I highly recommend the "1 egg breakfast" if you're tight on cash; it comes with two eggs ironically, a generous portion of hash browns, and your choice of 2 small pancakes or Texas toast. My husband & I eat at Galvan's about once a week. We are very happy with the food, service & atmosphere. The only thing that keeps me from giving it 5 stars is that some of the prices are a bit higher than we feel they should be, such as the stir fry prices & some of the salads. As for the lady complaining because they were asked to leave after an hour & a half, she probably doesn't realize that the wait staff usually are given a set number of tables each to take care of & they rely on the tips they receive from the people that occupy those tables. Someone taking an hour & a half keeps others from occupying that table & therefore the waiter/waitress is losing the tip money that they so much rely on. I agree with the other reviewer - if I could give zero stars, I would. I really like the staff at Galvan's, so this review is hard to write. The service has always been good here. The one thing to remember, if you must eat here, is, unless you specify which booth or table you'd like to sit at, you will be seated at a less than optimal spot. So tell them where you want to sit - the regulars do this all the time, and you will get a decent spot. The food is greasy, low quality diner food. Confusing too - on the menu 'one egg' means TWO. So if you order two eggs over easy, you will get FOUR eggs. When is an egg not an egg? When you are at Galvans, an egg is two eggs! They boast their home made jam, which is nothing more than a sweet flavored goo. It is not quality at all. Huge portions for little money. I'd rather pay a little bit more, get smaller portions that are of better quality. They do not make any of their desserts - those are delivered in to Galvans. The Queen Bee is a better place for breakfast - smaller restaurant, the owner does the cooking in small batches. At Queen Bee, one egg is one egg. If you want more, you can order more, but at least you know what you're getting. read more

Awesome Breakfast!! If you leave hear hungry you did something wrong! I had the Gyro Omelet with Hash browns and Biscuits and gravy so so good! The menu was very well laid out and had something for everyone for breakfast lunch and dinner. The waitstaff was very nice and on top of things. Definitely coming back again! read more

Always wanted to try this place when in Appleton, today finally able to do so and for sure there will be many more stops. I ordered the gyro dinner, with Athenian salad and a bowl of chicken dumpling soup all being awesome. My overall assessment is; food was very tasty, portions were bountiful, prices competitive and service was excellent. read more

Had an awful experience at Galvan's today. Ordered Becky's omelet without mushrooms. Stressed that there should be no mushrooms. Got an omelet with mushrooms. Sent it back. When the server returned with a new omelet*, she said the cook had known there were mushrooms in the first one and had tried - without success - to pick them out. Always reassuring to know someone has been picking through your food! Well, I took a forkful of the new* omelet and found--mushrooms! I sent it back and told the server to forget about breakfast for me. Moments later, a different server comes to the table with the omelet and starts telling me there were no mushrooms in it--only pieces of sausage. I know what mushrooms look like! My husband, who eats mushrooms, had even eaten one from my omelet. I asked the server to leave our table and got up to find a manager, only to encounter the second server talking to the cook about my omelet and that I was really seeing sausage, not mushrooms. I asked another employee to speak to the manager and was told he "stepped out," usually code for "there's no one in charge." We have gone to Galvan's about once a month for breakfast; they lost us as customers today. *And I am not convinced that I received a new second omelet at all; perhaps more picking out of mushrooms on the part of the cook? read more

We have eaten at Galvan's many times; but just the other week we stopped for breakfast and we were sitting a long time to have our order taken, with a waitress that we had problems before with slow service. So we asked another waitress going by if she could take our order. Our slow waitress became upset that we didn't want her for a waitress. On the way out we were asked "what the problem was" so we told the partial owner (Linda) the problem. She then came out in the parking lot, as we were leaving, and said it probably would be best if we didn't come back. So, patrons, don't say you don't like anything in this restaurant because you will probably be told that it would be best if you didn't come back!!!!! read more

Great service. Omelet was awesome. Waffles were great. Filled my coffee without asking. Easy to find.

I had a breakfast skillet, and the wife had eggs Benedict. Both were very good. When they ask, get the biscuits as your side. Light fluffy, and the sausage gravy is AWESOME! U can get them as a meal as well. Can't wait to go back and try the country fried steak. read more

I wish I could leave zero stars. Recently my sister-in-law and I had breakfast at Galvan's. We sat down at 9:40 AM and leisurely enjoyed our breakfast and our conversation. At 11:15 AM a man come up to our table; he did not identify himself. He asked if we could please wrap it up and leave in 5 minutes. On this particular morning, they could seat everyone immediately. As we stood up to leave, I commented to my sister-in-law that there were 3 open tables and 2 open booths. We were appalled. read more

Without a doubt the best breakfast in the Fox Valley! The portions were HUGE, the quality was fantasitc and the service we received cannot be matched by another restaurant around here. We will be back again! read more
