Their customer service is the worst. Not only they do not appreciate you as a customer, they also ignore your request. I walked in to request more information to host a baby shower and all I got was a piece of paper with tiny font that you can barely read. The lady did not even show us the rooms available. I have made a deposit for this location on April 2019 for my daughter sweet 16 for this upcoming September.,Due to the pandemic we are facing I had to cancel her party. I have sent numerous email to the management and no one but no one had the time to call me or reply back to my email. The unprofessional person that pick up the call his name is David was very rude and he didn't care about my refund. He stated that was bit his problem. I did explained I wasn't sure how this pandemic is going to be for the fall and I don't want my guest risky themselves trying to celebrate my daughter sweet and get sick. No matter how I explained to him, he was nasty and rude. I have cancelled the party in the beginning of April and we are in June and haven't heard anything from anyone at all. Well her party was cancelled but this location we will not refund my money. Instead they rather give me my deposit in a gift certificate. So before booking make sure this place make sure you get a manager name and email. They believe money grows on trees. The manager (owner's son) is the worst! He out right told me that if I didn't like his attitude it was too bad; he had my deposit and someone else would just book the room so he was not missing out. The food was rushed, literally within an hour the staff was collecting the plates and removing the food (we had buffet style)... This makes me wonder if the food was been used for other parties. Michelle is very nasty she double booked my party, the staff is not very polite, their was hair in the buffet food, the staff when the started setting up the room they were putting the table clothes that I brought over the dirty table clothes from the party prior, They told me I would have 1 hour to setup the room and there was another party going on still in that room till about 420 pm, I did not have time to set up my party on time and the customer service was horrible. I am extremely disappointed with Galloping Hill Caterers management in regards with their policy. It is clearly and they have showed me, that they are not willing to work out with their customers. Words cannot describe how upsetting is the situation how they do not care and value their customers, they are not compassionate is only about their business and money. Due to the deadly Coronavirus our daughter's Communion had to be cancelled followed by the state law regulations in regards of inside gatherings. Galloping Hill Caterers have refused to reimbursed my deposit back. They do not care and understand the situation the Communion had to be cancelled. I do not want expose my family and friends to get sick and die. We are all going to hardships and struggles. The DJ and the photographer reimbursed my deposit back, right away since the Communion is not going to happen. The customer is always right, either way Galloping Hill Caterers cannot host the event they cannot provide the service due to the pandemic and the state regulations. People are getting sick and dying, the state has been emphasizing everyday to keep away 6ft distance, wear a mask and no inside gatherings. I HIGHLY discourage anyone from using these caterers. There is no elevator in the facility and they do not have personnel to help with transport of items. Furthermore, the lady that corresponded with me was not nice. She made it very difficult to adjust the number of guests, change the menu etc weeks in advance of the event. Finally the day of the event, the short man who is adjacent to the room I was using refused to change the channel from Fox News, even after I informed him that it made my guests uncomfortable. All of the guests are of African American descent, and I hoped that he would be accommodating considering the times we live in. Also was told that I could set up my party at 5pm didn't get to set up until 6:30!!!! when my party started at 7!! I had all my guest rushing around to set up. Had my wedding here May 2015... let's just start from the beginning booked this place Nov 2013 because of the great price and we liked the crystal ballroom. Now although it's a nice place and the food and all our guest loved the food I must say they lack in customer service. My planner was Michelle and although she was nice whenever I met with her on the day of my weeding we had a big problem with other planner(male man, can't remember his name). The day before my wedding I dropped off everything they needed for my wedding (place cards, meal choices, pic of me and groom to hang, and our card box) Michelle told me to sit everything in her office which I did. Now fast forward to my wedding day, my husband is getting calls saying they're not letting anyone in the reception room so I call the venue and speak to the maitre d and he says it's because we didn't drop off the place cards (confused face). I explain to him that I dropped off everything they before and it should be in Michelle's office. He says ok and insure me it'll be handled. When we arrive NOTHING WAS HANDLED! They started letting people in the room but didn't even bother to get the stuff needed for the tables (favors), the seating chart wasn't up, they had the meal choices on the tables thinking it was the place cards, our portrait wp, it was just a complete mess. I asked for Michelle but of course she wasn't there so then I speak with the other planner ( man who I can't remember his name) and he was no help at all. He was so rude and all he cared about was going home. He yelled at me and everything saying it's my fault because I should've bought the stuff and I'm telling him I did its in Michelle's office and they tell me it's not. So I tell him to take me to the office and he says no, my husband steps in and they get into an heated argument because the guy was being such an ass, Antonio the maitre d steps in and takes me to Michelle's office and guess what EVERYTHING WAS THERE! I then say "oh but I thought you guys checked here"?! Now he's looking dumb an apologizes (the maitre d not the asshole) after that Antonio did all he could to make things up. The only reason why I'm giving them 4 stars is because the decor in the crystal ball rooms was beautiful and the they really do give you a lot of food options, the coctail hour alone was enough to fill everyone up. Plus for 5hrs open bar, cocktail hour, wedding cake, 3 course meal, ice sculpture and colored lights the price was only $50pp (sunday wedding). The waiters and maitre d were the best but the bosses suck! Who makes a bride cry on their wedding day?! My family has booked multiple rooms here for years. We just had a repass for my aunt here today and it ran very smoothly. The food very very good and tasty. We had a variety of dishes including chicken, vegetarian, red meat and seafood plus side dishes. Everyone enjoyed the meal and we also had a chocolate cake which was alright. The space was nice and fit 90 but could fit more if needed. There was limited staff some were attentive more than others. I would recommend it as the food was good and the price was good. read more

The space is GORGEOUS, but the service and management are terrible. It's real shame. I came to the space to perform and the event leader directed my group to a bridal room to change. After about 20 minutes a manager of GH came in and told us to "get our stuff and get out." We had no idea about the bridal party, but of course, we were willing to relocate. We would have understood if the manager came in and simply informed us instead of yelling at us like we're children. Guests of the space should be treated with respect equally. I spoke to her manager and he was nice, but dismissive. He said, "I understand, but there's a bridal party coming in." He didn't acknowledge that you don't tell guests to get their stuff and get out. So I got stuck with a 3 tier cake not knowing where to put it until the time of the party. Then during the party the caters threw out these slips we needed in order for the guest to be able to get ice cream (one of our guest ordered an ice cream truck for the party which required a ticket in order to get ice cream). They told us it was our responsibility to hold onto the ticket, it was not their faults for throwing it out. Well, we did leave the tickets on the table so they should have known better and not thrown it out. They began arguing with us claiming that the party was awful anyways and to top it all off they called the cops on us. So absurd!!!!! I recently had a birthday party at The Galloping Hill for my daughter and the food was horrible. The only reason I had a party at The Galloping Hill because I gave my son a 18th birthday party back in 2013 and the food was delicious, so I decided to go back to The Galloping Hill again for my daughter's party. That was a big mistake! The food was totally disgusting! I'm assuming they must have a new chef and they need to fire his ass! Far as management is concern they quote you different prices if want to rent the King & Queen chairs. I was told by Michelle that the chairs were $175 a piece and I told her I had to think about renting the chairs. I turned around a couple of days later and call back and spoke with the Ron the (GM) I believe that is the GM name and he told me the price of the chairs were $150 a piece. I was pissed of because I felt like what was the purpose of Michelle quoting me a higher price???? Then on the day of the event I was told I can have the cake delivered at any time. Well I decided to go pick up the cake myself two hours before the event began. Once I arrive with the cake, I was told that I couldn't drop the cake off until an hour before the event start. I ended up having to take a full size sheet cake back to my house and turning on all the AC in my house to keep the cake cool. My family hosted my bridal shower at Galloping Hill Caterers on Sunday, November 15, 2015. My father played music on speakers using his Samsung tablet. As we were gathering our things to leave, we didn't realize that the table had been stolen, possibly by the people (DJ?) who were setting up for the next party. At the very least, when we realized it and contacted management about it, they could have offered to do some research. In all, the location was lovely, the parking was so-so, then entrance and exit were awkward, the good was good (even thought the person at eh carving table disappeared after ten minutes) but... When we arrived for my sister's party there was absolutely nowhere to park there was 1 handicapped space available. I usually don't write reviews, but this place deserves one. From the moment i reserved this venue for my Bridal shower, i was treated with complete and utter disrespect. To begin with, when me and my mother went to the venue to drop off the final deposit for the event space, we decided to follow up with Michelle, a banquet manager who has been there for 33 years, just to make sure everything was ready for my event. She treated me and my mother with an extremely rude manner, kept interrupting us, tried to shut us up by putting her hand in front of my mothers face, threatened to call the cops and walked out in the midst of us speaking. For someone who has been there for 33 years, she seems to lack in hospitality skills and professionalism and she wasn't the only one. The "wonderful and experienced" Michelle sent us to another manager, Lou, to help us and instead, he turned us away and told her to get out and I quote "argue outside because he has work to do". My event started at 11AM and on the website, the venue states that they open at 10AM. My bridal party was at the venue at 10AM and they would not allow them to go in and set up, not until 1030AM. They gave us half an hour to set up an entire room that's supposed to fill at least 80 people that were arriving at 11AM. The staff has absolutely no idea what they are doing. Guests were arriving and they were still setting up the tables with silverware and decorations, even missing my centerpieces for a few of my tables. For my shower, i paid extra for a maître d' to help assist me and my fiancé with anything that we may need and he was nowhere to be found the entire time. Throughout the bridal shower, the staff was also nowhere to be found. They left dirty plates and empty pitchers on every table, and an hour later when they decided to FINALLY remove the dirty plates, they left them in buckets all around the event space. Disgusting. They provided me with nothing but horrible customer service, unorganized management, as well as complete unprofessionalism. They take pride in operating for over 30 years, however, it is evident that their Banquet staff has learned nothing about hospitality and customer service. It is also evident that you get what you pay for. I paid thousands of dollars for this venue and they charged me $100 extra on the day of my Bridal Shower for a room to get ready in. I would've thought that putting so much money into this event space that they would at least offer a complimentary bridal room to get ready in. They didn't even give us a heads up beforehand to let us know about the extra charge. They caused so much unnecessary stress and frustration that I felt like I wasn't able to enjoy my day without worrying about something else going wrong. I have never dealt with such ill mannered, disrespectful people in my life. Beautiful venue, awful staff. You'd be much better going somewhere else. Do not spend your hard earned money there. Booked this venue for my daughter's bridal shower. We were in the Corinthian Room. The room was absolutely beautiful!! Dealt with Ron during the booking process. He was very helpful and accommodating during our meetings. Michael, our Maitre' D, was extremely helpful before, during, and after our party. The wait staff was very courteous and efficient during our event. The food was delicious! My guests raved about the food that day. Some of my guests have even called me to rave about the food and the venue! Did not have an issue with parking. The only reason I did not give a five star review is because we could hear the music from the event below us and that was a bit annoying. That being said, I would book this venue again. read more

My family and I booked the Galloping Hills for my sisters surprised 40th birthday party this past weekend (01/21/18). I have nothing but excellent things to say. The venue was beautiful. Thanks to Ronnie and (young Joe) everything was EXCELLENT they both went above and beyond. The food, the decor, the ambiance, etc. Ronnie and Joe made our event a hit.
