Fun Experience @ Gamers Arcade Bar in Spokane, WA. !! We caught a comedy show next door at the Spokane Comedy Club this past Saturday and on the confirmation email, they promoted this great nostalgic bar! We're glad they did because it's a great place with classic games, friendly employees, and clean restrooms! We sat at the bar and played NES games: Excite Bike, Punch-out!!, and Super Mario Bros. What fun remembering combinations, and hidden mushrooms, lol. The drinks were good and we felt comfortable hanging out as long as we wanted. We said our goodbyes and made our way out, but before you knew it, the bar keep came out, tracked us down, and gave us what we had forgotten on the bar top! What a great guy, we appreciate you!! Wonderful spot downtown for gaming action in a relaxed environment. The biggest drawback is the small space, but we'll call it "intimate" and push on... I can't comment on the drinks. Honestly I come here to game. With that said my friends and relations have stated the drinks are fine. They've got a NES and SNES at the bar with pre-loaded, "greatest hits" type games. Only one controller for each at last visit but they may have more behind the bar. These are the mini "plug and play" systems they put out around 2017 or so that were hugely popular around Xmas time and sold out everywhere. They have the boxing game where you smack the punching bag as hard as you can and get a number value assigned to the relative mightiness of your fist. Number display is whack though so it's tough to see what you actually got. Still, at $0.50 a great value to get out some nontoxic playdough masculinity. They've got the Arcade Super Off-road which is a fucking classic and a must play. Also featuring a decent air hockey table and an excellent basketball game. Both affordably priced at $0.50 and the basketball game features a very long play time. Maybe 6 pinball machines I can't recall. Check the pictures. They have a change machine for easy access to actual quarters. No stupid game cards, tokens, or waiting at the bar for change. Service is cordial and no nonsense. read more

Great spot for some classic games and good drinks. We popped by for Tiki Thursday and sampled a few of the specialty drinks while we dueled at air hockey and Dig Dug. Surprisingly great Mai Tai, but all drinks were tasty and strong! Service was fun and attentive and we shared some music memories with the barkeep. Always love a bar with TouchTunes, putting the jukebox at our disposal. Will stop by next time we come through Spokane! read more

I've been coming here for over 4 years. I know the staff has been changed several times. One thing that I know is that over the years Alex has been the best bartender I've ever met at any bar. Any friends or even people I don't even know would only come because Alex was working. She was the epitome of customer service. I think it was such a disservice to fire her. So many people come there for her energy. And then to see her job posted immediately. It's a shame because it's the best place I've ever been but it isn't even close without Alex there. read more

Fantastic drink deals almost every day, highly personable bartenders, fun atmosphere, good games. I highly recommend going to Gamers on a Tuesday night, when even mixed drinks are HALF OFF. Competent bartenders mix specialty drinks--I recommend the Butterbeer or Captain America--and are typically happy to mix you something special upon request. They carry a decent quantity of ciders, IPAs, and domestics as well. The arcade game selection is good, with some games occasionally rotating out. The prices of the games are reasonable--I love playing Ms. Pacman for 25 cents. Air hockey is a classic and Gamers even does air hockey double-elimination tournaments from time to time. The vast majority of players are good sports. My ONLY request is for that little TV in the corner to have a Genesis Mini. The Super Nintendo emulator is good, but come on, you're missing out on half of that glorious console generation! read more

This place is super cool, different themed pinball machines and an air hockey table. They have great drink special deals. This place would even be fun to rent out for a party. It can hold up to 50people at a time. I can't wait for them to expand a bit more, their bartender/manager is very sweet and chatty.. The good kind though. Very fun talking too. Monday nights are supposed to become a trivia night! Can't wait for that to go into effect. read more

The bar is well stocked but the games are very limited. The space isn't big so if you want to socially distance this place isn't for you.

I am a fan of this place. I will say that it is a smaller venue than I had expected compared to other bars cafes I have been too. I will say that I tried the Black Opal and the Washington Apple and they were perfect for mixed drinks lovers. The atmosphere was fitting and the artwork on the walls were complimentary to the venue. I would recommend this place if you are looking to play some classic arcade games and enjoy a good drink. My only recommendation to the establishment is to update their games. read more

We stopped by before seeing Deadpool 2 on Friday night, and although the place was packed with a bridal party, it was still a fun time playing air hockey, basketball, and pinball. Overpriced watered down drinks, lame employees, gross food. Social media manager needs to rethink his choice in promotional memes.

If any business in Spokane needs to expand, it's this one. We returned to Spokane to visit the inlaws with a close friend in tow. One of the places recommended for us to visit while we were here was this arcade. As soon as Turtles in Time was mentioned, we resolved to conquer it. We surveyed the area once inside. The left side had the bar and a lot of pinball machines, and on the right were the arcade cabinets. We got our beers and quarters and took station at the TMNT cabinet. $10 later, we were victorious! We celebrated with another round and blowing the last of our quarters on Area 51. In addition to the pinball machines and arcade cabinets, Gamers has a couple of TVs that, for some reason, were showing football instead of esports, as well as a collection of old Sega games available on the side of the bar. Gamers is fun to visit, and hopefully it continues to add and expand. read more

I love this bar and have been bringing friends and family here for years. Tonight (7/3/21) the bartender was clearly high on drugs, most likely crack. I was waiting for the single occupancy restroom and he came out followed by a haze that reeked of hard drugs. He was talking a mile-a-minute behind the bar and seemed to be going in and out of consciousness. We only stayed for one drink. This guy shouldn't be handling credit cards OR mixing drinks. I'm not a Karen, but this was totally unacceptable. I hope the owner(s) become aware of this as I would like to support the Arcade Bar in the future. read more

The drinks are kinda expensive. I'm used to the typical college bars and cheaper prices. Bartenders were really nice and I had a great first experience there! Right in the heart of downtown Spokane. I decided to go on a Monday night just because it seemed liked something that might be low key for a week day. The tall male bartender forgot everything I asked when I ordered two drinks for me and a friend and seemed completely out of it...benefit of the doubt, he was probably exhausted from working late all week, who knows?? Drinks were pretty tasty but the games seemed a tad over priced for what they were. Not as friendly of an atmosphere as I thought it would be, hence the two star rating. Also they do not sell hot dogs anymore even though it is advertised everywhere that they do. I don't believe in false advertising when it comes to food! read more

Stopped into Gamers on a Saturday night. It was a super unique place filled with vintage video games. If you forget change no worries they have an ATM, etc. to get you your quarters and $1's. Gamers has a huge beer selection and most things seemed to be under $5. I recommend stopping in for a little game or two on part of a fun night out! I love the idea of this place! Friendly staff, quick service. Lots of great games. With that being said the place can be very cramped with no tables or chairs. Very hard to set drinks down. Also the touch tunes box doesn't have a card reader, which is just weird. Drinks are decently priced but weak & inconsistent. read more

I really wanted to love this place and maybe on a weekday I could. The pros- drinking while playing fun games, quarters on site. The cons- small, crowded, loud, very limited seating. I had a butter beer that I wish was sweeter. But it was strong. Lasted about 23 minutes in this place before I felt like I couldn't breath. read more

Smaller than I thought but very clean, friendly service, and very cheap happy hour, a mixed top shelf drink and a local beer for $6.50. Played ghostbusters and Star Wars pinball, and street fighter and off road arcade games. Everything in perfect working order. Nice donkey kong mural on the back wall. read more

Dude, for real? It's like walking into all the best memories of my childhood. Gamers is a fun bar filled with retro game machines. They have a Cruis'n racing game, Off-Road, I think the Simpsons game, something like Tekken, some shooters (Area 51?), a basketball game, and other classics. But, my favorite was the SNES hooked up at the bar. While the prices for the machines were great, the SNES is just there to use so long as you are a paying customer. What?! I just sat and played Super Mario Brothers while my husband went crazy on the other machines. On top of the nostalgia, they have all the classic junk food. They have chili cheese dogs, nachos, and of course, Frito Pie. If you don't know what Frito Pie is, it's basically what I lived on during softball season in TX. Grab a bag of fritos, dump on nacho cheese and chili. BOOM! Frito pie. Yeah... I grew up in the southwest. Anyway, if you are looking to have a shot of nostalgia with a shot of whiskey, this is your place! Probably the best thing about this bar is that all of the machines actually worked, which is rare to find in a retro gaming institution. read more

Okay lemme say this: My husband and I are giant nerds. It's amazing that an arcade with Star Wars pin ball and air hockey wouldn't get five stars immediately from us. This review weighs heavy on my heart cause I really want it to be five stars buuuuuut Gamers just doesn't deserve anything more than three stars. The customer service at this establishment is grossly under par. When we walked in we were not greeted. It was us and three other people. The two dudes at the bar were counting down their registers, so I gave them a pass, math is hard! A few minutes went by and I said "Hey, can we order some drinks?" The dude came over and carded us. We both have CA DLs so you'd assume the bartender woulda maybe said "have you been here before?" Cause we hadn't and we had no idea how to play the games. That may seem silly but I've been to many other bar arcades and some use a card system, some use tokens, etc. The bartender walked away and started chatting with his buddy and we sat there looking confused. So I finally said "How does it work in here?" and got no response. After doing a quick survey I saw a quarter machine so we figured it out. After a bit I went back to the bar for more drinks and was ignored for five minutes- again there were three people in the place and one was a buddy of the bartender. I finally had to say "hey man, can I order some more drinks?" After awhile I asked the bartender if we could play the Nintendo and he casually said yes with the stipulation that we bought more drinks. I really wanted to have loved this place cause it really coulda been our new hang out. read more

PROS: I love it here, But it isn't perfect. The staff has been nothing but friendly to me every time, Always quick to say hello and start your drink order. The cocktail menu has cute nerd themed names. CONS: Small space. There are designated stools to put your drinks on but no real tables. (A few but there really isn't room.) No ski ball or burger time which are my favorites. (WHAAAAAAT?!?) honestly, the drinks aren't very good so I'd stick with beer or wine or deal with a not so good cocktail. Not going to stop coming, but I hope they get ski ball, and a bit more mixology training! read more

Really cool atmosphere! Really cozy little place with some original and some rebuild cabinet games. The decorations are really killer with a super retro atmosphere. Just got overcharged for a well drink which was the special they had posted. They offer $3.50 mixed well drinks on Sunday, $5 for doubles. I was charged $10 for a Long Island iced tea. Also didn't have receipt, because they didn't have receipt paper. read more

This place definitely needs to expand, the arcade games were pretty close together and trying to play a two player game next to someone right next to you was hard. The place quickly filled up with people and we did not have a seat to sit in after playing a few games. The staff were friendly and the drinks were good. The Mario cart blocks above the bar was a nice touch to feeling like a kid again except in a bar with drinks Nice small place to spend some time playing some old arcade games for a bit.
