So glad I found this coffee shop. I was an hour and a half early for my Amtrak trip and the station was right across the street from this coffee shop. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Friendly staff and it is the neighborhood hang out for the locals. Very cool vibe especially if you need a third space ie study or work. Early hours if you are catching the train they are right next to the train track steps kind of around the back of their parking lot it is very close. Cozy space, good WiFi. The quality of the espresso and coffee is high here in my opinion and they do well with customizations. I recommend the drip and espresso drinks as that's what I've had although I see people ordering everything ie frozen drinks also. I would rank this place top 2 or top 3 in fxbg and I'm not including or considering the chain or franchise places as fxbg has a good selection of independent coffee shops. I had the iced mocha coffee ant it was very good the service was good I did end up buying 2 bags of coffee, to try at home. Love this place! It's right next to the train station on a quiet street outside downtown. Pastries were delicious and tasted homemade. We got a decaf latte and a cold brew, both were great and super reasonably priced. If you like chai tea .. 25 30 Espresso has the best chai I've had in the Fredericksburg area. Powerful statement but, it's true. The chai is extremely creamy, not too sweet, and just just enough foam. I walked in the other morning and asked for my usual, and they actually remembered! This cafe is located on the far end of Old Town Fredericksburg, just a few steps from the Amtrak/VRE tracks. Located on a corner and with parking in the rear, this is a great spot to try for some regular drip and specialty coffee drinks. They also have breakfast sandwiches made every morning, along with muffins and other sweets. This cafe is inviting and can be a great place to hang out and study. I had the regular drip coffee from Honduras and it was light yet bold. I also had the egg, cheese, and bacon breakfast sandwich on a croissant. I love that it was real cheddar cheese, not Kraft singles. It was filling and quite tasty. I also tried the chocolate caramel monkey bread muffin and it was delicious. Messy but worth it. This coffee bar also has a side window where you can order to-go. It's like a drive-thru, but you just walk up to the window. Cool feature. I'll certainly be back! read more

This is one my favorite coffee houses in Fredericksburg, VA. It's close to the historic heart of town but still has a private lot for parking which is essential for avoiding the public lots and long walks. 25 30 refers to the latitude at which coffee grows. Accordingly 25 30 features coffees from around the world. On this particular visit I was only looking for a quick caffeine fix, but 25 30 also offers a variety of tasty baked goodies if you're also looking for a snack. There's plenty of seating and you're welcome to linger over your coffee all day if you're so inclined. Service is friendly and fast and they offer a wide variety of coffee based drinks as well as teas along with sugar free syrups and all the alternative "milks". The atmosphere is global and eclectic with comfortable seating and plenty of space. It's always been quiet whenever I've stopped by, so it's a good place to relax and get away from it all over a cup of great coffee. read more

I had to stop by again while in town for my favorite blackberry latte, I can only find it here. We actually each had two blackberry lattes and vegan muffin and took two chocolate muffins to go. I really like this little place, it is clean, bright and the staff in friendly and knowledgeable. I do wish the shirts did not have skeletons on them, would have gotten one with a coffee theme to take back home. I will be back again. read more

My 10month old pup and I met my dad at this quaint little coffee shop. My dad sat outside with the puppy while I went inside to get us some beverages; coffee for me, water for dog. The employee was extremely friendly and let me know that my dog was allowed inside as long as he didn't get on the furniture. I explained that although he probably wouldn't get on the furniture, he was a little rambunctious at the time, so it was probably best that he stayed outside. She couldn't find the dog bowl they usually let dogs use, so she just got me a plastic container instead. Great customer service! That mixed with a great tasting cold brew... If I wasn't such a coffee snob, this place would surely be awarded the big five! 25 30 has unassumingly managed to create a perfect ambiance that screams suspended in time. It's the combination of a vintage red brick building across the way and the roar of the Fredricksburg train line as I look out at the station, that sets me back to days when caffe latte was a word found only in Italian dictionaries and drip was the everyday caffeine dose. Thankfully for fellow coffee lovers, they honor the bean here and don't serve drip coffee after 9:00. After that, it's all about the pour over and espresso drinks. my soy latte was creamy and smooth and definitely worlds better than anything else local! 25 30 scores four stars rather than five because my standard for coffee is unreasonably high, but hey, at least I set high standards! It's also a star down because the inside ambiance simply doesn't match the amazing organic asthetic that is this old town industrial area. It's cozy and quaint, but there's definitely a disconnect between the inside decor and the stunning red brick across the road. This is the only place I know of that sells pour over coffee. I ordered one as soon as I got there and I was pretty happy with it. There is also free wifi, so you can bring your laptop and get work done. 25 30 has comfortable indoor seating and also outdoor seating for those who would like to enjoy the weather. There are plenty of pastries to choose from if you're hungry and no rush while you're there. The restrooms are clean along with the whole place. I liked 25 30 a lot, and their coffee was good. The only reason I'm not giving them the 5th star is because the coffee isn't over the top. I liked it, but not one of the best coffee's I've had. If you like coffee and you live in the area, you should make this your joint. While it's not the very best coffee I've ever had, it goes without saying that they're better than Starbucks. read more

I had no idea this shop was here until recently. It's a cute place and I love the decor and how open it is. Barista I talked to wasn't very friendly or helpful and the coffee is really expensive (they do pour overs). I decided on a latte for that reason, and it was a good latte but there are better lattes nearby. I didn't try their baked goods but they looked all right - might do that another time and update. Came by and brought my aunt to try coffee and pastry. We had the blackberry latte with a mixed berry scone. The barista asked if we had a punch card? We said no we didn't so she gave us the card. I did mention to her that this was the first time I was even asked about the card. We talked with the barista and asked a few questions about the coffees and food. I asked the baurista what the place was known for since it was my first time in their café. He told me they made really great espresso, better than other big name companies so I decided to give it a try. My friend ordered an espresso and I got a macchiato. Both came with a sparkling water chaser. My friend took a sip of hers and recoiled. She said it tasted citrusy and tart, almost chemical. I sipped mine and saw instantly what she was taking about. I've never tasted espresso like that. We spent the rest of our time at the café daring each other to drink our espressos without making a sour grossed-out face.....we couldn't btw hahaha. read more

I have a choice of several independent coffee shops in Fredericksburg, but this is my go-to favorite ! Coffee drinks are always well made and service is exceptional. Staff are routinely friendly and great at remembering my likes. Barista Selen is absolutely the best...always outgoing and takes a true interest in the clients. My 4 year old grandson has a crush on her...and when I pick him up from school, he makes sure I have his special drink cup so Selen can make him a chocolate milk when we stop by ! The owner Maureen is to be complimented on making sure her staff are friendly professionals...and her staff are to be complimented for being just that ! 25-30 also has a liquor license...and makes and serves fresh baked and other food items. My latte was intolerably awful. I hope it was just a bad batch that day. It tasted nothing like a typical latte, maybe it was burnt or the milk was bad? Got my morning coffee here everyday for a year. Can't beat the location next to the train station in the morning. For a while, they had a table out on the platform with some poor dude shivering his butt off while the ladies were inside across the street.
