Just discovered this brand new spot and I'm already obsessed! They make their gelato in-house and you can really taste the difference. It is so creamy, rich, and flavorful. I tried the Dubai chocolate pistachio and mascarpone Nutella... 11/10. They also serve coffee, boba, and desserts, so there's something for everyone. The place is sparkling clean, the vibe is super cozy, and the prices? Honestly amazing, especially for the quality. The owner is the sweetest human ever! She made us feel so welcome. Definitely support this local gem before the lines get long because trust me, they will.

Sunday morning, heading home from Baltimore after the Springboks vs All Blacks match. Needed real…read morefuel and stopped at Peet Stafford. Food: bacon-and-egg sandwiches and bagels that actually delivered. We cleaned the plates. Coffee was proper. Service: friendly staff, fast, no fuss. Restroom was spotless. Ambiance: cozy little stop, plants everywhere, easy place to sit and reset after the drive. Prices were fair. Glad we pulled in. Would stop again.

Three of us went for lunch here for the first and last time on a Tuesday. There was one couple…read morealready eating. No one was at the counter in front of us. The young woman at the till didn't greet us or interact with us. Do we seat ourselves? Order at the counter? No direction from the woman. When we finally figured out we were supposed to order at the counter, "Ms. Personality" acted like we were bothering her as we ordered burgers, bags of chips, and drinks from the cooler. All three of us asked for no cheese. It took an inordinately long time to get the burgers. The very sweet grill cook delivered them. Two of us felt bad for her and did not return the burgers that came with cheese. The third person in the party did. She (very good-naturedly) returned to the grill, where a loud, whispered discussion ensued about whether we had asked for cheese. My friend and I ate the burgers. They were generic frozen patties, not ground beef. Considering the price, this was not only disappointing, but outrageous. Ms. Personality apparently clocked out while we waited for our food, so maybe she was ready to leave when we came in. As she was leaving, we noticed she wore a T-shirt that said something about "a$$holes." Not exactly customer-service-oriented or professional. Between the attitude, food quality, price, and wait time, go across the road (literally) to Widewater Grille unless it's a Monday or Tuesday when they are closed. (The French toast is HEAVEN!) In that case, just drive another 8 minutes into Garrisonville and go to Chili's. Or Five Guys. Or McDonald's. Much more worth the time and money. Cross-posting.

This place is a hidden gem right off Hwy 1/Jefferson Davis. The brewery is a micro or pico brewery,…read moreand the selection is top notch here here. My favorite is their Double Tap Belgian Dubbel. It's also awesome that it's attached to a Homebrew supply shop, so if you have ever wondered if you can brew beer (you can. don't be so silly as to doubt yourself, you super capable person, you) this is the place to get your supplies and learn. The only downside is they close at 6. So if you drive down 95 or Hwy 1, stop on your commute and have a beer. Let the traffic die down and then head home.

We were here earlier than usual (10:30 am, don't judge me for drinking before noon!!!) and we're the only customers. It's uniquely located at a camp ground, but parking is a bit limited. The tasting room is small but has amble seating. There was a piano in the tasting room and no one was at the tasting room when we entered. My daughter who is a beginner pianist, wanted to play. Since there were no signs on the piano that forbid people touching, she went ahead and played. Then an older gentleman came in and told us in a stern tone that the piano is not for playing. He was not friendly at all and even after we apologized and ordered a flight for sampling, he still was not engaging. I'm not sure if he is the brew master or just someone works for the campsite store, but he didn't seem too happy to be there. We had the 2 stouts, an Amber, and pilsner on tap for our flight. They were all just OK. We didn't want to order more because his attitude and the sense that we were not welcomed there... Which was too bad because it was a nice space with plenty of outdoor seating, a playground in the back for kids to play while parents enjoy some refreshing beer. We will most likely not go back again given the cold-shoulder treatment.

As a big bubble tea fan, I'm always on the lookout for new spots, so I decided to check this place…read moreout when I was nearby. Location: It's tucked inside a small strip mall, so it can be easy to miss. There's parking available in the front, as well as some spots in the back, though you'll need to walk around to the front if you park back there. Inside: The shop is quite small. There's a table for two awkwardly placed in the middle, surrounded by shelves stocked with snacks, as well as a couple of order kiosks. They also have a printed menu, but I tend to prefer checking out pictures or more detailed descriptions when deciding on a drink. Service: The staff was very friendly! The two women who helped me were welcoming, and when I asked about the place, they pointed out the owner, who was also nice. The girl who took my order was super helpful in walking me through the process. Drinks: They offer three sizes: small, regular, and bucket size. You can also add boba or flavored poppers for an additional 80 cents. I ordered the Mi Amore, and it was delicious and refreshing! Overall: I would definitely recommend this spot. They have a solid selection of drinks, and the service is warm and helpful. My only gripe is the ordering process and the use of kiosks (I prefer a more traditional, visual menu). Also, seating is limited both inside and outside, so this is definitely a place to grab your drink to-go.

They are quite busy, this shop. I had stopped by on a day when they only had one barista and a long…read moreline waiting for their orders or to place orders. They didn't have a lot of room in there, but they do have more than just boba, tea and other drinks. They a variety of snacks, too. Besides that, they also have 2 kiosks you can order from so the barista doesn't have to take it if they're busy- which is nice and convenient. I ordered a Mi Amor drink without any toppings. I reduced the ice and sweetness level, which is a normal for me. The drink was okay. It's very middle of the line drink. I would love to come back and try other drinks on the menu because the barista was really friendly and patient despite being the only one working during an unexpectedly busy day- definitely something I appreciated.
