They have a good selection of pens that range from the cheap Biro up to the higher-end Mont Blanc. I was able to pick up a nice hard-cover notepad that looks very professional and should last me a few more months on this project. They also do mail order.

My husband helped me hand over the items we want to the cashier and was ready to pay, then I realized that they offer student discount, so I asked if I can get the discount. The cashier said "no" straight away and the reason she gave was that even if I am a student, as long as my husband is not a student, they cannot apply the discount, without even asking whether he is a student or not. I said I could not understand because I am a student with a valid student card, just because there is one more people standing with me at the till, I cannot get the discount I can get otherwise? The cashier then said if I wanted the discount, I would have to be the one handing over the money to her. At that point I was not so pleased already, so I picked up the money and gave it to the cashier, just wanting to finish the transaction and go. She did not say anything more. However, after we got back home and had a look at the receipt, she did not apply student discount for me!! She pretended that she had when she in fact had not! I can't believe this. I have to say this is rather mean. For me, the message delivered is something like "no matter what you say and do, I just do not want to give you the discount and I don't care what you feel as my customer". I guess she just couldn't be bothered to change things she already typed in. If the staffs there are really that reluctant to give student discount, they should not offer the discount in the first place. It may be just her being unrealistic, but this gave me a bad impression about their service as a whole. It really was not about the money, that was just a couple of quids. It was about the attitude and principle. I felt I wasn't treated nicely and fair, and with this poor service, I would never say it is a decent store.
