The owner is super nice and responded to my Facebook message quickly. My tech is Viet and the sweetest auntie. My pedicure was done well and she didn't try to upsell. The only trash talk I overheard was from the other Viet tech who did my daughter's mani and she did it in English and right in front of me LOl. She was appalled the owner didn't charge full price instead of kids price for my daughter who is 11. The owner did the design and she did the actual mani. I love that she didn't try to be sneaky about it and it wasn't true smack. All the ladies we spoke to were so sweet and the owner was hyping up every single tech there. I haven't been back yet because of the distance, but this my personal favorite in the area. Clean, great work, no trash talking behind their customer's back! The three staff were all sitting with clients. But one quickly greeted me, asked what services I needed and let me know that a staff will serve me shortly. This would be my only complaint that it wasn't a few minutes. But as soon as the owner arrived he started the nail removal process until the staff can finish the work. In summary the staff that did my nails and I highly recommend her, Cassie, is efficient, clean and did an excellent job on removal and manicure. I definitely will come back to this place as the price is reasonable and the staff is professional. Cash is ordered so I happened to have cash and paid booth service and to in cash. Unfortunately, my friend booked appointments at the Venus Nails in Massaponax (next to Planet Fitness in the Target plaza). You may want to read that review first. I told her, after that experience, I would take her to the good Venus Nails in Fredericksburg. Venus might not feel like its in the best neighborhood. It is right on Rt. 1. Busy road, the plaza is older, and the number of old broken cars around could scare you off. DONT LET IT! As soon as you enter, you are greeted by a light and spa-like beauty. Beautiful marble tiled floors, white wave paneled walls, and beach scene wallpaper sets the mood for what has always been a relaxing and exceptional experience. Upon being seated for pedicures, we were offered beverages, coffee, tea, water, or soda. We accepted the offer and beverages were brought to us. My two friends were getting manicures and pedicures while I opted for just the pedicure. I asked for the Men's Sport Pedicure - sugar scrub, callus treatment, moisturizing masque, paraffin wax and lotion massage ($55). While technically it is the only "Men's" option on the menu, it still offers Polish, so any and all menu items are available to men and women. My pedicurist was good (not great, but not horrible). Minor polite conversation and thorough attention paid to my feet and legs. I think she massaged my legs a little extra since my friends were getting manicures and I was alone in my pedicure chair. Overall, I love Venus and they have yet to disappoint! Thank you for a wonderful visit after such a disaster last time at a different salon.

A tiny bowl to put you hand in and he filed my nails, then base coat and wanted to get by with one coat of nail polish and I said NO two....then the clear top coat.....no pushing back the cuticle he did trim along the cuticle....but they should have been pushed back then trimmed.....and NO lotion or hand massage......I believe the guy was the owner.......I hope other heed my advise....I should have just taken the 28 and thrown it away......RUN RUN RUN

I came in and let them know that I was seeking the above. I was told there would be a 10minute wait prior to the pedicure which was no problem as it gave me time to pick out my nail color. Shortly after a lady had me come back and got started on my pedicure which I thought was great and relaxing especially with the massage chair. Upon completion I thought it was a little weird they did not take me to the table to dry my nails but instead used a box fan to dry them (i know it has been years since I had a pedicure but didn't think that much changed in that time). However, I didn't complain. Now! Once they were done with the pedicure I reminded them I needed my eyebrows waxed. They said it would be another short wait which again was fine as I knew I was a walk in. Mind you, I assume there was only one person this day that could do it but during my pedicures I saw her stop doing nail extensions and take other walk-ins to do waxing. Over 30 minutes later I inquire with the pedicurist and she said she would be with my shortly so I continued to wait. In the meantime another nail appointment came in as she was finishing her current client and was still picking out nail colors. My pedicurist and this technician were talking with each other before the pedicurist came over to me and said she would not be able to get to me anytime soon. What? I understand you had another client come in however, anyone who has ever been to a nail salon knows that they accept walk-ins and will have to step away from you to help someone else. The icing on the cake was when I got home I was sitting cross legged on the couch and went to look at my nails and noticed that some of the nails weren't completely done to the end of the nail and one even had a section that looked like a 2nd coat wasn't completely done on it as it was lighter than the other part. I just moved here so I'm shopping around for a good…read morenail place and I'm really picky when it comes to how my manicures should look because of my job's dress code. For comparison, the last place I went to in Fredericksburg was rude, hurt me multiple times (even shook my wrist to get me to "relax my hand" when I actually have wrist problems) and completely ignored my request so I left unhappy. All I ask is for the nail tech to follow directions and not hurt me and I'll give a good rating. This said, the people here were really nice. My nail tech, Ruby, did exactly what I asked. I had another tech do my pedicure and she did great too (I wish I knew her name but she had blonde hair and a cute starface sticker on her face) The Vietnamese coffee here was good and made it even better. I guess there's only one thing that I would change and that would be the music (the same tracks play over and over again). I get that it's the "luxe" vibe but I do find it a tad bit overstimulating when I'm trying to relax. I'll update my rating to 5 stars if that changes Thank you!
