I wasn't sure of how the process worked exactly and what I needed for the proof of service but Silvia explained it in an understandable way. I work as an Administrative Assistant to an Attorney. Our firm came across and began using Galaxy Process Servers many years ago, well before the Pandemic so we've have quite a long relationship with this particular outfit (at least 4 years). We have given some pretty damned difficult serves to them where debtors were trying to duck or avoid service entirely. They always do an excellent job including being meticulously detailed in their Declarations, when those are needed in conjunction with difficult serves, etc. They are very flexible and willing to work with us when we have to compromise and their flexibility is a wonderful asset. Silvia and Kris are always very communicative. They go above and beyond for us and are always willing to do a little bit more for us when we need it - for example, we sometimes give additional instructions via email or text. If we need them to take pictures of the serves, with time and date stamps including location shown via longitude / latitude, they do it without blinking an eye. As any decent business will get, from time to time, they do get busy and occasionally backed up with jobs which means there may occasionally be a time-delay in when they can serve your matter. If you have an important matter and need to make sure it gets done ASAP, I recommend that you call and talk to them directly. Explain your situation in detail and let them know your timeframes. We've never been disappointed by them. They are very trustworthy and they are our go-to servers every time (without hesitation). We rely heavily upon them, their services, and what they do for us. Though what they do is not always easy - depending upon the type of job - what / who has to be served - they are consummate professionals. I was really in a bind a few weeks ago, but Silvia of Galaxy Process Service SAVED me. I needed to serve a Small Claims complaint in Palmdale and Reseda. I think I contacted her on a Friday, and she served the document in both places by the end of the weekend. Galaxy is efficient, reasonably priced, and extremely reliable. All you can ask for in a process server. Silvia also did me a BIG FAVOR and filed the proofs of service, something that is not ordinarily done by the server of process in small claims cases. AVOID AVOID AVOID!!! I had the following experience: I went to the office of the woman who owns the company. She took my check for $50 to serve a company in Beverly Hills. She said she was going to do it the next day and I'll have the proof of service in a few days. Two weeks later, I had to postpone my lawsuit because she never served the papers and the court never received the proof of service. My calls to her went unanswered until I called from a different number and she picked up immediately but avoided to provide answers as to why she didn't perform the service. If I could give a zero I would, but at least she picked up the first time I called, and we spoke long enough for her to tell me that she was in San Diego that weekend but would make her first attempt to serve the (3) subpoenas I needed first thing Monday morning. I informed her that that would be fine, but it had to be Monday as the case was going to trial on Friday. Sent her the email with my contact info and (3) subpoenas as requested. Email never was acknowledged, my 30 calls went unreturned, as did my numerous emails. She totally dropped the ball on me with no time left to fix her errors before trial. Was not able secure my witnesses. WILL NEVER EVER EVER EVER EVER use again, nor would I recommend service to anyone.
