My brow wax with Rhiannon was perfect - she really listened to what I was looking for, stopped several times during the appointment to check in to make sure the style and shape were what I was looking for and really nailed it. She was pleasant and friendly and made me feel very comfortable. Next was the express mani pedi with Paige. The best I have ever had, hands down. You can tell Paige really cares about what she does and it shows. She went above and beyond to make sure everything was smooth and perfect, even adding some products to smooth my feet. The shape of my nails is perfect. She was the perfect blend of really polite and respectful while also being friendly and sweet, a consummate professional.. My favorite thing about this super clean salon is how proud the staff are to work there. Each person I encountered clearly loves their job, their coworkers and the owner of the establishment. SHE came up with the idea that she would set the time for 5 but I could show up between 5:15-5:30 because she blocked enough time out of me, which would allow me to get to her. This was our understanding for over year and half. Towards the end of this year and half relationship, over a two month period, I was in there 5 times for weddings/events. This was a lot of money, and not once did she tell me this arrangement was no longer working. We'd text each other when I was on my way to let her know or when SHE was running late with other clients before me. No big deal. When I arrived the last time (as normal), no "hello" or greeting, I was immediately told I was "disrespectful and rude with her time" and proceeded to argue and make baseless accusations against me. I told her I was never aware this wasn't working with her and had she told me the last time I was in (two weeks prior) we could figure out a new arrangement. Well, they were about five weeks overdue, so you can imagine what kind of shape they were in. Yvonne worked on them gently and diligently for close to an hour, getting them back into shape. (Fortunately, I keep my calluses under control every time I take a shower, so she did not have to do any scraping.) The hot towel and massage were a blessing. His massage was so rough, it was definitely not relaxing, as I was wincing in pain. Finally, the torture was over (at least the pedicure - not the kiddie music torture). I went to a different man for my manicure. Once again - super rough... and SLOW. A manicure with just polish (not even gel) took an hour - all while that stupid kid show was playing on repeat! He cut my cuticles back so far, they bled too. So, all in all, I left with a headache, bloody fingers and bloody toes! Today my big toes are swollen and hurt, and blood is crusted next to the nails. I'm out of town and so worried they will get infected for my party this weekend. Avoid this place at all cost!! By the way, the salon was dirty.
