What a great stay and experience. My wife found the Distillery Inn for a getaway to Glenwood…read moreSprings. We've stayed in many of the Glenwood hotels and they're fine. Carbdondale is 14 miles away and 20-25 minutes. It is a beautiful drive between the two and was great exploring another mountain town. The Distillery Inn is a breath of fresh air. They offer five rooms. One is downstairs adjacent to the distillery and tasting room. It is handicap accessible. The other four are just up a few sets of stairs and have their own balconies. The room we stayed in Ginger is gorgeous. It is modern and offers a ton of space. The bathroom is large with a closet with safe, large counter with oversized sink, bathroom with sliding door and walk in shower with rain and handheld heads. The bed was very comfortable with high quality sheets. There is a gas fireplace and coffee machine and mini fridge. They do offer a minibar and their own spirits to buy. The room had a couch and desk as well as a patio with two chairs to relax in. On the second floor is an outdoor patio with several tables to sit at. We took advantage of unseasonably warm weather in November to eat meals at. The patio has a beautiful view of Carbondale. They provide daily newspapers and in the hallway for the rooms are additional coffee pods, plates and silverware for eating in your room. The owner Connie was extremely helpful going above and beyond to surprise my wife with flowers. She gave me different options and the vase and flowers were in the room when we checked in. She answered questions we had and helped us troubleshoot a small problem with some of the technology. The tasting room is gorgeous. We didn't spend much time there but enjoued live music from the patio (with fireplace) just outside. They have reserved parking for Inn guests behind the building in the alley. They do have free charging for electric vehicles which is very uncommon. We did buy a few bottles of their Moonlight Espresso and Whiskey and they are both delicious and oh so drinkable. The downtown of Carbondale was quiet but filled with lots of restaurants, shops and mountain hospitality. Looking forward to returning to the Distillery Inn on future visits.

Walking distance to everything, including Main St shops and restaurants, hiking trails and a working farm w/ animals to visit. Five rooms total were perfect for gathering family while each having our own rooms. A rooftop area extended shared areas. Best of all, they distill their own brand of vodka and whisky and serve creative mixed drinks downstairs. You could never find this at a name brand chain hotel. GREAT mattress, a gas fireplace, high end bathroom finishes, stocked mini fridge and in case you need them, snacks for purchase. Bags of ice are steps from each door, along with a little coffee/tea/newspaper area for the floor. No front desk. No office. But the ladies who run the Inn are friendly and efficient, communicating via email and phone. You get a keyed entry code prior to arrival. Small town hospitality without the awkward B&B interactions. We all loved it and will be back again.

Kelley answered my email questions within 24 hours, at all times of the day and night. That's what I call great service! We stayed in the upstairs suite, which was very comfortable for 4 people. The furnishings & decor everywhere in the Inn were very cozy, yet contemporary. They offer free wifi, and advanced TV options, so you can sign into your own accounts. On the weekends they offer a fully cooked breakfast with a pre-determined menu, which was extensive and delicious. John, the owner, is a pretty good weekend Chef! Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed meeting the owners, and staying at their Inn, that they have refurbished, and are very proud of.

The Inn is cozy with a great touch of funky style! Our room was the first floor queen and it had, no joke, the most comfortable mattress I've ever slept on away from home! Kelli makes sure you get settled in nicely and there are abundant recommendations for things to do and places to go in town. The location is great, just off of the main road so walking everywhere is a snap! There's also two vintage Schwinn bikes for use! The breakfast was very scrumptious as well! I had the dutch baby, which I neeeeeever get to indulge and it was mouth wateringly good! Please book these folks next time you need a get away, it's so relaxing!

This hotel is a bit dated, we checked in the front and circled around the back to park. I noticed one of the elevator was down, so we had to use the back elevator to go upstairs to our room. The hot pool is a walk down the hill. There's a trail to get down there. The locker room is available to use for all guests. I believe they offer daily access as well, if you don't decide to stay at the resort. 2 Olympic size pools, one of them over 100 degrees and the other below 100. We hungout there until we got hungry. It was so cold out, I was running and shivering. Hotel was clean and convenient, free breakfast in the morning before check out.

They have their own lodge opposite the pools. Modern accommodations. I got a regular double queen room for $229/night + tax & fees. That includes breakfast in the main pool building at The Grill, complimentary resort robes you can wear while walking over to the pool building, unlimited access to the pools, unlimited towels, men's & women's locker rooms with showers. The lockers are free using 4 digit codes. No keys. If you entered the wrong code like I did twice, an housekeeping attendant will unlock it. The main football field sized pool opened in 1888 and except for a short period during WW II it has been available to everyone. I didn'task about racial issues, but no restrictions now. Current hours are 9am-9pm. The main pool is 95F and the Therapy pool is 104F. Two years ago they opened 5 new smaller pools including a cold plunge at 50F and a slightly warmer 75F. The Therapy pool has jacuzzi couches and water jet positions. The pool building includes a full fitness center for $19/day open to all.
