Never knew there was such a large gaming shop downtown! I came in to pick up some card sleeves for an upcoming trading card tournament. The shop is close to the Giants Stadium and the parking was pretty easy with only $0.50 per hour at that time. I bet during Giant Games it's gonna be more expensive and not as easily accessible to park. We parked half a block away. As stated, the shop is very large with 3 floors. The main floor has all the merch for your card and Warhammer itch. There are a painting station and an entertainment area with a couch and tv in the back. The upstairs floor is private rooms and offices. The basement is all dedicated to tournaments and a large gathering area. This is a very specialized shop that covers Magic the Gathering and Warhammer. I would love it if they carry other TCGs in the future. I hope more folks find out about this place and come by.

Cool place. Great games. Friendly owner. Would definitely come back again :) Came here to meet up with some friends after work. None of us had been here before, but the owner was super welcoming and hospitable. There's a great selection of games. We were able to come in and play one of the open card games for an hour or so. No food, but there were places nearby to eat afterward.

Amazing local game store! Everyone who works here is very knowledgeable and helpful. They host great events and have everything you could need for game night! They are slowly expanding the space, and we cant wait to see whats next!

My husband and I are huge Pokemon fans and we love to open and collect cards. But with the surging popularity of this hobby, many stores such as Target, GameStop, and other collectible places sometimes increase their prices, so it's not worth it to buy them overpriced. Gamescape keeps their prices as MSRP and their staff is very friendly. They keep it simple and easy with their Pokemon trading card items behind the counter and if they have more, they'll tell you and if they're not, they're out. None of that "hiding items from customers" nonsense that you see from other stores because they want to keep it for themselves, and etc. I also appreciate them accepting our donations of Pokemon items and accessories such as playmats, dice, binders, etc. After opening Pokemon cards, my husband and I do not need 10+ playmats, bunch of dice, and countless binders. With all of these in "never used" conditions, we would rather donate them to kids who would appreciate them more and have fun with them. I definitely do not want to sell those to kids or others as well, since they are free items with the Pokemon cards. Gamescape accepted our donations and was very appreciative. Thank you Gamescape for being one of the few places who sells their Pokemon items at MSRP and allowing us to enjoy this hobby without burning our $$$ too much lol

I definitely recommend you to shop here for your TCG and figuring hobbies needs.

The employee seemed offended that we didn't know the process and told us they did pickup only. Not once did he inform us on the actual website. Secondly the employee from the back came out to "answer" our questions, which he also was offended we were inquiring about a set that came out 6 weeks ago. He informed us we were "6 weeks late". He then proceeded to tell us incorrect information about the sets. Which feels was done on purpose. Pricing? These are scalpers, unauthorized resellers. These are the kind of people that weigh/scan packs and open all the hits. They were showing us set boxes with the shrink wrap missing, but were selling it to us at scalper pricing. (Meaning they weren't doing that thing were target rips open the shrink wrap so only collectors buy)

Golden Gate Games doesn't stock all the PSA 10 grails you might find in a showcase at a card store, but has a good number of singles that are stickered and reasonably priced. I asked about an unstickered card and the price was pretty much TCG player low listed. Chaos Rising boosters were $7, which is reasonable given the prices in the city. The owner, George was friendly and someone you can chat about cards. They have seats and tables to for a play area, so you can hang out with other enthusiasts.
