I made a stop here for a quick bite on my way to Richmond. I travel a lot for work and stop in many little coffee shops In VA and DC. Coffee - very impressed with my drink! It was delicious and the espresso tasted perfect. It was light on the milk and impactful on the flavor. Sandwich - looks super unassuming but it was absolutely delicious. Everything had the right proportions and was cooked perfectly. Service - they were very friendly and I got my food super quick with can be a toss up at little mom and pop shops. I was very happy! Definitely worth a stop in this quaint little town.

Cute little cafe. They use canned chicken for the chicken salad so that's disappointing.

When you walk in there's a counter and stools, not many tables, the place is small and needs a little updating. It was Father's Day and the wait was long. Our waitress was great, knowledgeable of the menu, made good recommendations. I had the shrimp and grits which was good but too spicy for me. Steak and eggs were good, not tough at all. I would return to try other items on the menu

Our bartender/server was Lashone and she was funny, fast and friendly! She was pouring drinks for the ENTIRE restaurant and didn't miss a beat!! The breakfast menu is small but everything sounded fantastic. I chose the Steak Tacos; my husband chose the brie and bacon frittata (added by the chef since the quiche was sold out. Steak tacos were delicious (see pic). Menu said they had steak, cheesy scrambled eggs, tomato salsa, breakfast potatoes and cilantro. I didn't see or taste any potatoes, but the tacos were still delicious! I'd only recommend draining the salsa through a sieve because of the excess juice affecting the integrity of the tortilla. My husband's frittata was awful. The eggs were dry; he compared them to "eggs at the bottom of the warming tray at a cheap breakfast buffet." The chef also served a side salad alongside. My husband asked about subbing potatoes and Ms. Lashone made it happen. She was the star of our brunch: drinks were delicious, the conversational quips were quick and funny. She was attentive without being intrusive and made sure we felt welcomed and taken care of. 5 stars for her and my food; 1 for the frittata. I don't want to average it and tank the rating. We'll be back soon to see Lashone!

Lenny's is a small family style restaurant serving breakfast and lunch. I had their delicious ham steak breakfast and Carol had their Turkey and Swiss sandwich. All in all, it was a good breakfast experience and a chance to spend quality time with some good friends. I'd like to return one day for lunch as the burgers and fries looked pretty darn good.

Their menu was quite large, with hot dogs, cold subs, hot sandwiches, and paninis listed. They also feature a couple soups daily. When we went, they had a loaded baked potato soup and a lobster bisque. The young girl working the front was very happy and helpful and gave some good suggestions too. The place is quaint, with several tables and lots of historic signs on the walls. We started with their baked potato soup - The overall flavor was nice. But the potatoes in it were rubbery, like they used the wrong type of potato or maybe over-cooked it. Also, the soup was just warm, far from being served hot. Next up were the sandwiches - I chose the BBQ chicken sandwich, which had thinly sliced chicken breast on it, along with BBQ sauce, mayo, and onions. The sandwich was pressed, like a panini and was pretty good. I liked the smokiness of the BBQ sauce. I also got a bottle of their homemade root beer and it was pretty good. They serve Route 11 potato chips, which are my favs! So, I had to pick up a bag of Mama Zuma for later - those things are spicey, hot, and tasty! Overall, it's a nice spot, I can see them being a popular lunch spot downtown.
