Abner's has a pretty big selection of ice cream, and it all looks amazing. We struggled to decide and took maybe 2-3 minutes. My daughter sampled their cookie monster ice cream and I sampled a variation of chocolate I believe. Both girls working appeared visibly bothered when we were deciding and I noticed the blonde with blue eyes look over to her crew mate with that high school mean girl "Seriously?" look. I was appalled. I've never seen such a poor attitude within ones workplace. Especially an ice cream shop. What can be so bad about working at an ice cream shop in the summer? Before me and my daughter had came in we could see from the car, both girls were sitting at the front table right in front of the window on their phones! We ordered my longtime favorite--the chocolate malt--along with a vanilla and a strawberry soft-serve in waffle cones. There is simply nothing like these cold, sweet treats on a hot summer day. After visiting and trying ice cream shops all along the East Coast during our vacation, Carl's still stands out as a true gem. The quality, tradition, and experience are every bit as special as I remembered. Thank you for continuing to create memories for generations of families.
