Really flexible hours of operation, open late many nights of the week, and there are constantly events occuring here. They have a fairly large, well-lit, and clean gaming space in the back. If they don't have what you're looking for they'll gladly order it for you and give you a call when it comes in. The guys who work there are all very nice and very knowledgeable. The first time I came, I was still fairly new to tabletop gaming so I wasn't sure what to get. I had my eyes set on Agricola but after talking to the associate I realized I wasn't ready for such a heavy euro game just yet. The associate asked us what we liked and then basically went through their entire collection with us, pointing out and explaining various games that he thought would appeal to us. You don't get customer service like that anymore! All the games are also much cheaper than you would find at Chapters or Mastermind Games. They've also got tons of other nerd stuff like comic books, figurines, and superhero paraphernalia. The store is located in the back of the plaza so it's difficult to find if you don't know where to look.

So also host tournaments and seem to be active in terms of collectors so I'd give them props for that. A lot of things can be done better though....mainly the slightly messy organization of the store. It's not too large so I would expect it to be better done. The prices are also quite disappointing. Started collecting hockey cards, checked the prices here and then at other places and it's clear that they don't really sell bargains. The older products which usually go on clearance at other places like Walmart or online or other card stores seem to be above regular price too. Nice place to go to for people who play rather than collect or to pick up a general box set or something but for most things, you'll probably find them cheaper online or at eBay.

Owner / Proprietor, Luigi goes 'above and beyond' on repairs for specialty electronics…read more I have a Gameboy G1 specially modded to make chiptunes, sent to me as a gift. After some years of use, the screen went-out and one of the springs in the battery compartment corroded due to a leaky Energizer. I got quotes in the hundreds for repair at various places. On a lark, I asked Luigi at Nerdgasm for a quote and he said to bring the device by for a consult, issued a ticket and said to leave with him for review. Because the device is rare and niche, to say the least, he took his time because he wanted to be careful and examine it properly in case of any other issues. Aging electronics require caution. Luigi took personal interest in the device and suggested a compelling ballpark figure, pricewise. The upshot: spring was replaced and the screen was updated to a modern variant with a lot of added cool features not in the original. The price was in the double digits, well within my budget. While Luigi is not quick with older, rare devices, (because he is cautious), the end result is worth the wait with modest pricing. If you have some rare special electronics where care and attention to detail supersedes speed, Luigi at Nerdgasm is your first consult.

They confirmed that they did and had the books ready for pickup when I arrived. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The store is situated an older former home in downtown Brampton that has been rezoned for commercial use - along with a few other businesses nearby. There is a reasonably large parking lot in behind.
