They have always spoken about how nice everyone is and they even deliver. Well,! I got to experience them first hand last week when I was vacationing in the twin cities. I had underestimated how much Xibram (an anti inflammatory eye drop) I had left. I thought that I found out the hard way that I did not. I called the Medicine Shop, who promptly sprung into action, calling our pharmacy in San Francisco (going back and forth with Long's Drugs to get my prescription transferred and the insurance squared away so that I only had to pay $10.00 instead of the $160.00.) Dan Coski, the owner and pharmacist, was very zealous in squaring everything away. Before I knew it, my drops were ready and I was on my way, one happy, satisfied customer. Everyone is very kind and caring, definitely people persons. They are mainly a pharmacy, as they have a couple shelves of toiletries, compression socks, and other pharmaceutical necessities. They take the time to answer any questions that you may have. So, for friendly, caring, efficient, and knowledgeable service, The Medicine Shop cannot be beat. Keep up the good work Dan and staff.!

I have sent messages to Saint Paul corner drug 3 times over the last two months with no response. So much for "we typically respond within 2-3 days" as it states on their website. The most recent time I went here mid August, I had just been to the allergist and was given a bunch of new medications. I have asthma, food allergies and really bad hay fever, so they were all typical things for that like inhalers, EpiPen, some new pills to try, eyedrops and nasal spray. As she was going through my prescriptions she made some comments that made me very uncomfortable. She stated "wow that's a lot of medications, are you going on vacation or something?" In a very judgmental tone. I've been asked questions by pharmacists before, but I don't think Barb is a pharmacist and she treated me like the medications I was receiving were more than just allergy meds. I also was not going on vacation, I just have bad allergies and asthma. After making the vacation comment and clearly seeing my discomfort, she began telling me about how "I'm so glad I don't have allergies. None of my kids have allergies either." Which additionally made me feel bad and was completely unnecessary. She should not be commenting like this especially after I had to sheepishly tell her "no I'm not going on vacation I just have bad allergies..." Like I said above I tried to resolve this by letting them know the issue I had and how uncomfortable it made me. I haven't heard from anyone after 3 attempts. They also refused to supply me with an EpiPen and told me to go to CVS (which my insurance doesn't even cover), which is life saving medication for me. Barb was very weird about it and even admitted that they would lose money if they supplied it. Admitting this just doesn't sit right with me. Sadly I will never be back. Like I said I really wanted to like this place, they truly need to train their staff on better service.

I had a very disappointing and disrespectful experience with the pharmacist working around 1:10PM…read moreon Tuesday, September 15th. I had just left an appointment with my psychiatrist, who sent my prescription to the CVS on Grand at approximately 11:39 AM. When I arrived at the pharmacy, I checked in and asked how long the wait would be. The pharmacist told me approximately 15 minutes and said I would receive a text when my prescription was ready. Since I had already checked in, I stepped outside to enjoy the weather while I waited. Once I received the text confirming that my prescription was ready, I came back inside and went directly to the pickup counter. The pharmacist then told me that I needed to sign in again because I had stepped away. I questioned why I needed to check in a second time when I had already checked in roughly 20 minutes earlier and had returned specifically because CVS notified me that my prescription was ready. Instead of simply explaining the process professionally, she immediately became confrontational and dismissive. What concerned me most was how quickly the interaction escalated. She threatened to ban me from the pharmacy, told me she would be contacting my psychiatrist, said they would no longer expedite my prescriptions, and told me I would need to find another pharmacy. This was all in response to me questioning why I was required to sign in twice within such a short period of time. At one point, when I tried to reiterate that I had received the notification that my prescription was ready and was simply there to pick it up, she responded, "Can I finish my sentence?" in an unnecessarily hostile and condescending tone. I understand that pharmacy staff have procedures they need to follow, and I have no issue following a legitimate policy. My concern is the way this situation was handled. There was no reason a simple question about the check-in process needed to escalate into threats of banning me, contacting my psychiatrist, refusing expedited service, and telling me to find another pharmacy. I expect a pharmacist, particularly someone dealing with patients and prescription medications, to communicate professionally and respectfully even when there is a disagreement or misunderstanding. I found her behavior unnecessarily confrontational, inappropriate, and completely inconsistent with the level of professionalism I would expect from CVS pharmacy staff. I would like this interaction reviewed by CVS management and would appreciate clarification regarding whether requiring a patient to check in again after briefly stepping away is actually CVS policy, as well as whether the statements made to me about banning me, contacting my prescriber, refusing expedited prescriptions, and requiring me to find another pharmacy are consistent with CVS policy.

I still can't get to the closest Walgreens before it closes. I try going before the game. Sometimes, it's nice to go shopping afterwards. It was December 27. I wanted to find a 24-hour Walgreens on my way back to the hotel. I did a search and found this one. Perfect! After the Wild won their game against the Red Wings, I left Xcel Energy Center and drove over to this Walgreens. It was a quiet drive. This drugstore has a parking lot. I backed into a spot and walked in. Since it was post-Christmas, there were sales happening. I saw everything from Christmas plushies, to a lot of holiday candy and chocolates reduced in price. It was nice. I saw the cutest roll of Grogu Christmas wrapping paper. He looked so adorable in a Santa hat. It was also reduced in price. I was here to get nail polish remover. I had thought that I had packed some nail polish remover pads with me. I couldn't find them. Instead, I found a small box of ten nail polish remover pads. They were exactly what I needed. I decided to get a bottle of nail polish. I went with Essie. There was a sale happening. There wasn't a huge lineup while I was here. I got a nice man who was cheerful. I paid for my items with a credit card. I also entered my phone number to get rewards. Done! I thanked him and left with my items. I grabbed some takeout before I returned to my hotel room. The nail polish remover pads worked well. I used them a couple of times. I like that they travel well as opposed to getting a bottle. The Essie polish was also great. The brush bristles stayed intact. I got the quick-drying version and it lived up to its name. I was impressed. I didn't get a top coat. If I did, my nail polish would have looked more pristine. I am rough with my nails. When I travel, the aftermath of my polished nails look unsightly... haha! This Walgreens is a gem. I love the hours. It had everything that I needed. Terrible experience with the worst customer service! Actually NO customer service!…read more The pharmacy will not pick up phone calls! Left me on hold for approximately one hour and continue to just put me on hold. I never even got through to the pharmacist with my question! I spoke to store employee, but they were not willing to help me. They only said they could transfer me to the pharmacy. It's sad, but this is what it has come to in regards to customer service. This is beginning to be the norm, unfortunately.

After I had arrived in the Twin Cities, and had fetch my luggage and rental vehicle, I needed to get some drinks. I did a search and found this Walgreens by the hotel that I'd be staying at. It didn't take long to get here from MSP airport. There were lots of parking spots. I backed into an available spot and walked in. The beauty section greeted me when I walked in. I liked seeing nail care. I ended up getting a two-pack of nail clippers by Olive & June. I like the nail accessories that this company makes. I got a couple of 2 L bottles of pop. I also got two packages of Pepperidge Farm cookies. M&M's has a bakery collection out. This store didn't have it. However, it had caramel M&M's pop'd. It has a cookie component that's freeze-dried. I lined up at the checkout. I got a woman at the checkout who noticed that one of my Pepperidge Farms cookies had expired. It was a bummer, as it was the white chocolate macadamia nut cookies. I went to swap it out for dark chocolate Milano cookies. I then let the woman know that there was another package of white chocolate macadamia nut cookies that had expired. I realize that there are a ton of products in this drugstore. I felt that the tone of her voice made me feel like it was my fault for picking up an expired box. She didn't say anything when I let her know about the second box. I then said that both need to be removed from the shelf. She finally acknowledged that they would be. It was weird. I appreciated that she noticed the expiration date, but it was the delivery that wasn't the best. I entered my phone number associated with my rewards at Walgreens. I got some savings applied. My receipt was sent to my inbox. She bagged my items. I thanked her and carried my goods to my rental vehicle. The toenail clippers work nicely. I like the silicone grips. The clippers are effective and safe. The caramel M&M's pop'd snacks are so good. They are a bit expensive getting a bag for $9. They are worth treating yourself to a bag. It's a decent drugstore. I went to this pharmacy for about three months simply because it was the closest pharmacy to my house. I tolerated the issues I had with them for a while, but eventually my patience broke. The pharmacist, Jeff, is easily in of the top five most rude people I have ever encountered. His attitude makes it seem like me getting prescriptions filled at his pharmacy is a hassle for him. On top of that, whenever I ask a question about a medication (I don't have a pharmacy degree like him, obviously), he makes me feel incredibly stupid for not knowing the answer to the question I asked. The day I stopped going there, I went in to get a refill that they said was ready when I called. Whenever I got to the counter, they told me that the doctor needed to verify that I could receive it. I was in the process of asking whether I needed to call my doctor or if he did, and he cut me off and said (in a very irritated and stuck-up tone of voice), "Obviously I'M not going to call 'YOUR doctor for you," and turned his back on me. There were so many other ways he could have said in that situation, but that is how he chose to handle my question. This store didn't carry it. My landed in the Twin Cities to a heatwave. It was 30°C. It was sad to see that all coolers that kept milk and drinks cold weren't working. Ugh! I had the nicest female staffer help cash me out. I paid with a credit card. Using a Canadian credit card prompts the payment system to ask whether you want to pay in USD or CAD. I always go with the latter and have the credit card figure out the exchange rate. I also have Walgreens rewards, so I entered my phone number associated with it. I have opted to get a digital receipt, which goes to my inbox and reduces paper. I thanked the woman who bagged my drinks. I carried them to my vehicle and continued on with my day. They give you a receipt that says zero. You call your doctor to find out why the 2nd prescription comes and you find all this out WAY TOO LATE. The communication is abismal. You stand in line to be told it's not ready yet. You wait for sometimes over 20 minutes then they say it's ready but you have to wait in line AGAIN to pick it up.

Last night I watched a number of commercials for CVS & Minute Clinics. "Open 24 Hours a day" it said. I've had a total of 3.5 to 4 hours of sleep over the past two nights, so I'll take the hit for missing the small print that says "at participating CVS Stores". I wait until about 6:30 and ask my husband to skip his breakfast and take me there. after all, it's not very far, and in my current state, I didn't feel safe driving myself. We get there, but the doors are locked. Just then, two employees got out of their cars. One shouted "We'll be open in 5 minutes". By the time she got that out, we were both approaching the door, so I asked 'What time does the Minute Clinic open?" she responded "oh, we don' have one of those here yet. The closest one is in Eagan. They open at 7:30. So, now we drove 10 miles to Eagan. It's just before 7:30 & I'm the first one in line. The terminal says "tap to start", which I do. I get a message that says "Sorry, we're closed right now"(at least it has manners and said it was sorry... I'll take what I can get!) and it gives a list of hours. They open at 9:00 AM!!!
