5/5 -- A Hidden Gem Fueled by Faith and Great Coffee!…read more A few weeks back, I was riding my motorcycle through Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula on a trip from Maryland and stopped overnight in Munising. The next morning, I went searching for some good coffee and came across Rustic Grounds Coffee Trailer. As I looked over the menu, I saw a variety of great options and asked if I could make a small tweak to one of their specialty lattes -- no hesitation, no problem, they made it happen! When I took that first sip... wow. Smooth, balanced, and genuinely one of the best lattes I've had. I've traveled all over the world, and this little coffee trailer easily holds its own among my favorite stops. Top 10? Maybe not, but definitely my top favorite in the UP! (I'm originally from the UP, born and raised in.) While enjoying my drink, I noticed the cup had the outline of Michigan's Upper Peninsula with the words "Fueled by Jesus & Coffee." That made me smile. Then I saw the T-shirts hanging on a wall by the side of the trailer featuring Bible verses and faith-inspired designs -- such a great touch! This place is more than just a coffee stop; it's a reflection of love, faith, and community. If you're ever in Munising and want amazing coffee while supporting a small, family-owned, Christian business -- Rustic Grounds is absolutely the place to go. Not my kind of thing but if you're into a less sweet drink I would recommend it, he really liked it! We also each got breakfast pies which were also really yummy and filling. I just got 2 different IPA's, A Speedball Tucker and an Old Tru's. Both were solid. They had a food trailer outside but it was closed when we went. I did see a couple bring in a pizza from across the street so I assume they are cool with outside food. Seems like a solid place to hang and have a beer for the locals.
