Private entrance led to a large bright room with microwave and mini-fridge, tv, table and chairs and very comfortable king sized bed. The light colored bedding, long flowy ivory curtains and the sound of the creek right outside our windows created a very romantic/peaceful vibe. Bathroom is large and nicely appointed. There are two private patios, creekside, just down from the house. My boyfriend and I enjoyed sitting by the fire, listening to the water and sipping Prosecco. Then there was breakfast.....SO delicious. Stan made us what I would consider a very cheffy/gourmet meal; salmon, potatoes, eggs, fruit salad, english muffin and his homemade raspberry butter. Coffee and great conversation with Stan and the other guests made for a really nice time. Hummingbirds galore, places to hike and admire nature if you chose, or sit and just relax. It's also close enough to town to be most places within a few minutes. Wonderful experience, thank you Stan! Would 100% recommend and we hope to be back.

Our room was comfortable with plenty of pillows, blankets and an electric wood-fired style heater. The backyard is on the Crystal River and we enjoyed time by the river watching the birds, listening to the river and relaxing. Breakfasts were amazing with fresh fruit, omelets, waffles, stuffed french toast, excellent coffee and an assortment of teas! Lisa, our host was accommodating and friendly but not intrusive at all. She knew so much about the area and gave suggestions to keep us busy. She knew many local business owners and helped us researched a jeep trip, made appointments for us at her onsite spa (facials and massages!!!), told us about horseback tours and tons of local hiking. There was so much to do that we will have to go back. I highly recommend a stay at this B and B. You will not regret it!

The lodge sits on the river and looks out on the beautiful Roaring Fork Valley with great views of Mt. Sopris. The rooks are beautiful and comfortable, and they have a great kitchen and dining area. Our room was on the top floor and was sooo cute and clean! The bed was super comfy and we loved that there was a ceiling fan. The room has AC and was very cool in the evening. The location is walking distance to anything in town. The breakfast the following morning was PERFECTION. We started with a local fruit salad and finished with homemade blueberry lemon meringue pancakes with bacon. The pancakes were so fluffy! We can't say enough good things about this place. Stay here a while. If we're ever back in the area we will definitely be back!

My wife and I stayed here for our honeymoon and rented out the Teocalli King Room. The sheets and bathrobes were nice, and the stand-in shower was excellent. It was quite cozy with plenty of room, storage space, and amenities to make it as comfortable of a stay as possible. Not to mention the direct access to the hot tub was a plus, which was a great addition. The host, Chris, is a superb cook and prepares a high-quality breakfast every morning of a variety of delicacies. I'm not even a fan of eggs but his Southwestern frittata has made me a believer now. He's very attentive to allergies as well and will always do his best to accommodate. My wife has a severe gluten allergy and he was always sure to supply a substitute. The only other thing he hosted regularly was beer tastings at 5, which we were unable to attend due to our plans, but he does have a nice selection of brews stored for it. The views from the B&B are great and it's located just a short walk from Elk Ave, where you'll find all the main shops and restaurants. Even closer is the bus stop that'll take you up the mountain. Overall, I cannot recommend Purple Mountain B&B for your stay. For the price point, the amenities, and level of service you're getting, it can't be beat. Definitely staying here again when we come back some day.

Every morning at breakfast he cooks something delicious and lets everyone know what is going on around town that day and can provide good suggestions on hikes/trails and also on restaurants. We stayed in the Crested Butte room which was cozy and reasonably priced; also took the cruiser bikes for a spin around town that are provided for our use. We LOVED our stay and absolutely will return the next time we head to Crested Butte.

I stayed here during Labor Day weekend and had a very pleasant time. Actually it's my first Bed & Breakfast experience! The hostess did a great job welcoming us when we got there and served us breakfast in the morning. It was pleasant to have a nice healthy breakfast before the hike too. The view is amazing and the landscaping is very well thought out and beautiful. Gretchen and her family was out of town, so Helen was a very wonderful hostess during our stay.

Nothing like hot tubbing while it's snowing. There are hooks for coats and other places to unpack clothing, but it would've been great to have access to the closet to fully get our stuff and bag out of the way. Also, this is an old home with creaky floors and stairs which I personally love. However, if you're a light sleeper, you're gonna hear squeaks and the murmur of voices. Bottom line, we had a wonderful time and will be back!

We booked two nights here when we were in Glenwood Springs, and it was a pleasant surprise. The motel is impeccably clean, both the grounds as well as the room. The bed was large, cozy, and comfortable. We asked for extra pillows and towels, and the staff happily obliged within minutes. The only downside was that our room did not have a mini-fridge, but we used ice to keep our drinks cold. The TVs here have more channels than any other hotel or motel I have stayed in, including nice properties. You have the full cable channel lineup as well as several premium channels like HBO. Our room was upstairs and we enjoyed sitting on the "porch" outside in the chairs and having drinks and talking. Others staying here occasionally sit outside as well. Despite being so close to the highway, the room was extremely quiet at night. A few restaurants are within walking distance, including an authentic taco truck, El Taco Express. I would happily stay here again and will recommend it to any friend traveling in the area.
