I was there this week with my toddler and I was asking the staff for questions regarding the Play Station 5. They just didn't care about my concerns. I recently visited a GameStop location and had one of the most frustrating customer service experiences I've ever dealt with. I came in to purchase a game--completely legal for my age, as I'm 18--but the employee working there decided to play the role of my parent instead of doing their actual job. Despite clearly showing my ID and meeting the age requirement, the employee questioned my decision and acted like they knew what was best for me. It felt more like a lecture than a transaction. I was treated like a child instead of a paying adult customer, which was both disrespectful and unprofessional. I go to GameStop to buy games, not to be judged or second-guessed by staff who are supposed to assist, not parent, their customers. This experience left a really bad taste in my mouth, and I'm seriously reconsidering whether I'll shop at GameStop again in the future. read more

My mom and I were walking around the Galleria after lunch at the Cheesecake Factory and noticed they had a GameStop. As a pro member at GameStop I definitely had to stop and see what this GameStop has to offer compared to the ones in my hometown! This one is way bigger than our locations and it definitely had different stuff! The employees were nice and helpful with all my questions! Worst GameStop. Employee named Barker is incredibly rude and condescending. Purchased games for granddaughter online. One defective and one not in box. Instead of exchanging the games after I dealt with customer service several times and another store that did not have the games in stock which incidentally sent me to this location. He decided to call customer service and have me deal with this some more. He definitely escalated my anger with GameStop instead of fixing this problem. Now I want to take the PS5 that I bought from GameStop for my Granddaughter as a Christmas present back and buy it from somewhere else. Ever have that feeling that it is going to cost you?? Well it did this morning. My sons decided that they prefer the PS4 instead of the Xbox. So what ended happening was 700.00 later I had a new PS4 Pro, Call of Duty 4, Spiderman and two other games. Two camo controllers. Three head sets. All of them wireless of course. On the good side though, the customer service was perfect. James was very attentive. He helped my sons pick the games and made sure that they were rated correctly for them. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU NEED CRICKET SERVICE!! NONE of the employees are trained or remember their training. Despite stating that they are an authorized Cricket retailer, NONE of the employees at this store knew anything about how to successfully transfer our cell phone service to Cricket. We stood in the store for an HOUR while one of the GameStop employees spoke on the phone with the Cricket rep. The manager was there and did not say anything or try to assist. At least they could have been honest about the fact that they could not help us. The GameStop employee barely gave us any updates while on the phone as we patiently waited. This was a terrible experience for us. We left after an hour with no phone service and no apology whatsoever. read more

I went with my boyfriend, we bought a really cheap soul calibur,and it was missing by the time we got to his place, we never moved the bag and we were also missing our receipt, the manager for this store knew us to be frequent customers, and gave us a newer soul calibur three times the price for the inconveineince. he really helped out and it was awesome, and we got to go home and play. read more

bought a game today at 3pm, my son is 8 forgot to grab it, yes definitely our fault. the"manager" didn't feel necessary to say oh ma'am here's ur bag or anything. we realized at 5 after ice skating. so I go back. he says the only way to see without receipt (since it's in bag)is to check phone number for the sale (which DOES NOT show up for 24 to 48 hours.) I explained we used 2 gift cards and 14 on my card(which I showed him from my phone's banking app) he said he did everything he could and would not help us. he did not attempt to search for the sale in any other way, knowing that the points won't show up for 24 hours. there is a camera pointing directly to the register that would have showed everything but of course customers 70 dollars isn't important enough to check the cameras for(but if someone stole a 10 dollar item they sure will) I feel horrible for my son because he waited 2 weeks to come to this location for his game. read more
