Strawberry, Banana Nutella Crepe

First off....WOW THIS IS AMAZING. This is a small business that is family run, by the sweetest family ever. The menu prices are extremely fair for all items. The portion sizes are amazing as well. The service was top notch and could not be beat! For only opening up two weeks ago this is the BEST place around and I will be back there is no question about that! If you are looking for some homemade food, with the reassurance of family values you have it here! Go try it for yourself!

The food is overpriced. The dessert was spicy hot. I couldn't eat it. They do not have a license to serve alcohol beverages.

I ate here for Mother's Day with my family and it was lovely. Clean, great service, and noticeably fresh food.

We miss it because we used to have a Balkan restaurant near our home but it closed down. Not all the pastries were up our alley but the coffee alone is worth a trip. Can't wait to return!

My wife and I were running errands on the Martin Luther King Jr holiday, and we decided to take a…read morebreak and have some lunch. As usual, my wife started looking for a place we haven't been before. Having been in Fredericksburg now for almost 2 1/2 years, the list of such places is getting shorter. We were out Route 3 west of 95, and she found a place called Affogato Europa Cafe. It's a family-run cafe and bakery featuring pastries, sandwiches, coffees, and lots of other sweets. It was a very clean, friendly looking place. We looked at the menu and my wife decided to have a Beef and Onion Burek, which is a traditional Balkan flaky pastry filled with, in this case, beef and onions. It was fantastic. Very flavorful and the pastry melted in your mouth. I'm a sucker for anything with the word "breakfast" in it. I had the Balkan Breakfast Panini. This marvelous sandwich contains egg, chorizo, cheese spread, provolone, tomato, and arugula. It was outstanding and the chorizo was very tasty (though a bit hard to bite through). I know I love a sandwich when after I put the last bite in my mouth, I feel a little sad because it is all done. Such was the case here. My wife had a Cortado espresso, which she loved but was a bit strong for me. I had a London Fog, which seemed like a latte with a hint of Earl Gray tea. I loved it, and when my wife tasted it she pronounced it "nummy". She doesn't use that word a lot so when she does I know she loves it. After lunch we split a Lava Cake, which is a small but decadent chocolate cupcake. The dining room was small but comfortable. The servers we encountered at the counter were very friendly. Rest room was very clean. It's not really close to us, but when were shopping out on Route 3, we'll certainly try them again.

The surrounding area has plenty of Mexican restaurants but this Honduran restaurant brings Central American flavor to the table (pun intended!). The menu is pretty extensive and they serve pretty much all the traditional dishes from breakfast to dinner (they're open 6AM to 9PM). Some dishes are only available certain days of the week, so be sure to ask if your pick is available when you visit. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and brought menus right away. Mr. Marvin, who is the owner's husband, took our drink order and even brought us a little appetizer on the house (tostones with pico de gallo). As an appetizer, we had "pastelitos," which are akin to beef empanadas. Pastelitos (3x order) are deep fried and filled with diced potato and ground beef. They are served with slaw and a side of salsa. Delicious. For our entrees we had the Bandeja Paisa (a platter of various Colombian dishes including chicharrón (pork rind/crackling), chorizo, rice, beans, avocado, and plantain. This is the way to go if you're hungry. We also had the enchiladas (2x order), which are essentially a fried tortilla with ground beef topped with slaw, a tomato slice, hard boiled egg, and grated cheese. They are large, so two enchiladas is plenty. Very authentic and with plenty of flavor. So good! The restaurant offers fresh natural juices and soft drinks. They also have a number of Honduran desserts (check out the "Others" part of the menu) and, on the other side of the restaurant, they also sells smoothies, crepes, waffles, and snack food (sisters business called Chile Mango). The restaurant's ambiance is very lively, staff is friendly and attentive, and food came out quickly. We can't wait to return for breakfast and definitely plan on being regulars!!
