Jacob came around to meet us at the door and welcomed us to the store and offered to help us. It was really nice! He listened and answered all my questions, and showed me what to look out for when my son tried on the helmet and pads. He made the visit fun for my son, referring to Minecraft and offering shoulder pads that had "real gold" on it and said it was $1mil. Lol. My son got a kick out of that. Jacob got us squared away with padded pants and a practice jersey. They didn't have my son's correct helmet size and color in stock, so Jacob made sure to take my number down so they can call me when it comes in. Which brings me to the next awesome associate who helped us-- Cooper! Cooper called me and recommended I come down to have him try on the helmet since they just got a shipment in, and it was still a small quantity. Cooper helped Noah get the helmet on, and made sure we had the correct cheek pads. Both young men were very helpful and kind, and my son thought they were the "coolest bros" ever. Thanks!

Anyways he then started running through scenarios about me clearing my home and someone taking the gun from me. The entire interaction felt like he had already decided I shouldn't have one at all, which is not his call to make and not what I was there for. What made it worse is this isn't even my first firearm (it's number 8) , which he never bothered to ask. Even if I was new ...bro everyone learns somewhere, and the whole reason I was there was to purchase my a new one and add it to my collection and continue training with it and learning more about it in classes. Instead I was treated like I didn't belong there in the first place. I ended up walking away with my child because I was so frustrated and uncomfortable, while my husband stayed behind to finish the interaction. I will not be returning to Bass Pro for any firearm purchases. There are plenty of local shops here that treat women like capable adults, and they'll be getting my business from now on.

Figured with all the advertising maybe the deals were going to be good. That was completely wrong. Store front advertises everything 50% off. Then I go to see the shoes, understandably a very small selection so instead of getting 40 odd dollar FILAs for 30 something I chose a more comfortable better quality competitor product for about 40 at about a 60% discount elsewhere. Then to color coordinate I chose a Gamma Voltage paddle which with the store closing discount was going to be about 40 something so instead I ended up buying the same paddle at a place that rhymes with Rick's for $32 dollars.
