My sweet birthday boy had fun despite mom's frustration with the experience

Jennifer K.

We had my son's 5th birthday party here this morning. Absolutely zero of what was conveyed to me during booking actually occurred. There was no one there to open / unlock the doors 15 minutes prior to our party. The pizza was not out at 11 as our contract said. We had to pay up front instead of at the end (normally you pay at the end of a party in case you have extra guests or add on more food). Once I paid, I tried to add more pizza but they said I couldn't since I already paid. But I could go to the cafeteria and order my own food separately if I wanted. This place was DIRTY, the employees unfriendly and the overall feel was that we were inconveniencing them by being there. We have food allergies in our family and was frustrated their menu isn't accommodating to that at all, nor do they allow you to bring anything in from outside besides cake. I understand not all kitchens can accommodate for gluten free dishes, but you should allow a birthday party to bring in a fruit or veggie tray. The points vs included games are confusing and we had to go find employees anytime someone wanted to do a ride. They're clearly understaffed and the few people who are working, are not very helpful nor have a sense of urgency. I have 3 kids and have now held 18 kids birthday parties all over the greater Houston area. Never in my life have we had a party where the kids were expected to do food, cake and presents upon arrival and THEN go play arcade games and do rides AFTER the party was over. That was not clearly explained to me when I booked and we ended up with a lot of disappointed kids and parents, in addition to wasted time. After discussing our issues with the manager, the party timelines come straight down from "corporate". There's zero sense of customer service and taking ownership of a situation. The only positives I can note: our party host was pleasant and tried to be helpful, they do include tablecloth, two small balloon clusters and the plates & silverware.

Old dirty chairs. The "decorating" they did was just set the table.

Slartibartfast N.

Do not have a party here! I get there and start bringing things inside. Asked for a cart, made several trips to my car before they brought one. I had to put everything on the front desk. The party room was depressing and everything was old and looked dirty. Online it says there's new management and they redid the place. There were flickering lights, old tape on the walls, the chairs looked beat up. They had set the table, but hadn't put up the decorations I brought the day before. It wasn't a lot, just a small backdrop and a happy birthday banner. I spoke to Whitney twice. The first time I thought she was just having a bad day, second time, nope, she's just rude. She told me several times to make sure I brought decorations the day before or they wouldn't decorate the room. I asked the party host, Ivan, for some tape, to decorate myself. He brought some. Then the manager came and told me that they don't allow decorations or helium balloons, but since I brought them he'd let me keep them. I told him that I was told several times to bring party decorations and no one said I couldn't bring balloons. How are they gonna tell people to bring decorations if you don't allow decorations?? If I had known that I couldn't decorate the room I wouldn't have paid extra for a room. By this time we only had like 30-45 mins left with the room and Ivan asked if I wanted them to start making the pizzas and if I still wanted the extra pizza I had already ordered. Ummm yes. Most of the kids already left the room to look at games cuz it was taking so long. The last party place I went to, the party host helped decorate, pass out pizza and cake and even cut the cake. Not here, no help, nothing. The party package included 8 kids. I added 4 more kids, that price does not include food btw, other places do. The timed play cards wouldn't let us play the games that let you get a lot of tickets. The games we could play told us how many tickets we got. Then at the end I had kids crying, cuz none of the "tickets" they won were worth anything and they were told that they couldn't get any prizes. No one told me the kids couldn't even get prizes. Other game places have games that aren't included, with timed play cards but they can still win tickets and get prizes. A party package that was $199 ended up being over $400. Including $60 automatic gratuity for them to do nothing. The manager even asked me if I wanted to add more tip. Ummm no, $60 to bring a few pizzas to a room seems like enough. If the staff had told me how things worked there I would've had my son's party somewhere else. Total waste of money and disappointing for kids and their parents.

I would give them a negative ONE . I have 3 words to describe this place Disgusting Disgusting Disgusting . From the second we walked in to the restaurant area I noticed it was so filthy. The floors are dirty and sticky the tables and booths are as well. I have never seen bathrooms so dirty and disgusting not even at gas station bathrooms. Carpets are sticky and dirty the games are gross too. Now to the customer service- terrible to say the least. Nobody cares about their jobs much less taking pride in their work. Bad attitude all around from all the employees including management. Close this location down and start over with another fun place for families to enjoy. See pictures of bathroom and kitchen door.

Dirty dirty carpet. Anything that you had to touch had a layer of something gross on it.

Jennifer D.

Was here at 11 am on a Tuesday but it was obvious the place wasn't cleaned the night before, or perhaps the past year. Several machines were broken and my feet literally stuck to the floor in more than one place. That carpet needs to go.

Lou C.

Hello with everyone else's low-rated reviews. I am all about value and entertainment. I love my day spent at iT'Z Family Food and Fun Center at 249. Tuesday buffet is only $2.99 with 99 cents drink. I had endless trips to salad bar. However, I didn't see any pizza I could eat. Look at the fresh iceberg lettuce, romaine lettuce, hummus and other fixings. They're just made for me. No mushrooms? No problem. I just peeled them off of vegetarian pizza for my salad. The salad dressings bottles are made for adults with muscles. Those big old axe heavy jugs aren't for kids to handle. Scrumptious dressing pouring slowly from the jug onto my salad plate. Shoot! This place is perfect for old people like me. I am easily entertained. I was there with some younger people and watching them playing. They've got video games I can't even pronounce, bowling, bumper cars, movies at Galaxy Diner, thrilling ride called Disko, laser tags and rock climbing. The only game I was able to play was throwing ping pong balls at orange pads. The balls bounced all over of places. I had fun picking them up from the floor before people step on them. This game gave me lots of exercise and a giant backache at the end of day. I would definitely come back when I don't work on Tuesday. I love their first rule - no profanity, even when you are mad as hello. **43rd review of 2018**

Years ago it'z was the spot to be. I think because of Covid their business has declined. We arrived today and it was relatively empty which we thought was a good sign because we would be able to play popular games with the kids. That wasn't the case. Quite a few of the games and rides / attractions they wanted to do were closed. Which bummed them out a bit, but we already paid and we just made the best of it since they had 3 hours with us. There was times the older one was disappointed and sat on the bench because the ones he was looking forward to weren't open. The employees here were extremely friendly! Especially the young lady and the young man at the monkey jump! They were so helpful and made it easy for the kids to ride again once she swooped their cards again. The lady at the concession stand was super nice too! She answered the boy's questions. Disco was closed, laser maze was closed, and a lot of games we wanted. man I wanted to try that we bare bears claw game so bad. Overall the boys had as much fun as they could. They enjoyed the bumper cars and crashing into me. The attendant there was super friendly to us! He had to teach me how to drive the bumper cars lol. For food you don't have many options here so I got the boys what they wanted and picked off of the mini corn dogs (surprisingly good). I'd recommend going to Dave and busters I've never seen this many games or rides closed there. I would come back if they had more open, and had a bit more food options . Three stars because of the great service. Thank you for the memories!

Misty D.

Nope, nope nope. We will not be back. It's so sad how overpriced this place is. The service was terrible too. They no longer have the buffet and there are no healthy options on the menu.

Rosy P.

We came mid-afternoon on a weekend and I was surprised to see that it wasn't as busy as I thought it would be. We opted for the three hour unlimited play pass for $17.99 which included unlimited attractions (rides) and unlimited (non-prize) video games. These video games were located in the back portion where they also have rooms along the back for private parties. We also opted to purchase the fun card for $50 which came with 275 points. My child blew through that pretty quickly. We should have opted for the $100 card which really is the better value. Once we got our passes squared away we walked in and found the bumper cars in the back. It was dark and didn't look like anyone was working there. There is a small white "call" button you push and the attendant comes over. This was included as an activity in our unlimited play pass. There were 4 "attractions" that were included in the play pass but one, the Disk'o, was out of commission that day. We really only had access to 3 attractions - the bumper cars, the Monkey Jump and the rock climbing. The attractions do have height requirements so you may want to check what attractions your child will be able to participate in. Most of the video games in this section that we could use our unlimited play pass on were riding/driving video games. There was a water blast game here that reminded us of the carnival games at the Houston Rodeo. It didn't work. The water shooting out barely had any force. It was disappointing. They had two air hockey tables that got a lot of play. That was popular. Over in the ticketed games section, where you use your fun card, it was brighter. The lighting was literally brighter in the fun card section vs the dim lighting of the play pass section. I noticed a lot of the crane games were either not working or rigged to not even drop down low enough to pick up a prize. That was very disappointing to my child. The games are spaced a very good distance apart. No overcrowding here! There is a small bowling center inside that is located between both game areas. The prize area is to the side and partially closed off from the games. The prizes were...meh. There was a lot of small cheap stuff but the kids didn't seem to mind. A prize is a prize I guess. They have a small food court located to the side of the entrance area. There is also a small little "movie theater" - the Galaxy Drive-In. Inside it is dim, like a movie theater, with booths and tables to sit and eat at. They were playing Toy Story when we peeked in on our way through the food court to the bathroom. It's still set up like a buffet in this area but the buffet is no longer there. They had temporary walls put up to prevent access. Bathrooms here are located in the back and there were no paper towels in the women's restroom. They didn't have soap dispensers mounted on the walls either. They had two individual soap dispensers that ppl just moved to whichever sink they were using. All in all, I would come back. I don't think that it is worth as much as we spent considering the games that were out of order or that were not working "correctly". Wednesday's are half price games so maybe that would be a better day to get your money's worth on those fun cards. I do want to point out that I noticed two different staff members wiping down the games so I do feel that they try to sanitize the high traffic spots on games as much as they can. My child had fun and really, I think that's all that matters here. This is a good middle ground between Chuck E. Cheese and Dave & Busters. It can be fun for all ages - from preschool age kids to teens and young adults.

I had a great time! I can't say it's because the place has been kept up over the years--it was NASTY. So many of the arcade cabinets are broken or in disrepair, several of which were without signs to indicate so. It was a lot of fun to laugh about, but I definitely won't be coming back. The bathrooms were awful. I don't even know what happened in that picture; was somebody standing on the toilet, primed and ready? How long has that dookie explosion been plastered all over the wall? I would give my condolences to the poor kid who has to clean it, but I doubt those bathrooms have seen maintenance in at least a month. It was bad. The rest of the building was in a similar condition cleanliness wise, and in some places my shoes stuck to the floor. I took several long showers when I got home, and I would recommend you do the same if you plan to visit.

I had a great time despite the roller coaster being down, however there was one staff member who was extremely rude and dropped the "f-bomb" a few times in front of my 11 year old sister. She also seemed very on edge and tense and would get mad at us for random things. Otherwise, I had a good time. The food was okay, but many of the rides were broken. read more

The atmosphere is nice needless to say. The bowling at 8pm is a joke. Even though it's a first come first serve, once your time limit is up you will not be given extra time to finish your game. Regardless if people are waiting on not. The guy from the front desk was rude and very incompetent of the policy or the ideal of first come first serve. Now the music is even worst. Everyone listens to top 40 or kid friendly music, but what is mom rated music. How long can you listen to kid Disney on a Saturday night? Horrible business. I will not be returning here again and hope everyone reads this before they go to the bowling area. read more

This place was great. It's HUGE, so doesn't compare to CEC, and the food is quite good. Rides are great, however age limit is most suited for kids under 14. Movies play so if parents want to sit, eat, and watch a movie after running around the big area, it's a nice break. I'm twenty-five, but took my "little sister" who is ten. She did not want to leave. Well worth the price! read more

Decided to take my daughter here for her birthday. Nothing fancy since is a school night. Came here at 7:45 pm and they close at 11 but the buffet closes at 8?!?!?!? It doesn't make sense. And the girl up front told us we couldn't get in the building unless a buffet was purchased. Well my girls needed to use the restroom so she told us it was in the back. So we started walking through the arcade are to go to the restroom. And she followed us to tell us that we can not go in the building unless we purchased. Then I told her well we are just going to the restroom. It doesn't make sense to have the buffet close so much earlier then the actual closing time. Nowhere online it says what time the buffet closes. They need to clarify that to people. Very disappointed. Got a birthday girl very unhappy. Will never go back to this place. I don't even think this place deserves the 3 star it has..... read more

We were greeted at the door by Ingrid and India who were SO helpful in explaining the different packages and they helped us pick a plan that was perfect for our son. During our stay we had a slight error with our card, but Brian, the operation manager, quickly resolved our issue and helped us get back to our fun! For the amount of money we paid we had a FULL day of games, rides, pizza and the drive-in theater (maybe my son's favorite) where we ate and watched parts of the Incredibles, Good Dinosaur and Toy Story. We could not have asked for a better place to visit, both in price and fun, for a Sunday afternoon; the staff of Brian, Ingrid and India added the kind touch you don't always see in a place this size. Ok I get the family fun Center is for the kids. The pizza at the buffet is below standard at the least. After you get their most expensive tiered package because you want your kid to have a good experience the bowling after all that is $5 extra. So if you paid for 4 kids and an adult at $25 a person you already spent $100 and then $5 more for the bowling. If you have a child that is smaller most of the games are adult themed. Mostly shooter and driving type games. Don't worry about playing them because %25 are broken and not aligned with the sight. The staff is rude and not helpful. If you want a cup with a lid you have to buy the souvenir cup who's is a large cup with a lid. So bring a sippy cup for your young child. The salad bar is not better than most that I've seen in these places and the deserts are like rice crispy treats and chips ahoy cookies. Do yourself a favor and just go to six flags instead. You'll come out on top with your kid riding a bunch of rides for the price you pay. Such a horrible experience. read more

Took my son for his birthday, the packages for a small party is a little to steep for my tastes but they're very cool about allowing you to bring your own cake and make it your own party. This was our first time going and we had a blast! Loved the people, the New General Manager was our cashier and we didn't even know it. Super friendly, even greeted us out in the game room area to ask how our experiance was. The food was way better then the Incrediable pizza and Chucky Cheeses. My entire Family will be headed back! Only advice, buy the 28 dollar package its way better. We started off with just a game card but quickly realized how much money we were about to spend!! Only think i wish they had or would perfect is like a family package. Thanks again Al! You're doing an awesome job!! read more

Honestly, this place wasn't as bad as it seemed. My house had a termite infection at the time and lived with my sister. Once settled, my sister's kid's birthday was that day. I wasn't looking forward to it but I had to be there. The reviews weren't all that hot but I found it to be quite fun. Of course I think this is place isn't really for adults. And I'm judging this place by what the kid thinks. Now the adults don't like this place but kids do. In my opinion, it's not bad. So, it's like going to chuck e cheeses. I was not impressed with this place by any means! Held my daughter's birthday party here and the whole party was all over the place! Paid for an hour of bowling only played for 30 minutes before the game got cut off. We were offered to receive the remainder of time after the party was seated back at the table and ready to eat. The party host was not very warm & inviting & in fact felt rushed through the whole party time. The pizzas weren't ready on time. The Buffet was out of just about everything, including plates, cups, and straws. 3 of my party guest kids had to wear the wrong size shoes for bowling because they were out of their shoe size. When the time came to pay out for our party the young girl working the service counter was rude and lacking in the customer service department! The food has a wide variety and if you don't see something you like you can always request a pizza made the way you like it.... Cheap affordable fun! Happy SPRING BREAK 2012 read more

My kids just love this place !!! We heard so much good stuff about it, that we had to check it out ourselves. Great place, great prices.... and the buffet prices are cheap. And lets be honest, what do you expect for $2.99 buffet ? Theres a lot of places that charge way more, and honestly, we are going there to play games, having pizza there is just a side effect.... :) read more

My family and I absolutely love this place! We love the kid friendly buffet and it's definitely a good value for money. Now keep in mind this buffet, in my opinion, is tailored to the interests of kids. My kids love the different pastas on the bar and the soups. I enjoy the chicken Alfredo as well. The new indoor playground is awesome as well ! Very nice and clean. My. 2 & 4 yr old love it! They play while my husband and I sit near and watch good old fashioned cartoons! If you have children this is the place to take them....if you want to go broke. This place is completly over price the quality is below par. They force you to buy a pizza pasta buffet and drink, $12.00 for 1 person, (better off at cicis $4.99). I would prefer since im force to pay for a meal that they had a cook to order area for those not intrested in food that has been handled by all types of people before you get a chance to contaminate it. I can go to golden corral for less then it cost at ITZ and atleast have steak, chicken, ribs, roast, pork chops and so on.ALL I CAN EAT. ITZ isS*ITZ read more

Expensive. LOUSY food. We arrived when they opened their doors to avoid the "older kids crowd". We couldn't get the people who worked there to open the bumper cars. Then had to hunt someone down to open the rollercoaster. She told us to wait (had better things to do). They guy had to turn off the bumper cars to work the rollercoaster and so fouth. Honestly; for what we paid you'd think the employees could actually WORK and let the kids enjoy themselves rather than spend their time waiting and 'annoying the help' with requests to play. Chuckie Cheese is not as cool but not NEARLY so frustrating. read more

Is a good place to take my 1 year old?

It really isn't. It is very loud and the rides have a height requirement. There is nothing that a one-year-old would be able to do there, and the atmosphere would more likely stress the baby out. I would say around 5 or older for kids to be able to…

This place serves food, drinks, and has plenty of games! You can either buy your tickets in person or online beforehand. It's $12 for entry and you can stay as long as you want and come and go with unlimited game access. From what I can tell, some days have specials. Only additional purchases are food and drinks, obviously. They have pizzas, quesadillas, salads, dessert pizzas, and pizza burritos. I tried that last thing because I had never heard of it -- think of it as like a glorified hot pocket. It was delicious! I had a salad to balance things out, and I'll surprised by how hefty it was! Since I had never had their cider before, I decided to do a flight of five. When I placed my order, I was expecting them to give me a tray of five 1 oz pours... But instead, they told me the flight will consist of five 5 oz cups.... WHOA. So I grabbed the first two and had to come back for the rest after I finished. Every single one was delicious, but I really liked the mango habanero and the one with the coconut. Now, the games... I rarely come to a barcade that has TWO Guitar Hero setups. And they had plenty of classic cabinets, air hockey, Mario Kart, shooting games... Claw machines... It was quite epic. By the way, the claw machines did cost extra, and I peeped a party room in the back that had those interactive team floor games! That would be fun to reserve for a special occasion. This place really impressed me. If you enjoy games in a bar setting, I would recommend this spot if you are in the Houston area.

I've been there with a group of adults and also with a group of kids, and just note that while it's totally fine (and very fun!) for kids, it's probably better for adults--there's no kid security check-in at the front, and the building is very big, with lots of games. We ordered a pizza from a touchscreen by a food window, and the pizza was actually pretty good, much better than I was expecting at an arcade. The downside was that, in the lunch rush, it took 30-40 minutes for that one pizza to come out, though you could tell they were individually making each item in the big pizza oven. If you want drinks, you separately order those at the front, near where you check in, which is a little odd to have two separate food/drink ordering spots. When we walked in, we paid for a wristband, which gave "free" access to all of the arcade games, except for the claw machines, which required you to buy an extra card.

We chose our computer and had to setup our accounts, I think that took away from our hour. My kid wanted to play Fortnite and it took a while to login and get started but we were able to use accounts that were licensed from the store or you could use your own. I decided to switch to Among Us about half way in and the chat was LOUD. I used the sound key on the keyboard but it barely changed a thing, there was no volume control on the headset so I took it off. Was here recently for a party and was really disappointed. There was only two partial pizzas on the Buffett and they had obviously been there for a while. When playing games we could not find anyone working the floor when a game jammed and the tickets wouldn't come out for the kids. Lastly when we went to spend our tickets the girl working the counter wasn't helpful and seemed very irritated that she was being bothered. The only bright note was the young girl working they party - she was wonderful with the kids and great and keeping them full, happy and entertained. Otherwise this location has really gone downhill and I can't recommend spending money here. read more

It's like bingo and a sing-along had a really good time together. The energy in the room was great, everyone was into it, and the whole place had that laid-back, friendly vibe that makes you want to stay longer than you planned. The crowd was fun, the staff was welcoming, and the atmosphere felt very "local hangout" in the best way. It's the kind of place where you can show up with friends, laugh way too much, and leave already planning your next visit. If you're looking for a low-key night out that's actually entertaining, Singo Bingo at The Barn is absolutely worth checking out. Definitely one of the most fun nights I've had in a while.

First they shut down their parking lot, and then started selling tickets. So if you bought a ticket that got you into the parking lot. However, you needed to buy a second ticket to get in to see the band, or you could just hang out in thier parking lot. Heres is where it gets worse. Since they shut down thier parking lot You had to park next door at the chruch. Which gladly charged $15. Now I only bought the first ticket because my girlfriend bought my second ticket. I did hear another patron say it cost her $70 and she ubered there so she didn't pay for the parking. I think we will not be returning to this establishment.

My kids had the best time. The pricing is fair especially since it's an all day play pass. Great place for children.

From the moment I stepped inside, I was greeted by rows upon rows of gorgeous color-coordinated claw machines. I was particularly impressed with the variety of machines and the selection of plushies they have, which clearly showcase the owners' commitment to quality and attention to detail. There's also a large party room in the back for private events, which I can already tell my Goddaughter will want to host her birthday party here. I attended their grand opening yesterday, and it was an absolute blast! I was fortunate enough to be one of the first 50 customers and received a generous complimentary grab bag filled with adorable goodies. I got a limited-edition Pokémon pack of cards, while my friend got a Labubu in hers and couldn't contain her excitement. She squealed like she had just hit the jackpot at the casino! We stayed for the Huntrix mini concert and the Lion Dance performance. It was undoubtedly one of the most magnificent grand openings I've experienced in very very long time. Hats off to the owners for creating such a grand spectacle. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The machines were well-stocked and user-friendly, which made it relatively easy to win most of the plushies we desired. My Goddaughter even managed to win a Japanese Pokémon Pack on the Key Master machine after a couple of tries and was over the moon about it. She also really enjoyed trading in some of her plushies for grander prizes at the counter. Great location with ample parking both in the front and back. We will definitely be regulars here. 10/10 ya'll! =) Note: They are cashless.
