Buyer Beware - 48 hour refund does not mean a refund. I bought a 2ds for £48 which was in fair…read morecondition. When I bought the item I was told that I could return it for a refund If I changed my mind (I asked this specificly I case I found a better deal). I found game had a brand new console for the same price, so purchased this and went to return it an hour later. I was then told the refund to was to voucher only! As I had just bought an alternate I was fuming! I explained what happened to the manager but they didn't care! I ended up spending the money from the voucher on other games I was going to purchase later on. I will not purchase anything from cex in the future after this experience!

The shop can be quiet alot of the time, and some of the stock remains in the shop for months. The staff are friendly and personal and experts in the field of video games in general.

They seem to do a good trade in second-hand consoles and some of the rarer, collectible stuff and sell lots of Japanese imports. If the shop isn't too busy, they'll happily plug in a game for you to try, or just let you have a go on whatever they've been playing when they didn't have customers. The owner has been trading games in Cambridge for as long as I can remember, must be 15 or 20 years now. Customer service is very good, if you do buy a second-hand game which doesn't work properly, they refund or replace with no fuss at all.
