Although the servers are great people. They are often understaffed. The first time I went here was with my child hood tennis coach upon coming back to Richmond. When I saw sports bar, I thought we were about to have a day. I was ready for it, but after he ordered a coke, I knew this food was about to be pretty good. I didn't really order food because I was ready to party. I then went with my girlfriend and we got the spring rolls and chicken Verecialli. I realize the spelling is wrong but autocorrect won't help me out on this one. With her being half Asian and looking closer to 75 percent Asian, that should be a bigger testament to this review. She loves this place! I order it to go frequently and usually have no idea what in the hell I'm ordering, but I know this shit is nice. Give this place a try.

I went in for the pho and bánh mì, and both delivered. The pho broth was the star--deep, rich flavor without being overly salty, and you can tell it wasn't rushed. The pork bánh mì had everything you want: a crusty roll, tender seasoned pork, crisp pickled vegetables, and fresh herbs that brought it all together. What really surprised me was how well they pull off the combination of neighborhood sports bar and authentic Vietnamese restaurant. It's casual, welcoming, and feels like one of those places locals are going to keep recommending to friends. If you're anywhere near Midlothian, put this on your list. The pho alone is worth the trip, and the bánh mì seals the deal.

Once we were finally seated, though, the service was friendly and our server was quick to get things going! She was lovely. The portions here are fantastic for the price, which is definitely a highlight. Unfortunately, the food timing was a bit of a miss. We all ordered salads at the same time, but mine came out about 20 minutes after everyone else's. By the time mine arrived, my friends were literally finished with their meals. It wasn't a huge deal, but given the length of the delay and the fact that I was eating my entree after everyone else had already finished, I was surprised there wasn't any sort of comp or more of an acknowledgment of the inconvenience. All I was provided was an apology by the waitress from the kitchen. Overall, the food portions and friendly service were positives, but the seating and food timing could definitely use some improvement! Can't go wrong with coming here, just tamper your expectations :)

When she asked to cancel it because it was so late, the server initially refused and brought the dish out anyway. I quietly tried to explain to the manager, Chris B., that our guest was upset and that the situation should have been handled better. Instead of apologizing, he became loud and belligerent about how busy they were, which was embarrassing and unprofessional. It also felt like our large group received poor service because a 20% gratuity was already automatically added, and that charge was not very clear on the bill. Overall, the service and management response were very disappointing.

They seemed to be understaffed when we went so while the servers were extremely nice, it did take 25 minutes for us to get our beers. The food (wings & Parmesan truffle fries) came out quickly and while I prefer breaded, crispy wings, the sauces were pretty good. I loved the truffle fries and bonus: all appetizers are 1/2 off during the March Madness games. If there's a big game we want to watch, we might return since they have so many screens and a decent beer selection.

There are plenty of seating, indoor and outside. Service was nice and attentive, and the food came out quickly. Their menu had a lot of different offerings from burgers, to pizza, to entrees. FOOD: ~Sticky Ribs (4.5/5): actually fall off the bone tender! The sauce was tasty. Only thing was the ends were a little too burnt, but it wasn't inedible - gave that nice char taste. ~Italian Grinder (5/5): Typical italian sandwich, but the bread was so good. The roasted peppers added a nice kick, and the sauce was yummy. ~Fries (5/5): love battered fries! And they were seasoned really well ~Catfish and grits (4/5): the grits were wonderful consistency. Catfish was fried really well and was extremely tender. The sauce was so flavorful, but it was very heavy. At first I was worried about the huge chunks of celery, but thankfully, it didn't have that strong celery flavor and added a nice crunch. A really solid meal, especially for a golf course restaurant!

We were greeted by pleasant staff at checkout and our orders placed in a parchment type bag for take out. They also have seating inside. The pastries were just sweet enough without being overly sweet, which I like. The pistachio cream was a perfect compliment to the pecan encrusted pastry. The almond twist was both flaky and crunchy with the sliced almonds on top, and the strawberry shortcake had layers of real strawberries, whipped topping and yellow cake that was moist.
