If the shop isn't too busy, they'll happily plug in a game for you to try, or just let you have a go on whatever they've been playing when they didn't have customers. The owner has been trading games in Cambridge for as long as I can remember, must be 15 or 20 years now. Customer service is very good, if you do buy a second-hand game which doesn't work properly, they refund or replace with no fuss at all.

Worst part though was the truly useless customer service when I contacted them to find out where the heck my stuff was. Confrontational, blame shifting and unable to even muster an apology or read my emails properly. I've spent €1,000s here in the past but they won't be getting a penny more from me. I know their discount is tempting but there are other retailers with similar discounts and WAY better attitudes.

And of course, that has direct repercussions on our household life. It means many hours walking by Games Workshop and Dark Sphere to pick up things for his army. It means many hours helping him paint tanks and aliens. It means bookshelves in our cramped apartment devoted to paints, men with little guns, and armored aliens. It means all of this to me. But of course so much more to my husband. With my husband's discovery of Dark Sphere, it means that he can now complete his army and get 25% off. Not only does that make him happy, that makes me happy too! Because that 25% in savings usually means treating me out to a nicely deserved weekly dinner for being a very tolerant wifey! When I went in there the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. Which is definitely more than I can say for their Cambridge store in the Great Arcade!! There's a great range of gaming consoles and games, both new and secondhand. And to entice you back, the company has a loyalty card scheme where you get credits towards your next purchase each time you buy something in the store. Which means that what you end up paying often ends up being a lot cheaper than what you thought it would be. Bonus!
