To which I said, heck yeah! He told me that I had to check out this place called, Jedi Alliance, an arcade with a bunch of old school games. Say no more, I'm in. However, they're only open Friday through Sunday, which makes it difficult for me and my work schedule. Fast forward to today (Sunday), I had the window of opportunity to make the hour drive to Spokane with the hopes that this arcade was all that I dreamt it to be lol. My friend had no idea where we were going and was still confused when we pulled into the parking lot. When we walked in, I got the instant nostalgic old school vibe and feel as it was kinda dim with all the games and machines giving the place a magical glow. "Voltron" greeted us and asked if we've ever been in before and we said no, we're first timers. He was really nice and when he went over the rules, he spoke calmly and read the rules in a speed that we actually understood. Sometimes you go to these game places and when they explain how things work, they either speed talk or mumble. Voltron did a great job giving us the run down and instructions and even gave us some history on the place. The cost is $18 per person with unlimited play from open to close, which I found as a great value because we ended up losing ourselves there for 3 to 4 hours! There's over 140 classic pinball and joystick games, which is outstandingly epic. There's no other place in this area that offers this many games and with the variety of retro classics too. I'm not sure if it's because I'm born in the early 80s, but this place hits the bullseye. I had a blast reminiscing from when I was a kid and I kept hearing my friend say, this is so fun, lol. The bonus is the fact they have a hand washing station, which I definitely used a few times. With all the hands touching the machines, I really appreciate the owner's thoughtfulness. Jedi Alliance has more than just games, they have a museum of retro pop culture movie posters and props, a huge collection of old school dolls, figurines, toys, and games. Some things are for sale and some things are not. Overall, this was one of the best times I've had in quite some time and will definitely be back.

My brother and I dug around for an hour or so and I came away with some good finds. Not everything is as cheap as I'd like but if you spend enough time you can find some deals. My spouse and I are gamers and Manga readers so it was a dead giveaway to our family that we'd like the store. The store carries books, comics, Manga, dvds, video games, card games, d&d stuff and even some board games, including the side products like wall scrolls and figures. The family loves the book and comic sections, and frequent the Nintendo and Playstation aisles. No surprise they left with a couple clearance books. We picked up a set of One Piece figures that my husband had been eyeing online but couldn't find a complete set at a single store. EntertainMart had the full set and a couple extras so we were stoked on that find. We even noticed a Nintendo Switch OLED for sell which is out of stock everywhere and if we didn't already own a switch and switch lite we might have grabbed too. We went fairly late so they didn't have much staff on site but there also was only a few customers there. The cashier who helped us was friendly. For being his first couple days on the job, did a good job quickly getting through the multiple spider wraps we had brought up. They use multiple kinds of wraps so he ended up getting a crash course because of us haha. We will definitely continue to stop by when we visit family in town and hope to find some new treasure amongst the shelves.

I was trading in about 10 games for in store credit and it took the man working there a half an hour just to do so. The scanner wasn't working so the worker had to type in the codes on the fine print of each of the games. He was suppose to put me on the waiting list for a game I wanted that they were out of stock of. however he forgot to. The next and most likely last time I'm ever coming there a different young male employee who acted very unprofessional and said bizarre things that didn't make any sense. When I simply stated that the last time I was there they forgot to put me on a waiting list the male employee acted like a smart ass and said "Oh to bad to was a hate crime." And he giggled several times under his breath. He made me VERY uncomfortable. I don't know what he was inferring by "hate crime." I was the only female in the store. I felt his comments towards me were sexist. He acted like he didn't want to help me he sighed and said "well I have to do my job." This worker has one of his friends doing 50% of his job and posing as an employee. I have two witnesses that witnessed this happen. I'm ready to contact the BBB. This was all very unprofessional.

By far the worst experience I've ever had with GameStop. On…read more01/02/25, I called this GameStop about my one-year-old PS5. I mentioned that I'd started hearing the fan for 1-2 minutes when turning it on. The girl who answered said that was "abnormal" and advised me to bring it in for a trade under warranty. Trusting her, I brought it in, unaware they'd mark my PS5 as "defective" without testing it or letting me know the replacement would be a used console. When I got home, I found the replacement PS5 wasn't factory reset, was clearly used, and the fan ran constantly during gameplay. I called back, and they apologized, claiming it was a "mistake" and that "this never happens." I returned the following day (01/03/25) and spoke with an employee named Jose, who was incredibly rude and unprofessional. Over the phone, he laughed at me, and when I called him out on it, he said it was "just his personality" and I "should've known better" because the fan noise was normal and likely just needed dusting. He told me to "Google it next time." When I asked for my original PS5 back, he said I couldn't have it because it was already marked as "defective." When I went to the store, Jose laughed in my face multiple times and repeated the same dismissive comments. I asked to speak to the manager, and he claimed he was the manager. When I asked for his boss, he rolled his eyes, went to the back to call the director, and eventually came out holding my PS5 with a sticky note saying, "Don't ship." He scanned it in front of me and said he still couldn't return it to me because it was marked "defective". I started crying at this point, but Jose ignored me, doing other tasks. To make matters worse, his girlfriend came into the store, brought him food, and wandered around watching me while I was stuck there for an hour. Jose finally offered me another used PS5 or suggested I buy a new one. I asked for GameStop corporate's number, and he flipped through a binder, said he "couldn't find it," and told me to "Google it," adding that "they never respond anyway." Exhausted, I accepted another used PS5, which was stained, scratched, and dirty. I had to ask him to clean it, and he begrudgingly did so while laughing at me again. He also couldn't tell me how old the replacement console was. On top of this, I had been charged $80 for a warranty the day before, and they refused to refund it since the trade-in had already gone through. The whole experience left me feeling humiliated and frustrated. On 01/04/25, I spoke with another employee, Chris, who confirmed that the fan noise on my original PS5 was normal and likely just needed a quick dusting. He apologized for the situation and said I should speak to Beth, the store boss, on Monday (01/06/25). He also mentioned that all employees are "managers" when working alone and that marking items as defective is "how the store makes money." He even called Jose "laughing pants," which made me feel mocked all over again. On 01/06/25, I returned to the store and spoke with Beth. She apologized but defended Jose, saying he "always gets good reviews" and that she was surprised by how he treated me. I explained that just because he's nice to other customers doesn't excuse his unprofessional behavior toward me. Laughing at someone over the phone and in their face multiple times, telling them to Google things, and saying they "should've known better" is not acceptable. Beth apologized again and finally gave me my original PS5 back, but she only refunded $46.04 of the $80 warranty charge. I was so exhausted I didn't fight for the full amount, though I regret not doing so. I also asked if I could put in a formal complaint about him but all she said was she would "speak with him". When I got home, I discovered an email showing I'd been signed up for a GameStop Pro membership without my consent. When I called the store, a different employee dismissed it as a mistake and said I wouldn't be charged. However, the next few days (01/09/25), I saw in my bank account that I was only refunded $26.46, and I had been charged for the membership. GameStop Customer Service said they couldn't help because the store was responsible for these issues since it happened there and not online through them. Now, I have to wait until 12 PM today (when the store opens) to speak with them again. I expect my full $80 warranty refund, especially since Beth, the boss, was the one who charged me for a Pro Membership I never agreed to in the first place. This store has been nothing but disrespectful and unprofessional throughout this entire ordeal. This whole experience has been incredibly frustrating. I later went to CPR across the street, where they checked my PS5 and said it was in perfect condition and only needed a quick dusting, which they did for free. They also shared that they've heard many similar complaints about GameStop and to never return to them, highly recommend avoiding it/only purchasing consoles or games on PS5 site.
