Although this is the first time I had this customer service, this is the first time I've seen this person. Was not greeted upon entering, was never acknowledged, never asked if I needed help which I did. Waited in line for a ridiculous amount of time for the only person in front of me to finish their purchase, but the cashier and the customer in front of me talked and talked and talked about several topics never acknowledging myself, never apologized for the wait, when it was finally my turn, they never apologized or acknowledge that I had waited nearly a half hour. Almost putting my things down, but didn't want the way to be for nothing. Already frustrated, they were very rude and despite the bad customer service, my son and I thanked him and he didn't say you're welcome, never said have a nice day, nothing. Just completely disrespectful and rude. For no reason. I never complained, but this ruined my day. Had to leave a review. Won't be coming back. whoever was working the register at the 785 W. I came in to trade in a couple of consoles: PS4 Pro, Switch OLED, Xbox Series S and controllers but the associates were trying to scam me. With the PS4 Pro, they told me the controller technically passed their computer testing and they even had the nerve to show me that my controller passed all green but I was told that in their opinion the controller had "stick drift" therefore the whole unit PS4 Pro is considered defective and not full trade in value. Then they reviewed my Switch OLED, he started to "clean" the screen using paper towels and not microfiber because he claimed the screen was damaged. Had to call him out on it, and told him it was a screen protector and he was the one intentionally damaging my screen by not using microfiber. His coworker then proceeded to accuse me of giving his associate "attitude". Had to just trade in my Xbox and walk out due to the dirt poor customer service. I went to a GameStop in Fresno and had a significantly better experience. Zero stars if I could. read more

I have come to this location 3 times for help with an Xbox I recently purchased online. Each time I have come in the staff is very kind and happy to help. They go out of their way to make sure I had all the help I needed. I highly recommend this location. In comparison, I went to the Shaw and Brawley location and it seemed like it was a hassle for the staff to answer a question when I was the only customer there. The dude and I came here on 12/30/20 as I got him a Nintendo Switch for his 31st Birthday not at Game Stop. We came here as he was not a fan of the game that I got him and honestly I wasn't a fan of the game either so I was in support of going to Game Stop to trade it in. Which we got $10 in store credit for it which was not bad at all! The game stop was having a sale for all pre owned Switch games buy 3 get one free something like that but all the games that the dude wanted was sold out, which was a bummer. We were not able to get the deal but the dude found some games he thought were good. The male staff member who helped us was very kind and friendly and helped us out tremendously. I was so surprised that Game Stop now requires you to scan you thumb when you trade games in now which was crazy but makes sense I guess it's kinda like a pawn shop. Overall, since the dude renewed his membership we got two free Redbulls which was nice as I guess Redbull and Microsoft are their sponsors. I am still a fan of game stop! It's lame that they don't sell computer games anymore! Always organized and clean. read more

We were next door to the yogurt store and I thought my nephew would like a game for his Xbox so we stopped by. He took his time looking and as with the case with most kids looked at everything and anything. He didn't know I was going to buy anything so when the time came he was not only happy but had the time to decide what he wanted. A few years ago I gave him my Xbox and about 30+ games which in retrospect may have led him in this direction. The help was very knowledgeable and eager to answer any questions we had plus explained the perks of have an account and the extras included in a membership. Good job! read more

We are getting punished and forced to use a PS3 instead of the new luxurious PS4. Sad face. He was super nice and helpful. It was ladies night! And i had my heart set out to play assassins creed (my first time and i was wanting to learn) i opened everything up to try and play. NOPE ps3 is out of service. DARN!! This is by far the best game store in Fresno/Clovis. And the best game stop store we have ever been in. They are always helpful, friendly, and offer great recommendations without being pushy. Today was potentially a pretty stressful day as it was a second release for the Nintendo switch. Constant calls for the switch, people coming in... the employee was stuck working in her own and she handled it all With a positive attitude. :). She was awesome! read more

There's not really a whole bunch to say about this GameStop, they literally have just about everything you're looking for in terms of video games. They have the newest games for all 3 major consoles out right now including quite a few PC games as well. Their selection of game accessories is pretty big too. Lots of official accessories along with a bunch of 3rd party stuff like controllers and Wii attachments. This location of GameStop hosts a launch party for just about every major game release that's out and their customer service is excellent too. The second you walk into the place you are greeted by one of the sales reps. They can help you with any questions you might have and they know just about anything video game related or any release coming up. To sum it up, I have never had one problem with this place. And I was about 150th in line for the Halo: Reach launch party and I got my game literally about 10 mins after they opened at 12. read more

Came out for the 9 p.m. release and found out I was sold a digital copy and can't exchange it because "there's a button that says we don't refund digital games" even though I asked for a physical copy. I AM SO UPSET!!!! I've been in line since 5am this morning at the GameStop in Fresno, CA on Willow and Herndon AFTER THEY told me they were getting three in and if I wanted to camp out.  I had been going every time they told me to go.  After freezing outside and being the first one in line the worker comes to open at 8:30am and tells me they didn't get any in which was complete lie!  Another man in line behind me was told to come as well and he seen UPS deliever them on Wednesday!  He even confirmed with the worker they were them and she said, yes, but they couldn't sell them and to come back Friday they would have three!  Missed work for this.  The worker was not even willing to help us out in anyway after I did what they told me.  They've told me to go every Monday and Thursday, they told me to go every day, they fianlly told me exactly when they would get them and to camp out and I did!!  I've done everything but stand on my head for them.  This woman was an absolute liar telling me she never got any in!  She straight out lied!  We always go to that store and give them SO much business.  Right after we went to another GameStop and he admitted  getting them in on Wednesday, but they were holding them until Friday, BUT then GameStop emailed the stores telling them to go ahead and release them on Thursday to anyone intersted!  How fair is that to the ones who they told to camp out? In my experience when a store tells you (and others) to come on a certain day they will be in and to literally say, CAMP out, the product is there!!!  We just called another GameStop and they are getting one in, but a man has been there since 6am and he's going to hold it for him... WOW, I was at the Willow store and NOTHING from this worker!  I was at the wrong store.  Sad you would think GameStop would train their workers to treat all customers the same. She told us no store was getting them in! LIES!!!!  Plus, she said they are not allowed to hold them when I know for a fact they have! Favorite Gamestop store to walk into! Staff is very helpful. The store carries tons of games and the pre-owned games are in excellent condition when I shop there. They may be just a tad pricey but most of the games new and pre-owned are worth it. read more
