And another mini room dedicated to puzzles for all ages, jigsaw puzzles organized by age level and number of pieces, as well as mechanical puzzles and brain teasers. I was able to find a 100-piece glitter puzzle featuring unicorns and rainbows, perfect for my niece's bday. Staff was hard to find, roaming around the store blending in with customers wandering the aisles. But once the employee saw me waiting at the front counter, he helped grab my selected puzzle off a top shelf and the purchase process was quick and easy. I had about a year…read moreof violin lessons in high school, but after a long break I started lessons with Jim and have now been studying with him for about a year. I would say he's a great fit for you if you have some experience (it doesn't have to be much) with the instrument and if you also like to be proactive with work outside what is given to you. He is always positive, encouraging, and never makes you feel discouraged if you haven't practiced as much as you'd hoped. I usually only manage one or two hours of practice each week, but I still feel like I'm making steady progress. He has a wide variety of music to match different interests and likes to get you playing music right away. He makes learning the violin enjoyable and approachable. I can see myself progressing with him for many years. I highly recommend him!

I was thinking of renting a guitar for the first time...and, honestly...I felt that they were really passionate about what they do. They educated me about the instrument, how to properly clean and store it. Although I came in at a busy time, the staff were friendly, very encouraging and they boosted my confidence with the instrument that I'm thinking of renting. When I was inside the store, I was just a bit sad that some families are taking advantage of them, I overheard a family who were entitled for a discount for a repair...when in hindsight, They never bought the instrument at the store in the first place. I guess they just bought a cheaper instrument online and now they realized it's not working properly. The family was so rude to the staff the entire time and demanded the instrument to be repaired immediately. I was shocked. Is this the new norm for the tri valley community? If we don't get want we want, they throw a fit at the store? The staff was still friendly to the family, offered some guidance and gave them some options...but still, it wasn't enough. I praised the staff on handling that situation...that's when I knew, they have my business for life. The next day, we phoned the speaker manufacturer and they told us to go to Guitar Center to have them replaced at no cost, as they were still within the warranty period. We figured there was no way it could be that simple, but it was. When we got to Guitar Center, Sidney (the manager) swapped out the old speakers for brand new ones, no questions asked. No call and no one answered the phone so I went in Sunday afternoon to get it. It was sitting in a store room untouched. The front desk said the repair guy is not in again until Tuesday but promised me a call with an update. Again NO CALL and no answer when trying to avoid a 20 min drive to the store just to check in. Why can't anyone answer the phone?! Day 5 of them having the guitar, Drove in again Tuesday night to check on the guitar. Jack was still loose, worse than before and totally unplayable now and no evidence of it getting restrung. Took my guitar and left. What a joke, what do you pay your repair guy to actually do? Guitar is now in worse shape than when I took it in since he loosened the jack even more to inspect it. Thanks for damaging my guitar. I would call and report this to a manager but again, no one answers the phone. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!

It will not get better even if they remodeled as it's just a sad space among all their future classrooms.

Regarding whether you should get a music teacher, my experience is that I progressed much faster, maybe twice as much, because a teacher pushes you to do the things you need to do, but hate doing, in order to improve, e.g., tempo, theory. Put another way, you spend much more time practicing and much less time noodling.

We started our piano journey at another local music program and ended up leaving in search of something more structured, organized, and thoughtful about music learning. What we have found with Ms. Rimma has been that and much more. The program, which is her brainchild, is rigorous but not without reason or results. Ms. Rimma has a passion for teaching and a deep understanding of music and how best it should be taught. Her music program is layered, structured, and holistic and she is very professional, direct, and skilled. We have 3 children in her program and each of them learn very differently. She applies the same thorough curriculum to them all but is nuanced and individual in her teaching where it matters. Within the first few months at Radayeva Music Studio we saw a big difference in our children's understanding of music and their ability to perform it. Like many skills, it requires dedication, practice, and homework but it is paying off. Our children are very happy and, most importantly, they are proud of themselves.
