They have a few different art showcases a year (I think they change it out every few months) but they have space upstairs for artists to rent out and work on their own stuff. It was super cool to get a tour of that area of the building because there are so many talented artists in Milwaukee. I am excited for the resident artists to have their show so I can hopefully purchase some of their work -- That is how impressive it was! I think there is a 5 dollar encouraged donation, which is super cheap to see some great art, but again it is just suggested. The staff is very knowledgeable about the space, art and purpose. We picked Creative Enterprises based on strong reviews and wanting to support local. They are definitely experts here and can frame just about anything including memorabilia. The selection of styles was really impressive too. We got very good advice on what to use for materials and matting and while the price was not for the faint of heart, the quality is very high and I know it will last. I would have wished for a little more proactive communication in terms of completion (I had to call a few times for updates) but I'm very happy with the work they did. My poster looks incredible and I would definitely use them again.

I arrived quite late, about fifteen minutes prior to closing, but Sandy and John couldn't have been more helpful in assisting me in determining the most appropriate frame for my photography project. They stayed open later than their posted hours to accommodate me, and you don't find service like that so commonly today. One thing I've come to appreciate about the team at CE is their acumen for matching the perfect frame and matte within the context of the composition. The proper frame transforms one's work into something quite extraordinary. Trust them--they've been doing this for a long time, and it shows!

From what I have seen, the work is perfect and the prices are very good. Art supplies--go here for Windsor & Newton watercolors!! Even the Series 4 (the most expensive) paints were REALLY reasonably priced! They also have sheets of watercolor and printmaking paper, well priced sketchbooks, paintbrushes. I found a rather exotic specialty watercolor brush that I didn't even know existed...and I've consumed a lot of art supplies. John/Jon is the guy that has generally been there and helped me. If you talk to him you will find him kind and funny. I wish more artists knew about this place and supported it. It's a gem.
