Buy your brand-new $70 game for the price of a vending machine snack, then proudly resell it for nearly full price like they did you a favor. Nothing quite hits like being offered $4.37 in store credit for something you paid real money for and then watching it reappear on the shelf for $54.99. The stores themselves are cramped, awkward, and smell faintly of Funko Pops and broken dreams. Shelves are packed with plastic figurines no one asked for, while actual games feel like an afterthought. It's less "gaming store" and more "merch landfill with delusions of relevance." Customer interactions are a gamble. You might get a chill employee who gets it--or you'll get a corporate-script-reading NPC trying to upsell you a warranty on a disc that will outlive civilization. "Would you like to pre-order?" No. "Are you a PowerUp Rewards member?" Also no. "Are you sure?" Yes. Please stop. The ONLY male individual working at 7:30pm CST who stated has been here since 4pm CST will LIE TO YOUR FACE. There is ZERO level of customer service, concern or accountability. The entire store smells so insanely of weed it's as if he or others on the staff HOTBOXED so maybe he was just too stoned to recall himself answering the phone at 5pm?? Additionally he was too busy talking on the phone to pay attention to any one inside of the store to the point a large line built up. GO TO LITERALLY ANY OTHER LOCATION. read more

I had just left a nearby GameStop that informed me the system was down. I was trying to attempt a trade-in on a cellular device. They informed me that I could go to another location at this time. When I arrive to this location I was informed they don't do trade-ins prior to closing, the process is only 10 minutes and why did the neighboring GameStop didn't inform me of this instead of sending me to this location? I feel like the man behind the counter with the glasses was lying and did not want to service me for whatever reason. And also insisted he couldn't at least tell me the value of my phone but I went on the website and it's only a 10 second process I would not recommend this GameStop. read more

I've come to this location a couple of times, but my visit today was the best I've had at any Game Stop location and most stores. I bought two headsets to try out before choosing my favorite. I came to return a turtle beach headset, but misplaced my receipt. As a back up plan I brought my favorite cloud core headset that I wanted to keep just in case I couldn't return the other pair. Kathryn was at the register and searched for the digital receipt of the headset that I wanted to return, narrowing it down by date and time and found it, so in the end I was able to keep the awesome headset that I love! Extremely wonderful customer service. I used to buy games and consoles from Amazon, but from now on I will be doing all my pre-ordering from this GameStop location, which is luckily right across the street from my local bubble tea stop. Every single person ive worked with here has always been nice and fun to talk to. I'm a pretty big gamer at heart, but im never quite sure what game I want next so I'll sometimes go in and get some recommendations. I thoroughly enjoy walking in here and just talking to the staff. They enjoy what they do and they seem to know about the games. It hasn't been super busy either, so usually you can find someone to help you out from the moment you walk in. Good stuff read more

I came here on a Saturday afternoon with my husband, who had already called ahead to reserve an Xbox One and inquire about trading in his old Xbox, accessories, and games. There was only one girl working. Luckily no one was in the store either. She had to test out both of the old Xbox consoles, plus all of the accessories and I assume the games as well, before making the offers for the trade ins. The Xbox One he reserved was also the last one they had in stock that wasn't bundled with games. We had a great experience, but felt bad for the people who arrived after us, Since she was the only employee they had to wait until she was done testing all of our stuff before really being able to help or check anyone else out. I had a great experience here...but if I had arrived about five minutes later I would be griping about my wait time and the fact that on a Saturday afternoon there was only one employee. read more

When he asked the two men behind the counter if they had it they laughed in his face poking fun at him for asking, telling him it came out in December and how stupid people are to think it still exists. My son and I were just in this store. I am in the market for a PS3 and also purchase a fair amount of Wii games. The store has a PS3 demo and we decided to play a little Madden. After playing 1 half (two 2 minute quarters). We were told by Justin, a clerk, that our time was up. I looked up, not sure I heard him correctly. He said again "Time's Up". Let me paint a picture of what the store was like. There were 5 employees. In addition to my son and I there were three other customers in the store. None of whom were playing any of the demo machines. I was stunned. We left. Upon returning home I called the store and found out the guy's name is Justin while talking to him. He said they had a 15 minute time limit. Since we had only played two 2 minute quarters I am absolutely certain we were nowhere near 15 minutes. And even if we had been there was no one else remotely interested in playing the machine. I let Justin know that the sale of a $300 PS3 will now go to Amazon. I will never step foot in that store again. read more

Save yourself your time and money and I suggest you go elsewhere! this store has terrible customer service, waiting in line to make our purchase of 3 games, and instead we were flat out ignored by the cashier. My husband told the cashier 3 times that we were ready to make our purchase and he would just look at us super annoyed. Never been one to complain but just the thought of this whole ordeal, truly makes me upset. We were ready to leave the games and go elsewhere but my son was too excited about his new games so we were patient and stayed. After being told they didn't have one of the games we were trying to purchase we asked for another similar one. Not once did the cashier try to explain/help us about what they had available he just walked away. Once he returned he just showed my husband a disc in a folder and my husband told him he was no longer interested. This cashier had the audacity to throw the cd behind him like annoyed and totally rude. We just purchased the two other games, and left immediately. Game stop lost faithful customers! I love games and usually most game stores. You'd think GameStop would be super great then right? Wrong. The employees are rude. It's truly unfortunate but out of the 15 times I've been there in the last 2 months; 14 out of 15 times it's sucked...just because of employee attitude. One ecnored a question I asked while looking at me at the counter, then responded when I asked the total. On a second occasion a male employee told me he'd take my trade for $5 or so credit, then when I chose my new game said he 'didn't have time' to give $5 for my game. WTF?! Do these people hate their lives!? Does GameStop treat them with a similar attitude? This location makes me feel like they breed terrible employees.
