I was ready to test and buy a brand new set of golf clubs on a Sunday. There were 3 employees in the golf services area and no one came to ask me once if I needed help. I was holding and comparing 2 sets for about 5 minutes. A couple of the employees even looked my way. Too bad they didn't come over because they just lost a sale to Golf Galaxy. I headed over the same day and purchased a new iron set with fitting. I tried to give you business, but I guess your golf shop was either too "busy" or maybe thought that someone like me wasn't a serious buyer. I was kinda disappointed in the selection that was actually on sale. There were maybe 2-3 pairs from each brand on sale out of the dozens of options. Still, I looked them over and had an idea of the ones I wanted. The salesperson, Yancey, came over to help. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. We talked about the pros and cons of multiple pairs, taking my specific needs into account. I felt satisfied with my selection and made the purchase. As a giant chain store, they have equipment and clothing for almost all of your athletic needs. I really most appreciated the service. That's what would bring me back here. Went here because another military member said that the selection of shoes for planters fasciitis was good. So I tried on several and purchased one for $184.00. I wore the shoes for less than three days now mind you I'm at a job where I stand on my feet for 8 to 9 hours a day. I brought the shoes back because they did not have the support I needed so I wanted to just exchange them for a different pair. The associate at the counter told me no because they had a scuff mark however, if I went upstairs and washed it in the bathroom that they would let me exchange for a different pair because they would put them back on the floor. Wait, you're putting used shoes on the sale floor?. Manager came over and flatly refused to give me a refund or let me exchange the shoes. This is bad practice. The receipt clearly said a refund in less than 30 days. I will never go back to Dicks for anything. read more

I went in looking for a particular item in which they only had 1 of and it was in bad shape so we asked if we could get a discount on it since it's not in great shape and it's the only one left like a military discount on the item and employee just laughed and said no. Also if you look at their online prices and compare to in store, it's way higher and they won't match it. First time, after 10 minutes, a person came up, I asked to see a shoe, and never saw that person again. I left. We were in a pickle Amazon deliver our 346-pound treadmill and paid for the room of our choice and they sent a guy and a small gal. No way they could take it up the stairs and they wanted to deliver it. They spoke Spanish so I didn't know what they were saying. Highly recommend this Dick's in Henderson. Went looking for Baseball bats and gloves. This is the store to drive to. They are the only ones that have a batting cage to try out any bats before you buy them. Excellent. They also have a computer system that will analyze your swing and more! I went to get my tennis racket strung here by Tim, He told me my grommets were old and that I needed to buy a new racket. I just had my grommets replaced less than a year ago. So I took my racket to another stringer and got it strong with no problems. I've been playing tennis for almost 40 years and I would not recommend this guy. I went in today to return shoes that I recently bought from Dicks Fashion Show on September 13. I was told I was not able to get a refund nor store credit because the shoes seemed worn. The reason I am returning the product was due to the fact it did not fit well with my feet. So yes, I had to use the product a few times for me to know it's not working for me. At the time, Sports Chalet and Sports Authority stores were closing everywhere and I wondered where we could possibly go for our fitness and sporting needs. The only other type of store that I knew of was Big 5 and their selections were definitely on the minimal side. Walking into this store was an angelic experience! They have such a large selection of items that I ended up spending a few hours in the store shopping and looking around. They have men's and women's clothing on the first floor, along with shoes, golf needs, and a few others. Upstairs has everything from fitness equipment and paddle boards to softball, baseball, soccer, and camping needs! They also have gun safes and other hunting and fishing equipment. This store definitely takes care of all of your extracurricular flavors! Whatever activities you engage in or want to engage in, this store has everything you need! Their online store is even bigger and I have found myself regularly ordering from online. Shipping is usually free and your items come fast. You can also return and exchange in the stores, to make It even easier for you. And make sure to sign up for their rewards program! Yes, you may not feel like giving your address and phone number, but you get some damn good coupons and offers, if you do. In addition to that, you also get reward checks! We purchased a wagon in 2022 and was never told that we needed to text a picture of our receipt to some 6 digit number. A year later the wagon wheel is falling apart and some other pieces to the wagon. I call the store and speak with several people and a manager, and they can only go back 90 days to find any transaction details and they aren't able to help me. I asked them what can I do regarding my warranty that I paid for, and all their responses were, call the warranty department or customer service, which I did several times asking the same questions and because I don't have the transaction details, they can't help me, but they have my money. I just had the most wonderful experience shopping at a big box store staffed by teenagers who have no interest in good customer service. Yes, that's sarcasm. I came to the store looking for a clear bag that the NFL requires these days when going to games. I had to interrupt 2 employees deep in conversation and ask them where I could find the bag. They tell me the store only has duffels and backpacks. I show them a photo from the store's own website, so they can see what I'm talking about. One of the employees radios someone and the person confirms that they only have clear backpacks. The employee then suggested that I try their Fashion Show location. Uh, thanks but no thanks. I wasn't gonna give up because I really wanted it for the game I'm going to tomorrow. That and the website clearly says the bag is available at this location! I go upstairs, and thankfully a nice young lady actually knows what she's talking about and showed me the stacks full of these bags. Because I'm a petty person, I found the employee from earlier to show show him I magically found these non-existent bags. He says, "Oh, you found them," and turns back to chat with his friend. The customer service at DSG exceeded my expectations. My son saved his money and wanted to treat himself to a new bike. He was slightly overwhelmed by the options and let the sales associates help him make his final decision. They answered all his questions and gave his bike a quick tune up prior to letting him leave with it. In addition they were certain to teach him about maintenance for his bike. A well organized, clean location that carries most of your specialty sport and athletic goods. Most times I've come here was for running shoes. They carry my preferred running shoe, Brooks. In the running shoe department I've always been quickly greeted and able to try on shoes without a wait. The clerks that have helped me have always been friendly and helpful. A few years ago we purchased a treadmill and elliptical here. The purchasing process was simple. Dick's works with a third party to pick up the equipment from store to bring to your home and assemble the equipment. The cost for this service was reasonable. Being a third party the clerks at the store couldn't give us much information about scheduling. Scheduling the assembly at my home was a hassle and the only option was one weekday per week, I think Wednesdays. I ended up having to take a half day and they tried to push my appointment up to the morning the day before. Despite the headache they did end up accommodating me and doing a good job on the assembly. As with any specialty store like this some items will cost more than getting them at stores like Target or online. They also carry things that can't be found easily or in good selection at other stores so there is that convenience as well. read more

Came in with shoes I bought in store and before I even SPOKE, DJ literally snapped at me and refused to even acknowledge what assistance I needed if I didn't have the original shoe box. Super rude. Ok fine, I message a dicks sporting goods customer service agent through their app about exchanging my shoes (I just needed a bigger size). The agent tells me that they shouldn't refuse me even if I don't have the box, the agent says that they should accept my exchange and I can show them the text conversation with the agent. Go back to the store, show them the text, the refuse to help me. ?????? Literally what. Don't work here if you can't do your fucking job. You're supposed to provide service & solutions to a customer. It's crazy how they still said no when no where in their refund policy does it say the original shoe box is required, and even then the agent themselves told me the shoe box doesn't matter and that they should help me. Each stall was a disaster. You can tell the employees are nasty and don't care. Wouldn't be suprised if they themselves didn't use their own bathroom. There's no excuse either. We had the worst customer service from DJ - the baseball glove string fixer guy. We had just arrived to Henderson for a tourney this weekend and headed to the nearest Dick's to get a catcher's glove's strings tightened. DJ is apparently the only person to provide this service at this location but DJ was getting ready to go to lunch. No problem we will come back. But no, he proceeded to say that when he returned from lunch, he had three reports to write and 50 other things to do, not to mention how many times he will be pulled to do things. So he thought at 5 pm today he would have time. Oh and he threw in that he is not working this weekend. I mean, we didn't care that we were being charged $40 when it's free at the sporting goods store back home. We were willing to pay whatever for the convenience. And this only takes ten minutes to do. That's okay though, because DJ's rude response to us was a blessing in disguise. We headed to Sportco 13 mins away and they tightened the strings for free. We also bought a pair of batting gloves. Dick's you missed out on $70. Thank you Sportco. We will recommend you to both our travel ball team AND high school team when whenever we are in Henderson!! Was just in buying golf balls. The person in the golfing area, well lets put it this was, no help at all at least to me. Either it was the way I was dressed or not pulling the card he had time to help the person who was there after I was or some other excuse. I would like to know his excuse why he did not help me after several different times I was standing in front of him looking at merchandise. Not even a hello. I do not assume how people behave but patterns cannot be ignored. Will not ever go there again. The employee who is at the golf area needs a lesson on customer service and other training. He was also more interested in his phone rather than at least assisting me or making some effort asking me if I needed assistance. I was actually looking at purchasing new clubs. I even took a club off the shelf to test but no reaction for the employee. For all of the others, I did buy the pricey golf balls because or the ratings I found online. If I had an employee like that they would have been fired. I guess Dicks has a policy I can look at my cell phone rather than helping customers. Had to give one star. It's frustrating going into a store with something specific in mind, you find someone to help you find it, in this case a rugby ball for my son, and he just can't wait to get away from you quick enough. So of course I have questions about the rugby ball, I want to know if it can be filled up, and a couple of other things and where'd my helper go? I found him wandering around the store playing with the soccer ball twice. Oh well. At least it is the one place in town that I've been able to find rugby balls. Even though they had a whopping selection of two. Both look like they've been used but we got it done. Mediocre at best as far as a rating. Bummer. On another rugby note, it doesn't make any sense to me that Las Vegas sporting good stores have such low selection of rugby balls and equipment. Just recently I had experienced pain in my left heel when I walk. It had become so alarming that I have been limping. This is a bad deal because I am an avid hiker who works at a job that demands constantly being on my feet. Although there is no proof, I am under the impression that a certain brand caused this problem. It was urgent to shape up out of that brand and purchase a light weight sneaker. I walked into the Galleria at Henderson that new light weight sneakers will fix the problem. This sneaker shop experience was going to be different. I was passing over the outlet store experience of my last sneaker purchase at Sketchers (oops I gave up the name of the certain brand) and going for the full service experience similar to my Seattle Macy's sneaker purchase experience. I needed to talk to a real human being who would measure my feet in addition to answering a couple of questions. In the Galleria at Henderson, I saw two businesses with full service sneaker shipping. They were Dick's Sporting Goods and Macy's. I ended up shopping in Dick's Sporting Goods. The sneaker department at Dick's Sporting Goods was well represented with sales help. Sure, they were kids. But they got the job done. Richard was helpful until the lady that worked in sneakers (did not catch her name) helped me. He measured my feet which interestingly seemed to gave lost half an inch. I guess hiking does that to you. He answered important questions that influenced me in purchasing lightweight sneakers facing outward with a wide size. My Sketchers were facing in which again I THINK contributed to my problem. In front of me was a $59 pair of attractive black New Balance sneakers. He brought out a couple that I'd try on. He said that he'd check back if I needed another size. He never returned, however, the happy go lucky woman representing the sneaker department enthusiastically took over. By then the 8.5 wide New Balance seemed to be the perfect fit. I wanted or actually needed to wear these sneakers. while singing a tune, she walked with me to Jessica the Cashier to finish the transaction. Optimistically, these New Balance sneakers will finish off the pain in my left heel when I walk. read more
