Copies if the Newmarket Journal are out every Thursday to buy…read more As a local newspaper, sometimes this one fails miserably, by filling its pages with either news from other towns close by, or filling it with useless adverts. I suppose this may mean Newmarket doesnt always have much news to report, but there have been known big stories going round that havent been mentioned in the paper and instead lots of useless adverts in! When they do get the communitys news right, the journalists do a great job in their reports, and they have excellent photographers who cover the stories well. The Journal would be much more improved if they spent more time printing stories from more locally instead of going further afield.

Its a small shop, with lots of books and displays crammed in, making it a tight squeeze sometimes. All the books are catagorised into genres, and they are well marked out so easy to find. At the back of the shop is where all the childrens books are, as well as the small amount of DVD's and CD's they stock. The top end of the shop is where all the adults books are, as well as the huge range of magazines and newspapers. The store is well looked after, the book shelves and displays are kept well arranged and neat. Staff are very helpful and are friendly and polite
