Felix, Kyle and Johnny are pretty much the dream team of Gamestop. Never have a problem with anything customer related. The few times where I have had problems with equipment they have been able to help me out and send me out the store with a smile on my face. On top of that they are very honest with their critique on games, they don't blatantly bash the games in question if they are bad but they put out the pros and cons knowing that every gamer is different. When your (mine) 9year kid says mom they are really nice I instantly rolled my eyes because I figured his mind was clouded with all the goodies around him but when I actually got to the register I realized he was totally right. This place was very empty, considering the fact that there was a giant "Clearance, Big Savings" sign at the very top. I came inside because of this sign, but there was nothing that particularly stood out to me for this sale that screamed out "clearance." I didn't mind the emptiness, because it meant that there were no lines and plenty of room to walk around. The guy in the front said "hello" and was very sweet. I live right down the street from this location, and I promise I will never shop at this store again! Yesterday's simple run turned into the hugest inconvenience! Mind you, as I pull up there are signs on the door saying that they aren't accepting credit/debit payments and are unable to do downloaded content - fine with me, I have cash and just purchasing a game for my kid. After picking our selection, we stand in line to only be ignored for about 5 mins (no other customers were at the registers but 3 works were behind the counter and made eye contact with me more than once). Finally 'Chase' decides to assist us and is the rudest little jerk EVER! I provide him with my phone number for my points for the purchase and they're system doesn't load and I'm pretty much told I'm SOL! I won't get any GameStop points for a $70 purchase because your system is working?!? OKAY! I give him my cash (a 50$ bill & a 20) and he tolds it up as if its fraud and scribbles on it with the counterfeit pen as if something different was going to show up after the first mark on it! So idk if they lil clown is intimidated by women or by black women but I will be speaking with the corporate office first thing Monday morning! Moving forward, I will take my business to Best Buy where I know the service will be great and I won't be treated like I'm inconveniencing the workers! I've never had an issue here, with anything new or used. The guys who worked here for a long time over the last couple years don't work there anymore, and I really miss them. They were goofy, funny, and helpful. While I love video games, I can't imagine being cooped up in a workplace that small with the same people ALL the time, especially on slow days. So props to them for managing to stay their lively selves. I always find good deals here, or maybe it's caused I used to get really good hookups because I also work in the same shopping center. They also are very organized as far as I'm concerned. I've been here for a couple midnight releases of games and they have their act together with getting everyone their copies of (whatever game) and letting all the people with "reserved" games get theirs first. I know other GameStops have a problem with selling more "reserved" copies than they actually have but as far as I know, no one has ever had a problem at this GameStop, so I respect that. The guy that helped me out was arguing with me about preorder bonuses for black ops 3 and I told him that I half already preordered the digital deluxe edition through psn and he was trying to argue that I didn't get any bonuses such as the giant or any personalization packs where I tried to inform him that I in fact did as part of the deal and he wouldn't listen and just stopped talking to me. Walked into this location to sell my PS4 500g to then buy the 1T as soon as I walked in to get in line the manager made a very condescending and rude comment. Then when I got to the register to sell back my PS4 the employee had to check with the manager he plugged it in it worked and then he asked for the HDMI cord I explained to the manager that mine did not come with one when I purchased it from Best Buy and he was telling me I had to purchase a HDMI cord and or turn in the $100 Chocolate cable that I bought at Best Buy. They had everything I was looking for that I couldn't get at any of the bigger stores. & I even got a really nice Batman costume hoodie for my son for 12 bucks on clearance. I used to take ALL of my business here. Mostly every time the staff is super chill and they won't try to really hard sell you, which is cool. Yet, one day I go in there and I just want to buy a game and I hand the guy the money. And man does this guy hassle me, I don't know if he was the manager or something, but he REALLY wanted me to get the stupid promotion, but I was stern on saying no. He said stuff like "Oh so you're super rich or something?" and he looked at my store records and was an overall dick. I've had really good experiences here! Always came for Nintendo products so recently the switch. Sorry forgot to grab names but the blonde gentleman with glasses has always been very helpful. He answered my 20 questions on new switch games and accessories when I first came in. I came in a few weeks ago asking about the neon pink and green switch controllers and he said they were limited edition from Japan but they were currently out and should be getting 7 more in. He then says to wait a second because they were in the middle of unloading a shipment when I asked about it. There were a few people in line but he quickly checked on it after helping a customer and viola they received more! I ended up buying the controllers right then, very nice saving me from driving down there again and didn't make me wait long at all. He was very courteous and helpful! I also put $5 down to secure the Donkey Kong game when it comes out in May. Super Smash bros better come out next. read more

Bought a used x box from them it lasted 7 times playing it, took it too them they told me I should of bought new one, then tried to sell me a used PS3 controller for 40 dollars went next store to target got one for 19.99 new. i hate this gamestop. i went all the way here for a psp 1000 so i could hack and put games. anywho i went early around 10ish and it wasnt open yet. had to wait finally went in to go buy my psp. i had a big bill on me and these assholes said oh we dont have change for your cash right now and to come back around 2 pm i was already pissed and i hung out in the area. when i came back i bought my psp finally. and these ppl forgot to give me my change so i had to go back and get it. worst gamestop experience i ever got which wasted my time so much im never going back here again. if i have to like something about this location, i say it would be that they hold a lot of old games from ps1 and other consoles. other than that fuck this place foreals. end of story read more

So the first time I walked in to do a funko pop preorder the girl in the front was really nice and I picked up half my order with no issues. But then I kept seeing adds for the pops I ordered and I never received a call to pick them up. I called and spoke to Brian at first I asked if they had them he said yes, then I said well I preordered them and never received a call. He then tried to lie and say he tried to call me, I know it's a lie since I never gave him my name. Then he tried to say he didn't know if they called because he didn't have the list in front of him. He was rude and should have apologized after being caught in the lie and just said I'm sorry we didn't call but we will have them here for u, but no. When I came in and spoke to a cashier and told them what happened even they said it was a lie and that he is a manager. Having been a manager u don't lie to someone spending money is your store. Horrible Customer Service, I will defineately change locations of where I shop. My son had a game reserved for months, we know it was due to come out the end of October so I called on October 28th and was told by a girl(did not catch her name) the shipment was delayed check back at the end of the week. I had also asked her since this was reserved would they be calling all the customers that had reserved copies once they arrived and was told yes. Never heard from them my son asked to check if they had it, I made him call and Carl answers the phone and luckily it was on speaker and I could hear the conversation. Carl tells my son yeah we had it in but we SOLD Out! How do you sell games that are reserved and he tells my son, the hes not sure when they will get more in. I instantly grabthe phone and said unacceptable, what are you going to do to fix this, ummm this is my first shift this week, I am not sure?. WTH you work in customer service I don't care that this is your first shift of the month how are you going to fix this? He tells he has no idea when they will get more in or what comes in the shipments they receive. Come on dude think outside the box, I had to ask him to contact another store me, could he not have come up with this solution on his own? And of course there was no manager for me to discuss this with. I did end up picking up the game at another store and I think I will take my business elsewhere in the future. read more

This GameStop isn't bad really. It's the manager that makes me dread coming to this place though. All the other employees are pretty cool people but that manager is a deal breaker for me. I work in retail as well so I know how customer service goes and this guy seems like he doesn't. I was in there picking up a new game and a young teenager came in asking to return a game he had previously purchased the day before. I don't feel that I can put words together to explain this so I'll just post the conversation between them. M = Manager. C = Customer. M: Oh hey you're back, did you need any help with anything? C: Yeah, I was wondering if I could return this game. It wasn't working when I put it in my console so I was wondering if I can get my money back. M: Well, I can give you another copy of the game if it didn't work or did you just want your money back? C: I'm kind of over the game now...is it cool if I get my money? M: How can you be over the game? I thought it didn't work. You can't really be over a game unless you've played it. Did you even play it? C: Yes. I played it at a friends house and that's why I came to buy it, but now I don't feel like it's worth the hassle so I would just like my money back. M: Well, I'll give you your money back after I finish helping him (me) There's a bit that I left out but I was literally in the middle of their little back and fourth for about 5 minutes. What really bugs me is that the manager was badgering the heck out of this kid who just wanted his $10 back. I deal with returns about 30% of the time at my job and if I feel a little hesitant towards giving someone their money back I call my manager and they always go through with it. I've also had my fair share of run ins with this manager as well. I pre ordered 2 copies of a game on a rewards card that was under my brothers name. We went into the store to pick them up and they didn't want to give me 1 of the copies because my name wasn't on the card.(how did they know that my brother didn't just pay for both of them?) We argued for a bit and it finally got resolved when my brother said "I've preordered games before and came with someone else to pick them up and you (points to the manager) were the person who gave them to me." The manager then looked around quickly and leaned towards the other employee and said "go ahead and do it. just this once." I came in yesterday to pre order Fallout 4's Collector's Edition. I was told by what I'm assuming is the manager, Alex, that they didn't have any information on a collector's edition for Fallout 4, and that he could only do pre orders on the regular edition. He told me I could put down $25 on the regular and switch it over when it was available. I put down $25 on the regular edition of Fallout 4 yesterday at opening because the guy (Alex) said that was the best way of doing it... He said if I put down $25 that it could be switched over as soon as it was available, which would probably be the next day since it takes a day or so for it to show up on their systems (verbatim). Went back this morning to check if I could switch it (same guy and everything) and he said that he called everyone on his "list" yesterday to switch it over. That they didn't have any more available and that essentially I was out of luck. Never got a call from him.. So I took my money back and went to Best Buy where I was able to get my pre order in. I'm not coming back here any time soon until they figure out a system that is actually fair towards their customers, and Alex really needs to get a couple lessons on running a store (he was the only one there both days). read more
