After a very expensive divorce, my ex-wife "took me to the cleaners "and I found myself unable to pay all of my bills. Creditor began to sue me for the full amount of past due payments. I had to go in and ask how to respond to a summons of lawsuit that I was served at my home. Jaynie took the time to explain all of my options. After consulting with her for about 30 minutes, she suggested that I consider bankruptcy chapter 13. She explained that she would not be able to handle a chapter 13 type bankruptcy because my income is over $40,000, so she gave me a referral to an associate who is an attorney an expert in chapter 13 and suggested that I give him a call and ask for a free consultation. I felt so relieved by her openness and candor. After the 30 minutes, I asked her how much would her consultation charge be, and she told me no charge. I was floored! I love this place. Spent almost $500 with this location to file some legal documents. It was supposed to be an easy process, and I was told in six months I'd received a letter from the courts letting me know their decision. About a week ago, six months later, I received a notification from the courts that the documents were rejected due to a clerical error. The person who typed up our forms at we the people, I believe it was Jayne, left one digit out of my ZIP Code on the document. Since it was correctly entered in another area on the document, the address didn't match and the filing was rejected. Everything was filled out properly on my end, hence the reason the address was entered properly in one area on the document she prepared. It is now too late for me to file that same simple document. The new filing I have to do will be more expensive, more time consuming, and significantly more complicated. I contacted the office, and I didn't even ask for a full refund (which I absolutely deserve), I asked for half of my money back. This woman gaslighted me and told me that it was MY fault for not more closely scrutinizing the document SHE prepared. Ma'am, that's why I hired you. She stated that we could just re-file the same document (didn't offer to re-do it for free or even a discount), completely ignoring the fact that it's too late to file the same document. Wildly unprofessional, unreliable, and a waste of time and money. Any decent business would've acknowledged their mistake, apologized, and tired to make it right. I got none of that. Just double talk and twisting of the situation to make her mistake my fault. Very disappointed. read more

I am so disappointed in the quality of customer service from We The People. Jayne was always kind when I was able to have a conversation with her. I had a very simple matter that should have taken no more than 6 months to file and complete. I petitioned in October 2022 and finally had to find a new paralegal in December 2023 to take over my case. There was little to absolute no communication from anyone at this business. I would wait months and send many follow-up emails as well as voicemails before I would receive anything. For how much stress I was already under this business did not help. Many times their phone would be out of order/disconnected. I have gone to the building during operating hours and the door would be locked. I am not an impatient person. As long as there is communication I am always willing to work with you. I would ask for updates on my case and info on what to expect next and the answer I would receive on the majority of the replies from this office was "I will contact you when I hear from the court". Then months would go by. If you are looking for a cheap service and have all the time in the world, this place is for you. Otherwise, go elsewhere. read more

Father passed away and we realized we needed to do our own trust. WTP is an expedient way to get the ball rolling, but there were certain things they failed to do according to our expensive Beverly Hills-based estate atty. So it was good to have their counsel, which is probably cookie-cutter in nature, and get a Family Trust established, but 10 yrs later, we are reworking it--as much because circumstances change and people enter and exit your life over time, as the quality of their work product. Also, the people skills demonstrated by this particular WTP office were less than desirable. You are dealing with h walks, health directives, the legacy of our lifetime -- so it would be nice to have prepared who you feel care. Trying to get a simple no-contest divorce through We The People Burbank has been a massive waste of time and money. They looked at my case and gave me bad advice and in the end, after a year of back and forth and filing things, serving, waiting, checking in, etc, the court rejected my case for a concern I had already flagged with them at the outset. WTP said the thing I was concerned about wasn't going it be an issue -- it was. On top of them leading me down a fruitless path, they were hard to get ahold of throughout the process and often wouldn't respond at all to calls or emails. They've offered to waive the fees to restart my divorce (this time in an expedited fashion) and they provided the paperwork to begin again. I showed another divorce expert their new plan and he told me that it's also not going to work because I've been married over five years and the courts will reject it again, 100%. These guys are major time wasters -- be warned. I want my money back for the original divorce but when I called their office today, I got a "this number is not in service". We had an appointment this morning to pick up a trust that was in the safe. We arrived at 12:30 our appointment time and the woman that has the combination was not here. Now we have to wait until she arrives in Burbank from Long Beach to get the trust that is ours. We returned at 3pm. a we were told it was too late in the day. We ordered their mystery shirt product on November 29th. OVER a MONTH later (the first week of January)we finally received the shirts. This after trying to contact the conpany by email (received one email out of 3 back giving an excuse of weekends and holidays not counting towards their processing and shipping times ) finally got ahold of a person after calling them several times and the person asked if we wanted a refund or them to FINALLY ship the product out, to which i said no we do not want the product we want a refund. I have had a horrible experience using this service. We the People was recommended to me for facilitating what should be a straightforward and fairly simple uncontested divorce process. Since soliciting their services in October of 2020, I've encountered delays and unresponsiveness far beyond anything that could be considered reasonable. I've left voicemails, emails, and have used their website's "contact us" feature to connect and months have gone by with no response. I've had to handle things on my own that I paid them for. I was not pleased with their service. They put the incorrect dates for my child's birthdate on two different pages with two different dates and my separation date. Gave them the papers they needed but never filed them. Seems like they didn't take my divorce case very seriously. Always had to call them for information because they were not doing their job. Jayne helped me switch the Agent of Service for my corporation to be filed in Sacramento last year and made it quick simple and very affordable. This year someone contacted me and said, that after searching online, that my incorporated company name was available to register with the state! I kind of panicked and called Jayne immediately. She looked up my company name on the state of CA register and found that the name of the company was still active and could not be registered to anyone. Whew... what a relief.
