even though the website said it was in stock. I called the location and got a very helpful employee who found the game - their last copy! - and added it to my store pick up order. I came in the next day and paid for both without any issue. This is for the exception of the few employees who have been nice to me but sadly in most cases I always have bad experiances coming here and the trade in prices they give you are down right laughable. When it comes to big chains like gamestop you are pretty much screwed because they are the only thing out there. My advice to anyone is if you have any other alternative do that rather than come here. For the past 10 years shopping for games has always been something I do not look forward to sadly. read more
