We went to a video game truck birthday party, and it was cool. The screens were large, sound quality was good. There was a/c. There were a lot of games the kids enjoyed like Kirby Star Allies, Super Smash Bros, and Minecraft as well as some old school games like Super Mario Bros. Big cost for bad service! We booked this company over text, and unfortunately the process felt very disorganized from the start. Our original date was given away, and we had to move my son's party to a different day. The booking experience alone wasn't great, but the bigger issue came on the day of the event. We were asked to block space for the truck two hours before the party, so we were fully prepared and waiting. The truck didn't arrive until the exact start time of the party. I even called about 15 minutes before to check on their arrival and was simply told they were "on their way." When the truck finally showed up, the driver was friendly and explained he had another party before ours and needed extra time to clean the truck--something we weren't informed about ahead of time. When you're hosting a birthday party, the last thing you want to worry about is whether your entertainment will actually arrive on time. The experience added unnecessary stress to the day. Unfortunately, I don't plan on booking with them again. If you are a consumer, please read their response to my factual statements above, and you can see how disorganized, unprofessional, and combative this company is. I'm not one to punish the driver for management over scheduling them and the problem here is management. So let's start at the beginning - first the truck pulls up and has a broken hdmi - so my wife had to leave party and get one in order for tv to work... 2nd - We had planned a whole Fortnite birthday for our son, we paid additional $100 for Fortnite package on the truck - it came needing a update to the game Common sense would suggest checking the morning of for any updates, the party itself wasn't till 3pm....so Fortnite was no go on this (fyi the update for game was available since the Thursday as we have same game at home) Thirdly - They provided a list of games available - Grand theft auto being one of them - not suitable to put on at a children's 10th birthday party when it shows guns, drugs, prositutes and more....again common sense would suggest not putting that on for minors, maybe ask parents before putting it on Totally ruined sons birthday in end all kids ended up going inside and playing on home console In total we paid $530 and was refunded $100 when was told we was getting full amount - In response to her reply - Clearly trying save her own ass Let's be clear your driver gave her no option other than get hdmi as he said the truck was over heating and couldn't move till cooled down - this was 15 minutes before party was due to start - I've attached another pic from security camera for your reference Yes you are correct my wife made the booking from our joint account - so sorry yeah i will have a say when I'm paying for a below par service It's sad you are so smug in ruining a 10 year old birthday "saying the truck looks fab" i would agree it's a nice truck if it worked But hey I'm the liar, what I'll do is get all the other parents who attended to drop a review and give an account of what took place Saturday P.s As for the update on Fortnite, I've attached the update schedule for game - September 4th was one prior to party which took place on 7th September.....maybe check your equipment before sending a truck out read more

The registration process isn't seamless. All through texts. The games list isn't clear and even when you request the online games, they're dependent on their own cell phone hot spot so if you live in the hills or in a spotty location... your kids will be let down on the spot...on the day of. The driver was also the attendant and he was glued to his phone..had to point out to him a couple times that the kids needed help...don't recommend at all. Concept could work if everything was more seamless and accurate. Also would be nice to be able to take food or drinks in there to really get the whole gaming experience. The trailer looked super cool!! When they opened it up, it was even cooler inside. And clean! They were fully self-sufficient with generators. They asked which games I should avoid, which I loved. We had reached out to Ultimate Players on a Thursday afternoon and got a response right away from Teo! This was after we had contacted another game truck weeks prior to the event and never got a response or answered call. Anyway, they were able to service our event, a double teen birthday, and it was amazing! Teo got there on time! 7:30 ish and he was able to set up and even started a few minutes before our event start time (8pm). We were glad all the kids were playing than just mess around or hang out in the living room inside. We even requested an extra hour (which you also must pay for but we had no issue doing). The worst booking experience I've ever had with a vendor. They switched the price on me multiple times. Told me they were booked and then had cancelations multiple times. Tried to tack on an extra "travel fee" after being told the location and date in advance when they first quoted the price. There's a ton of companies that have gaming trucks in The Valley. We are a special events company, have been in business for more than 25 years and use many different types of vendors at our events. After reading so many excellent reviews about Ultimate Players online, I decided to give them a call for one of our corporate clients. Upon my first call to Teo, I was confident that everything was in order and that all of our client requests would be handled courteously and efficiently. Based on that call, I booked his gaming truck. This was a BIG mistake. I should have seen a red flag at the very beginning. When I asked him for his W9 for payment, he said that there would be an additional $50 charge to forward this information. In other words, he was charging me a surcharge just to forward this form in order to get him paid. That was definitely a first in my long events career and, in fact, I believe this is illegal. Regarding the actual event, the truck attendant on site was exceptionally rude to the kids at the event. Instead of telling them to be careful with the games, he literally said the following to a few of them: "Hands off. Don't touch this. Go sit down and I will tell you what to do." There was certainly a kinder and more gentle way to talk to these kids who were just trying to have fun with the games and definitely not purposefully trying to damage the equipment. This confrontation became so out of hand that our client approached my event manager (who has worked for me for 6 years) and asked her to step in and try to resolve the situation. Fortunately, she successfully "put out the fire" and calmed the attendant down. After the event, I tried to personally contact Tio. Even after leaving several messages with his office assistant, Yara, he refused to call back. Upon the third attempt, he finally called back. His reaction was less than cordial and, in fact, he said that his assistant had never mentioned anything about the incident and said that everything went very smoothly. Bottom line - Tio seemed very uninterested in our comments. I would definitely caution future planners or direct clients against hiring this Company. There are definitely other options. To neither assume responsibility or offer an apology is not a way to do business and, more importantly, stay in business. read more

We held my son's party at a local park and parking was limited due to a nearby sporting tournament event down the street.
