Also, if you are so intoxicatedly inclined, they serve their long islands in 22 oz beer mugs filled to the top with booze; definitely not for the light weight. Last year they had butterfly shrimp that was amazing. Also of note, the husband/wife owners are fans of U-M and State respectively and the bar is pretty much decked out half and half. Kind of kitschy?

Ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and liked it. The chicken breast was large and tender, which is mostly what you're looking for in this item. I washed down the bird with large draft of Two Hearted. Oberon was on offer too, and I saw a fair selection of craft brews in cans/bottles behind the bar, so if like me you suffer from beer snob tendencies, you won't feel left out here. Service was personable and efficient. I come to the Grayling/Roscommon area often and will probably work this into the rotation.

This is where you go when you are in the area. The current owners have made some updates and changes these past few years and all for the better. They even have their own named micro-brewed beer on tap. You gotta love a bar with knotty pine walls, cold PBR in cans, Kessler's behind the bar, and an ample supply of Cajun picked eggs for the late night snack.

No IPAs on tap so be prepared to get over it. Oberon or Sam Adam's Cherry Wheat or a Shandy are next likely bests. After reading prior reviews, I intentionally met Sam and have to say that she was in a good mood and was helpful and attentive. I think you should come in and see for yourself too. I don't, but you can play the lotteries or Keno here. My husband and I both ordered one of the daily specials, veal parmesan. It came with a good side salad. (See the pictures.) The entree was fresh, hot and plenty for the money. The garlic toast was delicious too. Not your standard bar food!
